They stared at Natasya with confused looks on their faces when she shouted Valeria’s name all of the sudden.
She continued to scream as she imagined that William would suffer from a severe headache and the situation would soon turn into chaos. However, things did not turn out according to her plan.
William did not experience a headache and was still holding Valeria in his arms. He stared at her and a wry smile crept onto his face.
Valeria instantly knew Natasya’s motive upon hearing her continuous scream. She glanced at Natasya and said with a mocking tone, “Stop wasting your effort! It’s useless no matter how hard you scream.”
“What is happening? I am sure that he would suffer from a headache upon hearing your name. Why is it not working?” Natasya asked with a confused look on her face.
Valeria was out of words upon seeing the slow-witted Natasya. The guests were being dismissed and there were only trustworthy members at the scene. She sneered and said, “Natasya, don’t you think that you have underestimated us? Have you assumed that my husband had been poisoned by the blood vermin that was planned by you?”
Natasya was taken aback as she did not expect Valeria to know about the secret of blood vermin.
Valeria continued with a mocking tone, “My heart aches for you to be caught in such a mess! Do you really think that you stand a chance against my intelligent husband? Have you been convinced that he is suffering from amnesia and struggles to remember his past? I shall share a little secret with you. My husband remembers everything clearly and was just putting on an act to gauge how far you would go judging by your shameless behavior.”
“He was faking it all this time? How is that possible? I am sure that he would suffer from a headache whenever hearing your name. I saw it with my own eyes!”
“It is an outdated piece of news. He has recovered from it ever since he reunited with me. It is the power of love that sets him free from your outrageous plot. Are you convinced yet?”
Valeria did not mention a word about William consuming the antidote. Natasya was shocked and questioned, “How could this be? Why is going on?”
“You have thought too highly of yourself, haven’t you? Do you possibly think that you can plot against everyone? Haha! How naive of you! My husband has long known about your ulterior motives and has been keeping a close eye on you. He is aware of all your secrets and it would be a miracle to lure him into your trap. You stand no chance against him!”
“He knows about it all along? I had kept a close eye on him and saw him consuming the coffee. How could the drug be ineffective? Why is he still not under my control?”
“Haha! How could he let you have your way when he is clearly aware of what is going on in your head? Natasya, you will never get what you want! You would soon have a taste of your own medicine in which hell awaits you from now onwards!”
Natasya was eventually gotten rid of by the bodyguards through the doghole. She was feeling defeated by the incident that happened.
She was thrown outside of the villa with a mere piece of old clothing on herself. The bodyguards had also flung her mobile phone and car key out from the property.
Natasya lay on the ground and stared at the sky with a blank look on her face. Flashes had emerged and she then realized that several reports were taking pictures of her.
She collected her thoughts and swiftly grabbed her mobile phone and car key. She stumbled to her car as she wanted to get rid of them as fast as she could.
She crumbled on the steering wheel and whined, “Why? How could this happen? Why did my plan turn out to be unsuccessful? How could I possibly fail when I have put all my efforts into it?”
She could not figure things out and eventually burst into tears.
Hardy had undergone some tests after accompanying Talitha for her maternity check-up. He then brought Talitha back home at night.
Paisley had a displeased look on her face upon seeing Talitha being brought back home by Hardy. She was initially friendly with Talitha to use her as a stepping stone and did not expect that she would eventually become her sister-in-law.
The couple headed straight to Hardy’s room and locked themselves in. Paisley was not in the mood and had also eventually gone back to her room after having a simple dinner.
She laid in bed and took out her mobile phone to browse the news. William’s birthday celebration had become the highlight of the news today.
Paisley was increasingly annoyed upon seeing pieces of news about it. Wasn’t William suffering from amnesia and struggles to remember Valeria? Wouldn’t he suffer from a severe headache upon hearing Valeria’s name?
The photos had showcased that the entire members of the Saunders family had attended his birthday party. Hayden was assumed to have accepted Gavin and Archer and the bond between both Valeria and William remained strong as usual.
Paisley’s effort did not pay off in plotting against them as there were no cracks in the couple’s relationship. She was feeling depressed as she had however obtained a trouble-maker Talitha as her sister-in-law.
She sat on the bed in a sullen mood and browsed the news for a long period of time. She could not control herself and caressed William’s picture from her phone screen upon seeing his handsome face being displayed on the news.
“Am I not good enough for you? Why have we become enemies? I genuinely just want to marry you and spend my entire life with you. I really adore you and I am not interested in your position as the president of Wolf Group. Why are you being so cold-blooded towards me?”
Paisley muttered to herself and was lost in her thoughts.
She needed to stop spiraling further before she would eventually turn mad.
She sighed and walked towards the bathroom. She decided to have a relaxing bath to brighten up her mood but eventually fell asleep.
She only awakened when the water in the bathtub had turned cold. She got up quickly and went out of the bathroom after wrapping herself up in a towel. She lay on the bed and took out her phone once again to browse the news.
She had expected the headlines to continue publishing William’s massive birthday party celebration. However, she unexpectedly got ahold of a scandal about Natasya.
Her scandal had exploded on the internet and was being published extensively. The picture of her doing indecent things with the beggar in the garden was everywhere on the news network.
The news had criticized Natasya for being a shameless and uncultured woman. Paisley felt a chill down her spine upon reading about it.
Paisley knew that it was not the truth despite that she was not a fan of Natasya.
She believed that Natasya would not have done such a thing as they both had the same arrogant attitude.
Natasya always had her eyes on William and it was clear that she had crossed the line.
It was undeniable that William was the mastermind behind this as he finally made a move on Natasya.
Natasya had made a joke out of herself by claiming to get William under control. He knew about her ulterior motives all along and had successfully lured her into the trap.
Her reputation would soon be shattered into pieces. William had sought his revenge on her as payback for laying a finger on him last time. Would William do the same thing towards her then?
Paisley was feeling increasingly anxious as her thoughts spiraled further. She then hurriedly knocked on Hardy’s door.
