Fandrey’s words made Deborah angry, “Fandrey, so you are not going to stand up for Angel? Are you going to watch our only granddaughter be bullied like this?”
“I didn’t say that, but we have to figure out what the truth is, right? Let me ask the bodyguards first.”
Fandrey looked at Angel and said, “Well, you go to take a shower first. If you are being bullied, I will not let go of anyone who bullied you!”
Angel then went to the bathroom to take a shower. Fandrey and Callum went to the study room right after. The two bodyguards who followed Angel were also called in.
“Tell me what happened today.” Callum said with a cold face, “Tell me everything that happened today with Angel. Don’t hide anything from us and don’t try to protect Angel. I want to hear you all out in a just and fair manner, understand?”
The two bodyguards began to tell the story immediately, and what they said was just like what Angel said. They told Callum that they saw Valeria’s car when they drove around. Then, Angel asked them to follow, so they did as she said.
It was true that Valeria caused a scene at the market. The two bodyguards continued to tell everything, from how Angel followed behind Valeria, got held down by Valeria’s bodyguards, and how the conflict occurred. They also mentioned how Valeria tried to stop the fight and how Angel accused Valeria of bullying her. Lastly, the story came to an end with how Abbie and Braelynn stood up for Valeria and taught Angel a lesson.
The important details of what truly happened were left out by the two bodyguards since they were utterly humiliated by the Howard family’s bodyguard. What they said was also biased towards Angel too.
Seeing that what the bodyguard said was almost the same as what Angel said, Fandrey’s face darkened and asked,
“If that’s the case, then isn’t that too much? Could it be that Valeria is behind all of this?”
Deborah chimed in, “Of course it is! Abbie and the other girl who bullied Angel weren’t crazy either, why did they target Angel? This must have something to do with Valeria! We can’t allow her to continue like that, otherwise, she will become more and more out of control in the future!”
“I have to ask William about this!” Fandrey who was looking sullen was about to call William when someone knocked on the door. The bodyguard came in and reported, “Marcus from Wolf Group is here.”
Fandrey was a little surprised. “Isn’t Marcus one of William’s men? What is he doing here at this time? Is he here to discuss this matter with us?” Fandrey thought to himself. He then frowned and said, “Invite him in.”
Soon, Marcus entered the study room and greeted everyone with a smile, “Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd, and Sir Callum!”
“Assistant Field, is there anything I can help you?” Fandrey asked.
“Yes! I have something important to speak with all of you,” Marcus opened his briefcase and then continued, “I have a video with me, why don’t we go to the living room and have a look?”
Fandrey and Callum looked at each other and followed Marcus to the living room. Marcus connected the video file to the TV in the living room. The video was played right after.
It turned out to be a video of Angel and Valeria’s conflict in the market.
In the video, Angel was following Valeria sneakily. She took out her phone and was ready to shoot, but was caught by the bodyguards. The bodyguards of the Floyd family immediately went forward to protect their master. Then, the two sides had conflicts, and Valeria stopped them as soon as she found out something was wrong.
After that, it could be seen in the video that Valeria also offered to send Angel to the hospital. However, Angel refused it and yelled at Valeria rudely. Braelynn and Abbie pointed out Angel’s mistake but Angel decided to teach Braelynn a lesson but was held down by her. After that, Angel lost control and shouted at them, causing Braelynn to shut her up with a tomato. Abbie also grabbed the tomatoes and smashed them on Angel. Everything that happened including the sound was captured in the video, nothing was missed out.
Fandrey and Callum didn’t expect there would be a video prove and they didn’t expect that Angel would reverse the truth. If Angel didn’t start to provoke them, everything was supposed to end there.
It was Angel who went to provoke Braelyn, and Braelynn just took action. After what she’d done, she came back and acted as if she was innocent. That really made Fandrey mad.
It was not only Angel who embarrassed herself, but Fandrey and Callum also felt ashamed. Fandrey’s face was serious as he spoke, “Assistant Field, can I know where does this video comes from?”
Marcus smiled politely when he spoke, “Here’s the thing, something happened to Valeria once. In order to avoid unpleasant incidents to happen again, William entrusted me to arrange some bodyguards to protect her. The bodyguard I arranged to follow after them will always take videos for the whole journey. If nothing happens, they won’t release the video. If anything happens, they will have to check the video and find out what’s wrong. The bodyguards reported it to me immediately after such a thing happened today, so that’s why I am here to explain the situation to all of you.”
Marcus’ words made sense. and it even showed how important Valeria was in William’s heart. Fandrey kept a straight face and did not say anything after that. Fortunately, he did not call William to question him. Otherwise, that would be really embarrassing.
Callum also felt very humiliated, he held back his anger and said politely, “We have watched the video and we also know what truly happened. Thank you so much, Assistant Field.”
“There’s no need to mention! If you guys have nothing to tell me, I’ll take my leave now,” Marcus bid them goodbye politely and left after that.
Fandrey looked at Callum and Deborah with a pale face, “Tell that girl to come here right now!”
After Angel came out of the bath, she was expecting Fandrey would help her. However, the tables turned. Seeing the video played on TV in the living room, she was stunned and could not say a word.
Fandrey stared at her coldly and said, “I always thought that you were just a little stubborn and a little dishonest and that’s all. I didn’t expect you to talk through your hat and make up nonsense like this! If we didn’t see the video, are you trying to fool us until the end? Have you considered the consequences of this matter?!”
They all knew that William was not to be trifled with. If Fandrey had dared to question him without knowing the truth, their already bad relationship would become worse although William would not say a thing.
Angel saw that both Fandrey and Callum’s faces were extremely dark so she knelt down immediately, “Grandpa! I know it’s my fault, but it’s all because of Valeria! If she hadn’t wronged me, I wouldn’t have been so angry to follow after her and caused trouble. I just wanted to question her in person why she wronged me…”
“Don’t you realize your mistake?” Fandrey waved his hand in disappointment, “If you’re a boy, I’m going to beat you up until you are able to get rid of all your evil intentions! But you’re a girl, I won’t beat you up, your dad can’t hit you either. So now, go back to your room and reflect on your actions! When you are done reflecting on yourself, you can come to me for a talk! I’ll be waiting for you to come to your senses!”
