When Bobby saw William walk out of the hotel, he got off the car and welcomed him. He opened the car door for William to get on while he sized him up and down.
William got in the car and let out a sigh of relief. He looked much more relaxed compared to when he just arrived. Bobby felt relieved and asked, “Sir, how did it go?”
“Nothing much,” William replied faintly, “Let’s go home. Valeria is still waiting for me.”
“Yes, sir,” Bobby replied. As he drove the car, he also observed William’s expression. Bobby could not help but ask after a while, “The mysterious man is not him, right?”
William shook his head, “It’s hard to say now, but he just called the police in front of me. That’s a 50/50 chance, let’s just wait and see.”
After William left, Callum did not have the mood to eat anymore. He also got up and left the hotel. When he returned to Wolf Group, Fandree was watching TV in the living room. He was surprised to see Callum and asked, “Why are you here?”
“I came back to see you,” Callum answered vaguely.
Fandrey took a look at Callum and found that his face didn’t look very good so he immediately asked, “How’s everything with David’s case? Did the police find anything?”
“The police are still investigating. Dad, where is mum?” Callum asked.
“Your mother went out to have dinner with Valeria,” Fandrey answered.
Callum felt a little unhappy when he heard that Deborah had gone out to eat with Valeria, “When did mum and Valeria get along so well?”
“How would I know? She hated Valeria to the extreme before this, but now, her attitude changed completely, they became so close now,” Fandrey shook his head and continued, “I’m not allowed to follow her when she goes out to have her meal with Valeria, saying that I’m feeling uneasy in Valeria and that I’ll disturb them. It’s so ridiculous. By the way, have you eaten yet?”
“No,” Callum shook his head.
“Then I’ll have someone prepare it for you?”
“No, dad, come with me. I have something to say to you.”
Seeing Callum’s expression, Fandrey knew that it was an important matter. He immediately got up and followed Callum to the study room. Callum said slowly after closing the door, “Dad, I came back to meet William, I suspect that William has something to do with David’s death!”
“Are you out of your mind?” Fandrey looked at Callum in shock.
“I’m not out of my mind. In the afternoon before the accident, William’s men were tracking David, then something happened to David that night. I suspect that it was William’s men who killed him.”
“Why would William want to go after David?” Fandrey tried to control his temper and asked.
“I don’t know. I came back for this, I had dinner with William tonight. I wanted to ask him why was he tracking David and I also wanted to know whether David’s death has something to do with him.”
“And then? What did he say? Is he related to David’s death?” Fandrey asked.
“He refused to tell me the reason, he only admitted that he had sent someone to follow after David. He also said that David hid something from us. Well, we had a bit of conflict. I called the police told them that William had been tracking David.”
“You fool!” Fandrey landed a punch on the table as he heard Callum’s words. He then scolded, “Why didn’t you discuss it with me? Why did you go to see William on your own?”
“I just want to know the truth. William was really disrespectful, I was angered and I couldn’t hold it back so I called the police.”
“You disappoint me so much! How can you call the police? Even if William really did that, you have no reason to call the police too! You should at least come back and discuss it with me first. William is your only nephew and Tilda’s only child. How can you do this to Tilda?”
“Dad, I’m sorry! I was too impulsive, I… I just don’t want to see David die like this. I just wanted to know the reason, I didn’t think so much at that time.”
“All right, it’s too late to say anything now!” Fandrey waved his hand and said, “Now, you definitely angered William. I know him very well, he will not forget someone who offended him. He’s a nice person if you didn’t offend him. But if you did, even if you’re his relative, he won’t let you go easily. I just made up with him and thanks to you, my effort is all gone now! Callum, what do you expect me to say?”
Callum understood what Fandrey meant. William was not someone to be messed with. Callum kind of turned against William for David tonight.
No matter whether William did it or not, he couldn’t tolerate someone who offended him. Callum knew that they would be on bad terms from then onwards. Callum felt regretful, he should have controlled himself. Why did he lose his cool at that time and decide to call the police just because of how William looked at him?
Outside the door of the study room, Angel stood tiptoed there. She covered her mouth in surprise when she heard the conversation between Fandrey and Callum. She dared not to listen to it anymore so she tiptoed back to her room after that.
As soon as she closed the door, she sent a message to Veronica, “Mom, something happened. Dad and William turned against each other!”
“Why?” Veronica asked.
“It seems that it’s because of dad’s bodyguard, David. You know that he died right? Dad suspected that it was William who did it. They met each other tonight, and they quarreled. Then, dad called the police in a fit of anger.”
“Is this true?” Veronica didn’t believe Angel’s words at all.
“Yes, I just overheard it. Dad said that he called the police in front of William. What should I do now? They must have been on bad terms now because dad called the police in front of him.”
“That’s for sure! This guy, can’t he control himself a little?”
“Yes, grandpa also scolded him. But this is also a good thing. Now that dad and William are having conflict, he won’t be able to get the Floyd family’s property anymore. So, I will be the only heir of the Floyd family.”
“Ha! Don’t be too happy now. William is not an ordinary person. If you offended him, he will destroy the Floyd family and take over everything.”

“How would I know? You should pay attention to your grandfather, your father, and William. Let’s wait and see first!”
After sending the message, Veronica sneered and called Ornard, “Ornard, I have good news. Angel told me that Callum and William had a dispute over David’s incident. Callum reported to the police in a fit of anger. Now the two of them are completely on bad terms.”
