Azalea knew that Emily must be feeling very disappointed judging by her saddened gaze. However, she was never a considerate person and did not have a habit of tolerating others by sacrificing her happiness. She played dumb and returned back to her room without comforting Emily at all.
She currently had more important things to do. It was a great opportunity for the news of her to work with the Floyd family to be published. She needed to try her best in coming up with something juicy to make it into a hot topic.
Azalea had already thought of several ideas becoming the hot news. Her plan included the singing ceremony and the celebration party. She received confirmation from Meadow that Michael would be attending the party. Hence, she had decided to seize the opportunity and create something interesting with Michael.
She wanted to get on Abbie’s nerve and sow discord between Abbie and Michael. She also hoped that her juicy news with Michael would be an explosive topic among the public.
Azalea was lost in her thoughts and swiftly contacted her agent upon returning to her room. She instructed her agent in planning the aftermath of events for her.
She talked about her idea in detail and received full support from her agent. “Do leave things for me in helping you to plan things accordingly. I swear to make you the most popular drama queen of the year!”
Her agent was no ordinary person and Azalea felt relieved after sharing the thoughts with her. Azalea just had to sit back and wait patiently for things to blow up. Her time to shine brightly as a famous actress would soon commence.
Her schedule would soon be packed with entertainment shows and script discussions. Azalea was overjoyed upon thinking about the banknotes that she would soon receive.
The following scene had occurred in the Howard family’s estate. A red sports car let out a loud screech and made a halt at the entrance of the old estate. Abbie got down from the vehicle and marched into the house with a stern look on her face. She raised her voice upon entering the living room, “Valeria! Valeria!”
Valeria was seen to be enjoying her fruit salad in the dining room. She turned her head around upon hearing Abbie’s voice and said, “I’m here. Do come over and have a taste of this fruit salad. It’s so delicious!”
Abbie was obviously not in the mood to appreciate the food. She headed towards the dining room and reached out her hand to pull Valeria up from her seat. “Hurry up and get up, I have something to tell you!”
“Miss Clark, do please wait until Mrs. Howard is done with her salad,” The servant politely suggested.
“Who would be in the mood for a bowl of salad when things had gone out of hand? Valeria, come with me right now!”
Valeria took the bowl of salad in her hand and was eventually dragged to the living room by Abbie. Hayden was out of the home to play chess with others. The servant and bodyguards were the only ones at home. Abbie took a seat and said angrily, “Valeria, do you have any idea of this matter? Azalea, that bitch, was hired by the Floyd family and would be having a signing ceremony in the afternoon tomorrow. There will also be a grand celebration in the evening. Both my brother and Michael had received the invitation.”
“Is this the reason why you’re so agitated?” Valeria took a spoonful of salad and continued speaking, “Why would you be fuming with anger over such a petty matter? Do have a bite of this salad to calm you down!”
Abbie pushed her hand away and replied in an annoyed tone, “Valeria, I’m initially not pissed off at this matter. Why would I make a fuss over such a useless piece of shit like Azalea? However, she just called me and used Michael to challenge my patience towards her. She claimed that Michael would be attending the celebration party tomorrow evening to congratulate her. I then felt upset upon hearing such news from her.”
“How dare she cross the line?” Valeria sneered and continued speaking, “What did Michael say to you then? Is he very persistent in showing up at the stupid party?”
“Yes, I had an argument with him not long ago. I called in hopes for him to not attend the party that was organized by the Floyd family. However, he said that it was not feasible as he had received the invitation. The Floyd family would be mad if he chooses to not show up at the celebration. I then threatened of ending things with him as I was so mad about it. He eventually compromised and would use falling sick as an excuse. However, I am still feeling rather mad about this matter. Is this an indication that Azalea, that bitch, is much more influential than I am now? It is outrageous for me to use such a method to keep Michael by my side, right? I am increasingly pissed off when I dwell into this matter!”
Valeria knew how moody was Abbie currently feeling. She sneered and said, “You need not lose your temper over this matter. Do have a bite of this delicious salad and don’t worry about it. I promise to help you out!”
“What? How are you going to solve this problem for me?”
“I have some tricks under my sleeve, that’s for sure! Azalea desperately wants to make herself into the news but I have decided to disrupt her plan. What is the big deal of her being hired as the brand spokesperson of the Floyd family? I am aware that she hopes to become a trending topic in the news. Well then, I shall crush her dream once and for all.”
Abbie was stunned for a moment upon hearing about it and said, “Valeria, this is not a small matter and I’m just complaining to you. I felt much better after sharing my feelings with you. I am aware that it would cost a fortune to cover a hot topic and I don’t think that it is a feasible option. That bitch is not worth such an effort!”
“Don’t worry as I have a plan in mind.” Valeria picked up her phone and called William. “Honey, I recall that you told me yesterday that you are hoping dad to deem Braelynn as his goddaughter. You are not joking around, aren’t you?”
“Of course not! I have made up my mind after thinking it through. It’s just that I have yet to tell my father about it. I’m sure that you are well aware of his temper and I have no idea whether he would accept my proposal or not. I need to come up with a plan to persuade him.”
Valeria listened to his words and winked at Abbie, who seemed confused. “I’ll take care of that and dad would soon agree to this matter. However, you have to return the favor about something else.”
“What is it then?”
“Didn’t Azalea, that bitch, agree to work with the Floyd family in hopes to become famous? I don’t intend to see any traces of her name in the most searched hashtags. I also do not wish to see the influential people from B CIty attend the stupid celebration party tomorrow. Can you fulfill such a request for me?”
William burst into laughter and said, “No problem. However, you need to convince dad to accept Braelynn as his goddaughter latest by tonight!”
“This is definitely a child’s play. I’ll persuade dad about it right away! Honey, I don’t wish to see Azalea’s name as a trending topic in the news from now onwards. Can you do that for me? Well, you are not allowed to set foot in the house if you fail to complete this mission!”
Valeria snapped her fingers at Abbie upon ending the conversation with William. “It’s done! You won’t be able to see that bitch’s name as long as my husband agrees to settle things accordingly. You would not be feeling blue upon thinking about the celebration party anymore!”
“Valeria, are you sure that this plan of yours would be a success? Your husband would need to break the bank in solving this matter, right? I don’t intend for you and your husband to spend a fortune just to get rid of her name in the hot-searched topic. Don’t you think that it is utterly unnecessary?”
“You’re right, I need to remind my husband about it. He is forbidden to spend any money to make this mission a success!” Valeria then sent a text message to William which stated, “You are not allowed to use your financial power on this task. Do not spend a dime to diminish her name from the hot-trending topic! A bitch like her does not deserve it! You need to spend the night elsewhere if you disobey my instruction!”
William was in a conversation with Marcus when he received Valeria’s message. He grinned upon glancing at the message while Marcus asked with a confused look on his face, “Mr. Howard, why are you smiling?”
“My wife sent a message and instructed me to not spend any money in avoiding Azalea’s name from appearing at the trending topic in the news. I am not allowed to return home if I fail this task! Don’t you think that my life is incredibly hard?”
“It would be rather difficult to settle this matter without utilizing the power of money, wouldn’t it?” Marcus felt that Valeria’s request was rather demanding.
“What are you talking about? My wife does have a point and I fully support her. It is not worthy for us to spend a fortune just for a useless piece of s*it like Azalea, isn’t it?”
“Mr. Howard, do you have a plan in mind?”
“Of course. I don’t have to do anything as someone else would do the honor for us. We can just sit back and relax! However, I’m currently worried that my wife would not be able to persuade my dad in accepting Braelynn as his goddaughter. I have a feeling that my dad would refuse such a request.”
