William nodded and said, “Yes, she’ll be fine after resting for a bit. You should go back first! Take care!”
“Alright, bye!” She got in her car and left. Michael took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a big puff, “Did you hear what Richard said just now?”
“I’m not deaf!” William replied.

“Nothing’s wrong with you and them. You guys just have different stances from each other!”
Michael took a few more puffs and said defeatedly, “William, can you help me with the antidote?”
“I’m trying to get it. Don’t worry! I’ll update you immediately if there’s any news!” He comforted him.
“I’m so useless! Everyone knows me as this great lawyer of a person, but in reality, I’m so hopeless. I can’t even deal with my family and be with the woman I love!”
His depressed state made William sigh, “What can you change by blaming yourself? It’s not your fault!”
“It is! It’s all my fault!” He laughed bitterly. “You’ve cleared so many obstacles between you and Valeria. While I, on the other hand, am in a much better situation than you, but I haven’t made any progress. I’m so useless!”
“Michael, don’t pressure yourself. You’re different from me! The only obstacle between me and Valeria was my father. But for you, Abbie lost her memories, while your mom arranged a fiance for you and she’s mentally unstable so you can’t afford to trigger her. Richard’s also keeping an eye on you, and Azalea would never easily let you and Abbie be together. Therefore, you are definitely in a worse position than I was!”
His words made Michael throw his cigarette butt away in frustration, “Then what do you think I should do now?”
“You should deal with Azalea first. Break off the marriage your mother arranged, then deal with the other things slowly.”
“I’ve called my mom today. She would definitely disagree with the idea, so she’ll threaten me to give in with her life again. I hate it so much!”
He raised his hand to rub his forehead, “How could I be so stupid as to fool my mom with a fake relationship with Azalea? If it weren’t for her, things would be so much easier!”
“You were indeed stupid for doing that!” William agreed. When Azalea was mentioned, he suddenly remembered her aunt, “Have you met her aunt before?”

“Who is her husband?”
