After leaving the Revolving Restaurant, William sent Fandrey and Deborah back to Wolf Group Hotel before bringing Valeria home.
She received a call from Raymond on the way. “Talitha just sent me a message and asked me to meet her at the Hot Spring Hotel in the suburbs. She called me before and said she didn’t have a place to live anymore, so I asked her to live in Saunder’s Enterprises hotel. I asked the hotel staff, but they said that Talitha didn’t go there. She suddenly sent this message to me, which is too strange. I suspect that Natasya has attacked her.”
“Your suspicion is right. Natasya has indeed done something to Talitha. This message was definitely not sent by Talitha, and the sender must be her attacker. The purpose is to frame the whole incident on you.”
Raymond sneered. “Would she be so vicious? Should I go and see what’s going on now?”
William replied with a smile, “Yes, you can pretend to meet her at the meeting place. I’ve arranged someone to keep an eye on her, so nothing will happen.”
Talitha was knocked out and taken out of the city before the two men stopped the car. Then, they used Talitha’s phone to send a message to Raymond.
Raymond came back and said, “I will be right there. You can wait over there for a while!”
When the two men saw Raymond’s message, they sneered and said, “He took the bait. Let’s take action!”
They pushed Talitha out of the car while she was unconscious and dragged her to the reservoir. Then, she recovered her consciousness and began to struggle. It was dark outside in the wilderness and there was no one else. Both of the men didn’t give much thought to it before they covered Talitha’s mouth and dragged her to the reservoir.
Talitha sobbed and struggled. “Please let me go. As long as you let me go, I will pay you! I swear I will give you money!”
Why would the two of them pay attention to her? Then, they knocked out Talitha and threw her into the water as if she was an object.
Talitha, who had lost her consciousness, was thrown into the water and she sunk like a stone without struggling.
They looked at the shore and thought that Talitha was unconscious. There wasn’t anyone around and it was impossible for her to survive this, so they clapped their hands and left quickly.
After they left, Bobby came out from the darkness and jumped into the water to save Talitha, who was unconscious.
After Bobby sent Talitha to the hospital, he called William. “Sir, we’ve saved her and she isn’t in any danger. What should we do next?”
“I’ll handle the rest. You don’t have to worry about it.” William thought for a moment and called Marcus. “Contact our men in the police station and post a fake death notice.”
Marcus agreed, but William urged again, “If Raelyn wants to see the body later, find a makeup artist to make it look as if Talitha had died. Remember to get her jewellery and clothes as well. Let Raelyn and Natasya believe that Talitha is really dead.”
Marcus couldn’t help but laugh. “Mr. Howard, does Natasya have a death wish?”
“It seems like it! They have been causing trouble for too long and it’s time to deal with them!”
The next morning, the police issued an investigation report. “A female body was found in the reservoir outside the city. She was about 23 years old and dressed in fashionable clothes. The cause of death is being investigated and any information would be greatly appreciated.”
The auxiliary inspection announcement was a photo of Talitha’s face. Natasya had been waiting for the news. Although the person who did the job said that it had been successful, she still didn’t believe that unless she saw Talitha’s corpse with her own eyes.
Natasya recognized the person in the photo at a glance after the investigation report was released. She immediately called Devon. “Dad, the police report is out. I saw the photo and it’s definitely Talitha!”
“Let’s strike while the iron is hot and proceed to the next step! Let your mother know about this first.” Devon answered.
“Do you want me to tell her, or do you want to tell her yourself? If I tell her that Talitha is dead, she’ll definitely doubt me. So…” Natasya tentatively asked.
“You don’t have to worry about this and you can pretend to know nothing. If my guess is right, your mother will know this soon and she’ll call me. Leave the rest to me.”
After Raelyn had a big fight with Talitha yesterday, she went back to think about it all night. She was still worried about Talitha, so she got up in the morning and went to the hospital to see her. However, there was no trace of Talitha in the ward. She asked the nurse, who said that Talitha had been discharged from the hospital yesterday.
Raelyn called Talitha, but her daughter’s phone was turned off.
Raelyn felt uneasy. After a while, she called Talitha again and she still could not get through even after two hours. Raelyn was getting even more anxious by the minute.
She called Devon. “Honey, I called Talitha yesterday because of Natasya’s matter and we had a big fight. She was angry and she got herself discharged from the hospital. I can’t get through her phone right now and I’m very worried about her.”
“Don’t worry, Talitha must be throwing a tantrum. When she’s done, she’ll be fine and she’ll come back to us,” Devon comforted her.
“Even if she’s angry, she shouldn’t have turned off her phone. It’s fine if she doesn’t answer my calls, but why does she have to turn it off? Considering Talitha’s temper, how can she bear to not use her phone? She keeps her phone by her side all the time. I’m so worried. Dear, why don’t you arrange for some men to look for her?”
Devon agreed and said, “Okay, I’ll ask someone to keep an eye out for her.”
After hanging up, Devon waited for a while before calling Raelyn. “Raelyn, there seems to be something wrong.”
“What’s wrong?” Raelyn felt a chill in her heart.
“I just called someone to ask them about Talitha’s whereabouts. The person sent me an auxiliary inspection notice. Why does the person on the notice resemble Talitha so much?”
“What? Do you mean Talitha… No way! That’s impossible!” Raelyn subconsciously denied it.
“I think that it’s impossible as well. I have a photo of the report and you can have a look at it. Maybe the girl just looks like Talitha and it’s not actually her.”
Devon put on an act and sent the photo to Raelyn, who was stunned when she saw the photo. Wasn’t the corpse wearing the same outfit as Talitha?
She couldn’t see clearly because the face of the corpse had been blurred out, but the deceased’s earring, necklace, rings, and bag were exactly the same as Talitha’s.
Raelyn was about to collapse. She called Devon with trembling hands. “Honey! I… I saw the picture you sent… The person in the picture seems… seems to be our daughter…”
