Angel had been secretly observing William and thought that he seemed unhappy ever since Thomas appeared.
Thomas had a good temper and treated Fandrey, Deborah, and Callum politely. Other than that, he also took good care of her. Could it be that William was jealous of him?
Angel stared at William and realized that he looked at Thomas with displeasure especially when he was interacting with her.
She was extremely pleased to realize this.
William must be jealous of her being close to Thomas!
Since that was the case, she got closer to Thomas in order to stimulate William more. She was interested to see how William would react.
When William saw Thomas being so attentive towards Angel, a mischievous smile flashed across his face, and he took a few photos and sent them to Valeria.
Valeria was confused when she received the photos, “Hubby, who is this?”
“She’s my cousin, Angel. I guess Thomas took a liking to her, so he has been flattering her a lot. Does he want her? Angel’s social status is quite high since she’s my uncle’s only child. Compared to Abbie, Angel has a much better position.”
William implied that Thomas had impure intentions by getting close to Angel for her status.
Valeria immediately retorted, “He’s definitely not that kind of person!”
“Why do you think so?” William asked.
“Intuition! Anyway, he’ll never be that kind of person in my heart!”
William was unhappy after she said this, so he shot a cold glance in Thomas’ direction.
Angel coincidentally caught sight of his cold glance and confirmed her assumptions that he was jealous of Thomas being close to her.
In other words, William liked her too.
Therefore, she had to make use of Thomas to provoke William.
Angel felt happy, but Thomas, on the other hand, felt extremely annoyed with her.
He was frustrated that she kept coming closer, but he couldn’t ignore her. After all, she was the daughter of Floyd family, so he had to show her some respect.
However, it was really tiresome to keep up the small talk with her, so he had to find a way to let her stay away from him. As he was thinking about it, he heard someone call out to him, “Mr. Gurney!”
He looked over and saw Azalea who was heavily restricted by the bodyguards. She probably wanted to come over, but the bodyguards did not allow her, so she had to call out to Thomas.
Thomas thought that it was strange for her to show up here.
Azalea was Emily’s niece, and the two elders of the Floyd family hated Emily very much, so if they knew that Azalea was Emily’s niece, they would certainly be very disgusted.
He had to ask Azalea to leave quickly, so he took the opportunity to smile and say to Angel, who was pestering him, “Ms. Floyd, I just saw some acquaintances here, so I’ll be back soon!”
After that, he strode towards Azalea, “What are you doing here?”
“I had nothing to do, so I came out to relax. Who knew I’d see you here!” Azalea lied calmly.
She didn’t come out to relax. Meadow had called and told her that the Floyd family was here. Other than that, Meadow also told her to find a chance to show up in front of them.
Azalea did not know what Meadow meant, but Meadow didn’t want to tell her the reason either and kept on reminding her to get close to the Floyd family for a surprise that was awaiting her.
Azalea thought that she was banished because she had gone to meet her aunt, Emily, after listening to Meadow’s words. Since Meadow said so, there must be a reason. She had nothing to do anyway, so she came over to check out the situation.
She had been following the Floyd family into the tourist spot, but she didn’t have the opportunity to show herself in front of them because of how heavily guarded they were.
When she saw Thomas appear with them in the afternoon, she immediately had an idea.
She had to use Thomas to get closer to the Floyd family.
He frowned and looked at her, “Came out to relax? Then why did you call out to me?”
He implied that they were not familiar with each other, and she knew that he didn’t like her, but she didn’t expect him to be so rude about it, so she said in a miserable tone, “I… I just saw you and wanted to say hello.”
“Now that we’ve greeted each other, can you leave?” He asked expressionlessly.
She gritted her teeth, “Fine, I guess I made a fool out of myself!”
Even though she agreed to leave, she had no intentions on leaving so soon. Seeing Azalea and Thomas talking, Fandrey and Deborah walked over and asked, “Who is this?”
“A friend.” Thomas answered vaguely.
“A friend?” They examined Azalea’s face and thought that she was very beautiful. She bit her lip and looked at Thomas with frustration. Could she be his girlfriend?
Thomas had been working hard ever since he came to the Floyd family’s company, and they had never heard of him having a girlfriend. If this person was really his girlfriend, they could not neglect her.
Deborah smiled and greeted Azalea, “Since you two are friends, come join us.”
William was playing with his phone in his hand and smiled coldly when he heard Deborah’s invitation.
They invited a random outsider to join their outing but said nothing about inviting his own wife. Weren’t Fandrey and Deborah crossing the line for this?
He grew even more displeased since he had left Valeria behind to accompany Fandrey because he had to show some respect to them. However, if they weren’t willing to show Valeria any respect, there was no need for him to stay there any longer.
William glanced at Bobby, and Bobby immediately picked up his phone and sent a message to the bodyguards outside. Soon, a bodyguard came over quickly and said in a very loud and hurried voice, “Mr. Howard, there’s an emergency at home!”
“What urgent matter? Can’t you see that I’m accompanying my grandparents?” William asked with displeasure.
“Well… It’s an emergency! You have to go back right now to avoid any more delays!”
Bobby immediately played along with the bodyguards, “Mr. Howard, the bodyguards wouldn’t dare to look for you unless it’s something urgent. You should go back and take look. Leave this to me! I’ll take care of your grandparents for you!”
Fandrey and Deborah also heard their conversation and said in a considerate voice, “William, you should go back and check it out.”
“Alright then. Grandpa, grandma, I’ll go back and take a look. I’ll come back to keep you company later tonight.” William said apologetically as he instructed Bobby, “Help me take care of them!”
Then, he turned around and strode away as the apologetic expression on his face disappeared instantly.
