Meanwhile, in the Wolf Group Hotel at seven o’clock in the evening. The Howard family officially started the party for their goddaughter.
Hayden was all smiles as he stood in the hall while he was accompanied by Andrew and Marcus to welcome the guests. The Howard family’s banquet was held in Wolf Group, so everyone who was invited would definitely come.
Luxury cars arrived one after another while big shots entered one by one. Hayden brought William and Marcus to greet the guests attending the banquet with a smile.
Richard arrived at around 7. 30 pm. He smiled and greeted Hayden before he asked Andrew and Marcus, “Why are you accompanying him?”
“Mr. Clark, why can’t we accompany Grandpa?” Andrew asked.
“Don’t think too much. I’m just curious because I haven’t seen William around. Where is he?”
“Don’t be surprised. We’ve already planned the agenda. Mr. Field and I will accompany Grandpa to greet the guests. William will take Braelynn downstairs when the party starts, and you’ll see him then.” Andrew answered with a fake smile.
After Andrew finished, a smirk flashed across Richard’s face. “Andrew, what did you just call Braelynn? Shouldn’t you call her Aunty now? How can you call her by her name directly? Isn’t that too rude?”
“It’s not up to you to decide whether I need to be polite or not, Mr. Clark. My grandfather will decide,” Andrew retorted.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk!” Richard glanced at Hayden, who pretended not to have heard his conversation with Andrew. It seemed like the older man didn’t want to speak up for him. “I’ll go up and take a look!”
Richard wanted to see how Braelynn looked when she dressed up. He was about to go to the lounge when Marcus reached out to stop him.
“William is Braelynn’s elder brother. It’s only right for him to accompany her sister. Mr. Clark, you’re an outsider, so why should you meet her?”
“That’s right. As a guest, you should be self-aware. No one would stop you from getting food or drinks, but it’s inappropriate for you to see the main star of the party.” Andrew continued.
“Everyone is so close with each other. What’s the matter if I see her? We’re in a modern society now, so opposite genders don’t have to keep a distance anymore.”

Andrew stopped Richard from seeing Braelynn, and Marcus also joined him as well.

“Richard, go over there and eat something. William will take Braelynn down in a while. We have to give the guests some suspense, don’t we?”
Since Hayden had spoken, Richard couldn’t insist on visiting Braelynn either. He looked at Marcus and Andrew resentfully and said, “You two just wait and see!”
Marcus and Andrew raised their eyebrows at him and almost said to Richard, “Come and attack us if you dare.”
Richard went to the hall in a bad mood. He saw Gavin and Archer at first glance, so he immediately went up to greet them. After he talked to them, Michael came and took the initiative to say hello to Gavin and Archer as well. However, Richard frowned when he saw Michael coming.
“Michael, why are you here? Didn’t you go to the Floyd family to attend Azalea’s party?”
“Why should I? I have nothing to do with Azalea,” Michael replied.
Richard was really unlucky this evening. He was already pissed off by Andrew and Marcus at the door, and now he was scolded by Michael.
However, he had no reason to lose his cool. He sat down gloomily and a waiter brought him some wine. When he reached out and took the cup in his hand, a commotion was heard just as he was about to drink. “They’re here! William has shown up!”
The crowd was in an uproar. Richard’s expectations rose when he heard the news of William’s appearance because he wanted to see Braelynn immediately. In fact, he hadn’t seen Braelynn dressed up before, so he immediately put down his cup and walked over.
Everyone in the hall looked up at the stairway and saw William’s charming face.
William was not wearing a suit. He was wearing an ordinary white shirt and black pants. However, his face alone was enough to stun everyone. Richard thought in his heart, “You’re not supposed to be the star of this party. You’re going too far, aren’t you?”
Just then, William moved to the side slightly. Braelynn was wearing a light golden dress and she appeared behind William. She was not alone and she was holding Valeria’s hand.
Braelynn was a little nervous about being the focus of attention for the first time in her life. Valeria held her hand and said in a low voice, “It’s okay, just take it as if we’re on a casual outing.”
Braelynn almost laughed when she heard that and the tension in his heart disappeared instantly. She and Valeria went downstairs side by side. Meanwhile, Hayden was standing at the foot of the stairs with a kind smile as he waited for Braelynn. When he watched her come down, he reached out and held Braelynn’s hand. Then, she was led by Hayden to the centre of the hall.
Everyone’s eyes fell on Braelynn. Her beauty and aura gained the attention of everyone who attended the banquet.
“She’s too beautiful! No wonder Hayden acknowledged her as his goddaughter and even held such a grand banquet.”
“Yes, she is very capable. She was William’s classmate and she graduated from one of the top universities in the world. She is handling Valeria’s company now. She is so smart and beautiful. Who wouldn’t like her?”
“I wonder if she has a boyfriend? My son is about the same age as her. If she doesn’t have a boyfriend, I’ll have to talk to Hayden to see if it’s convenient for them to meet.”
Braelynn was showered with praises while Richard’s gaze followed her. When he heard that someone was actually thinking of dating Braelynn, an unhappy expression flashed through his eyes.
He looked at the person who spoke and said, “She already has a boyfriend!”
“Really? Who is his boyfriend? Do we know him”
“Somewhat.” Richard replied.
The other side was very surprised. “Is he from B City? Who is it?”
“Yes! He’s a local, it’s just that I can’t reveal his identity in detail for some reason. Let me tell you something first. He returned from overseas and he’s the CEO of a listed company. He is as young and handsome as William!” Richard bragged.
