Deborah and Angel head to the hospital along with a few of their bodyguards. Just a few minutes after they left, William came over.
As soon as he entered, he said to Fandrey and Callum, “Grandpa! Uncle! I have something to tell you.”
Both Fandrey and Callum were surprised to see his serious expression. Fandrey then told him, “Let’s talk in the study room.”
William started to speak when the three of them went into the study room and sat down, “I’m talking about what happened in the private room last night. It wasn’t an accident that my wife slipped, someone tripped her on purpose.”
“This…” Callum and Fandrey looked at each other, and they didn’t look well as they asked, “Who is it?”
“At that time, Angel and Azalea were the only people that were sitting closest to Valeria. But Azalea would not have the chance to trip my wife, so I suspected that it was Angel who did that.”
“Why would Angel do this?” Fandrey asked in confusion, “Both of you are cousins, and it’s also her first time meeting your wife. What’s her purpose of doing such a thing?”
“William, do you have any proof that Angel tripped your wife?” Callum did not believe that Angel would do such a thing, so he asked William for evidence.
“No, I don’t have any evidence! The room is flat, carpeted, and there is nothing that would make her slipped. I think it was too strange for her to slip suddenly. Someone must have done something. After asking Valeria, she realized that someone had tripped her. She couldn’t control herself. That’s why she knocked herself on the waiter. I believe that Valeria won’t lie!”
Fandrey frowned slightly when he saw that William was defending Valeria, “William, it’s not that we don’t believe you, but Angel really does not have the motive to do this to your wife. You said that Angel tripped your wife, so you have to show us the evidence, don’t you?”
“If I had any evidence, I wouldn’t sit here and tell you these,” There was no smile on William’s face when he said that, “Grandpa and uncle, I know it’s hard for you to accept it but Angel is not a good person, I want you to know this.”
“William, you haven’t spent much time together with Angel, so you don’t know her very well. Isn’t it too quick to say that she’s a bad person?” Callum refuted William’s words instantly. After all, she was his daughter. As a father, he had to protect her.
“Yes, I really didn’t spend much time with her and I don’t know much about her. But after something happened, I can see the nature of a person.” Since William had said that out, he couldn’t care less. So, he continued to tell them about what Angel had done to Natasya when they were at the Floyd family’s house last time.
“I knew and saw what she had done to Natasya during the time when I lost my memory abroad. She purposely pushed Natasya into the water, attempting to burn her with boiled water, and also trying to hurt her by putting a needle in her room. Both of you have been in the business industry for decades, you wouldn’t think that what happened to Natasya was purely an accident, would you?”
The way William said that made Fandrey and Callum speechless for a moment. They knew that what happened to Natasya last time was not an accident, they just didn’t want to think that what happened to her was actually related to Angel. After all, Angel was their family, and no one would believe that their family member would be such a bad person.
Fandrey was silent for a moment before he spoke again, “Your uncle and I know how you felt. We are willing to believe that your wife didn’t lie about this and it is true that Angel tripped her. But, can you tell me what is her motive for doing that? You’re her cousin and Angel was fond of you, there is no reason for her to do such a thing to your wife.”
Fandrey wanted to know the motive behind everything. For Fandrey, William was not Angel and he would not know what she was thinking. So far, except for Valeria’s words, there was really no evidence to prove that Angel had tripped Valeria.
William understood too. He was not there to blame nor scold them, but to warn them that Angel was not a simple person and asked them to try to keep an eye on her.
William’s expression relaxed a little when he noticed Fandrey and Callum didn’t defend or take side with Angel.
“Grandpa and uncle, I’m not here to blame both of you today, I’m just here to tell you what happened yesterday and remind you to keep an eye on Angel. It’s fine that nothing happened to my wife this time, yet if something really happened to her next time, I won’t be so kind to Angel anymore. My wife and child are my bottom line. No matter who it is, as long as they hurt them, I will never let them go!”
William was not dumb, he was the CEO of Wolf Group after all. If Angel had really done anything bad to Valeria, he would not be so kind to talk to them anymore. Instead, he would take action and give them a piece o his mind.
Fandrey and Callum were both smart people, so they knew the severity of the matter. So, after hearing what Willia said, Callum replied, “William, we will pay more attention to Angel. We will also find her to verify what happened last night. If she really did such a thing to your wife, I will make sure she apologizes to your wife.”
“There is no need to apologize. However, if something really happened to Valeria, I will turn Angel to the law. She is my cousin after all, and I don’t want her to become someone like that. I only hope that you guys can keep an eye on her, and don’ let her go astray. Otherwise, it would not just be her who will be in shame, but the entire Floyd family.”
After William left, Fandrey and Callum’s faces were very gloomy. Fandrey was the one who spoke first, “Do you think what William said is true? Did Angel really went off-limits?”
“Dad, to be honest, I don’t believe in William’s accusation of Angel. But why does he say that of Angel? There must be a reason behind it. So, as we thought, William’s wife and Angel have never met, so she has no reason to accuse Angel of doing anything to her.”
“There’s really no reason for Angel to do such a thing to Valeria, but it’s hard to say,” Fandrey paused for a moment and continued, “Let’s wait for Angel to come back and ask her properly. We have to find out the truth of the matter.”
In the hospital, Azalea was sobbing softly on the hospital bed. Deborah’s face was very serious as she asked, “Do you really have a conflict with Valeria? You’re not lying to me?”
“Madam, I don’t have a conflict with her. I’m just an actress and I’m not a big star. Why did I dare to have a conflict with her? It’s just that Valeria doesn’t like me.”
“Why not?” Deborah asked with a straight face.
“Madam, if I tell you, you won’t tell Valeria, right? To be honest, I’ve been blacklisted because of this matter. It took me a lot of effort to beg Valeria to let me go. If I’m still involved in this matter, then my life is truly ruined,” Azalea played the victim.
“Don’t worry, I’ll keep it a secret. I won’t let Valeria know.”
Azalea began to talk nonsense when Deborah promised her that she’ll keep a secret, “In fact, there is nothing between me and Valeria. The main reason is that my sister, Abbie, is a friend of Valeria. She likes my fiance, the great lawyer Michael Davis. Valeria wants to force me to give up my husband for Abbie, so she did that to me.”
“Are you telling the truth? Hasn’t she gone too far?” Deborah was so angry.
