Michael couldn’t help but feel that something was wrong when he saw William’s fake smile. William coughed dryly and said, “Four cups? I think I’m going to need an antidote if I don’t want to have a crazy hangover tomorrow!”
Michael froze when he heard the word “antidote”. Was William trying to remind him about the antidote for Abbie?
The antidote was in William’s hands. If he offended him, he would not give it to him, so Abbie would never be able to recover!
When Michael thought of this, he let out a hollow laugh, “Stop joking! I know your alcohol tolerance.”
“I’m not joking! I really might need that antidote!” William smiled. Michael smiled awkwardly and said, “We’re brothers, so let’s not act like strangers. One toast is enough! Cheers!”
He picked up his drink and clinked it with William’s. As soon as the two of them finished drinking, Richard looked at them in confusion, “What? Wasn’t William supposed to drink four glasses? Michael, what are you doing?”
“This is none of your business,” William looked at him with a faint smile. Richard frowned and said, “Fine, you can drink one glass with him, but I want you to drink four glasses with me!”
“Michael and I are brothers, so are you and I. Why do I need to toast different amounts for you two? Are you older than me?” William retorted. Richard glared at Michael and reluctantly toasted with William.
Raymond did not make things difficult for William and let him toast with one cup, along with Marcus, Andrew, and Lamont.
William sat down with satisfaction and took some food for Valeria with a smile on his face, “Eat more, darling!”
While carefully picking the fishbones for Valeria, he said to Michael and Richard with a smile, “Both of you have worked hard for me. Today, you two are the VIPs and everyone is family! Marcus, Andrew, and Raymond, you guys shall toast our VIPs in my place! Let them drink their hearts out!”
The three of them were good with alcohol, but Michael and Richard looked at each other in fear.
Richard retorted, “Mr. Saunders is the oldest, so the toast should start from him, then Mr. and Mrs. Saunders, and then it will only be our turn!”
Gavin giggled and said, “William is right. We are all family, so we don’t care about the rules. You and Michael are guests, so we can’t neglect you two. I will toast you first, then Archer, Lamont, and so on.”
When William spoke, he did not include Gavin, Archer, and Lamont, so Richard and Michael were shocked when Gavin included the elders in the toast. The two of them were targetted and would suffer a lot tonight.
William happily watched them on the sidelines as they had continuous toasts of wine.
Suddenly, he saw Braelynn looking at Richard worriedly, and his curiosity was piqued again. He looked at Archer and their eyes met. He had too many assumptions in his head, so he signaled for Archer to leave the room with him.
Archer followed him out, and they went to the lounge next door. After closing the door, William said, “I want to talk to you about Braelynn.”
“Lamont told me about Braelynn, and I was very surprised. I want to ask you what you think about this matter,” Archer nodded and sat down, “William, how about you? What do you think about it?”
William didn’t beat around the bush and went straight to the point, “I’ve always had this question for you in my mind. Have you ever noticed that she looks like you? Especially her eyebrows and eyes.”
Archer nodded, “To be honest, I’ve also noticed it a long time ago, and I know what you mean. If you suspect that she is related to me, I can tell you very clearly that I have never done anything with any woman other than Natalie. Braelynn is not my daughter!”
“Is it possible that…”
Before William could finish his sentence, Archer shook his head and denied, “It’s impossible! Ever since I was schemed by Raelyn and Savannah, I have been very careful. There is no other possibilities, so Braelynn is not my daughter!”
“Is that so?” William thought Braelynn had something to do with Archer, but his firm denial confirmed that they were unrelated.
“I’m relieved that she has nothing to do with you,” William said since he was worried that an illegitimate daughter might cause a break between Archer and Natalie’s loving relationship.
“William, Braelynn’s past is very strange. Lucian took her away, so she must know the truth. We have to ask her in order to find the answer to our questions. However, she’s a very cunning person, so it won’t be easy to get the answer out of her. Therefore, I talked to Natalie about it, and we decided that she will get close to Lucian in order to ask about it.”
“You’re letting her come in contact with Lucian again?” William asked.
“Yes! Natalie was very unhappy when she heard that Lucian plotted against her. She always regarded her as a good person, so she can’t stand her betrayal. That’s why she wants to teach her a lesson.”
William hesitated for a while and said, “Since you two have already made up your minds, let’s go according to your plan. Lucian doesn’t have much power now, so she can’t cause any trouble anyway,”
“There is one thing that I have not told you and my mother-in-law yet because I didn’t want to upset you. However, I’ll tell you about it since she’s going to deal with Lucian soon. Lucian has other thoughts towards her. She is a lesbian.”
“Oh, I see!” Archer gave a wry smile, “Actually, I’ve been suspicious about her behavior for a long time, and I finally understand it after you told me about this.”
“Other than Lucian, Devon also feels that way towards my mother-in-law. They are in the same boat, and they joined forces with the same purpose.”
“How are the Andersons so disgusting?” Archer was stunned, “Then, Raelyn and him…”
“Raelyn deserves it. She was played by them, so she has two daughters. Natasya is Devon’s daughter, while Talitha is Declan’s daughter.”
“This is too much! How shameless of her!” Archer jumped up in anger. While thinking of Raelyn’s viciousness and evilness, he couldn’t help but sneer and said, “I guess this is her retribution for framing me back then!”
“You’re hearing this from me, so I expect that you know what to do. You can tell my mother-in-law about it, but you need to keep it a secret from Gavin. Raelyn has gone crazy, and Devon is not a good person, so I want to deal with them. You have to keep this a secret until I’m done with my plans.”
