Bevan didn’t know who did it. He only knew that Hardy and Talitha’s discreet pictures were all over the place.
The pictures were so many that it was hard to get them taken down entirely.
“Mr. Anthony, there are too many of them. It’s everywhere…”
“Think of a way to get rid of it!” Hardy was so furious that he sprung up and cursed, “Damn it, who on earth did this to me? I’m f*king pissed!”
“I have arranged for someone to take care of it, but it needs some time before it will be under control…”
“Inform our staffs not to work today, but instead, get this thing done right now!” Hardy couldn’t care about anything else at that moment as he knew that information traveled at the speed of light. He decided to acquire their assistance as the scandal couldn’t be covered up. It was also impossible for the employees from Acma Corporation to not know about such big news.
Bevan promised to arrange it accordingly. Hardy sat on the bed as he caught a breather. He was about to go bonkers!
D*mn it! Compared to how he had schemed against William, it was unacceptable for Hardy, who had a good reputation, to be shattered into pieces.
Hardy was more worried that his father would know about it than the mockery of other people. However, Hardy was glad that the scandal did not make it into the list of hot topics. His father, who was currently abroad, would not know what his son had gotten into.
He rubbed his forehead while trying to think of a way to turn the tables.
In the hospital, Valeria got up and measured her blood pressure. She then went back into her ward to have breakfast after running through some trivial tests.
The servant had prepared bird’s nests for her and she enjoyed it while glancing at her cell phone, “Wow, honey! The news of Hardy and Talitha has disappeared on the internet!”
“Don’t worry, there is still more to come,” William said with a smile. The phone then rang and it was from Marcus. “Mr. Howard, Hardy has given his employees a holiday just to clean up his mess. Hahahaha!”
“When was it done?” William asked.
“It was done by the wee hours of the morning yesterday. I reckon that Hardy will be busy until the afternoon. There’s no guarantee that his mess is fully cleaned up,” Marcus said with another burst of laughter.
William grinned and said, “Thank you for your effort. Send those workers triple pay.”
“Alright! By the way, Mr. Howard, tens of thousands of T-shirts were already produced from yesterday’s overtime. As per your instruction, we happen to sponsor a marathon with many participants, and the T-shirts will be worn by them. It will be such a mesmerizing scenery to admire in the afternoon!”
“Well done!” William looked at Valeria, whose eyes were wide and had a smile on her face. He picked up a piece of tissue to wipe the corners of Valeria’s mouth and continued to talk things through with Marcus.
“Upload the discreet photos to the entire world and send them to Hardy’s father! By the way, put up a few more of them near the villa that belongs to the Anthony family.”
“I’ll have it done now!”
“Hubby, that’s not a very nice idea, right?” Valeria looked at William, who was smiling wickedly, and she couldn’t help but also laugh. “What’s going to happen to Hardy? How could we enjoy the show if he suffocates under the scolding of his father?”
“Don’t worry, he is a man who always got his hands dirty. Hardy won’t die so quickly, otherwise, it will not be a fun game for us!”
Seeing William’s cunning expression, Valeria reached out and pinched his face. “Hubby, how can you be as sly as a fox? You’ll make me fall in love with you harder if you keep up with this!”
“Come and give me a kiss if you really love me!” William inched closer, and Valeria proceeded to kiss him several times.
Seeing how affectionate they were, the servant couldn’t help but laugh as well. William was not embarrassed at all and said, “Honey, I’ll be heading out later to Wolf Group and pay a visit to several men who work for my grandfather.”
“Permission granted!” Valeria stood up with a smile and opened a drawer to take out an earplug that Bobby has bought. “Put this on to prevent from getting into trouble.”
William took it and said, “Thank you, my lovely wife!”
At Wolf Group Hotel, Sammuel was overjoyed when he saw William, who had appeared out of the blue. “Sir, you’re back!”
“Yes, I’m here to visit you all. Is everything alright?” William sat down. Silas had sent William a message yesterday saying that Sammuel was worried about him.
“I’m fine, but I’m just concerned about you!” Sammuel glanced at William cautiously. “Have you gotten used to going back home alone?”
William leaned back on the sofa and replied casually, “I’m not used to it, but I’m coping well.”
“How about this? Why don’t you tell Mr. Howard to let us protect you?” Sammuel suggested.
“No need, my dad… Hmm… I don’t think he is a fan of you all.” William pushed the blame onto Hayden.
“But we’re under orders to protect you, aren’t we? If something happens to you, how are we going to explain ourselves to Mr. Howard?” Sammuel asked.
William shook his head and said, “Well… I have no idea as well.”
“What? Mr. Howard won’t refuse as long as you suggest to him that we look after you, right?”
“I really can’t do anything about it. My father likes to appoint his own men and has difficulties in trusting others.”
“We are from the Floyd family and have nothing against you. What’s more, if Mr. Howard’s men were really capable, they wouldn’t have let you got into a mess.” The bodyguard who stood behind William snorted and then continued, “You shouldn’t say that. Back then, Sir William was protected under your watch abroad, but you still messed things up, right? Just so you know, It’s normal to make mistakes sometimes.”
“Hence, we are very careful as we have learned our lesson. My men and I will certainly do our best to protect Sir William and will not repeat our past mistakes again.”
“That’s easy to say. We will go the extra mile to protect him as well,” William’s bodyguard snapped back immediately.
William always had his back for his men. He would have turned a blind eye and enjoyed the show if Sammuel’s target was someone else. However, things were different if William’s men were insulted.
William’s bodyguards had always been loyal to him, so he couldn’t bear to see his men being humiliated.
His gaze changed as he sat up straight and looked at Sammuel. “You’ve been with my grandpa for a while, haven’t you? You should be very familiar with the rules by now. It’s not wise to challenge one, especially on his territory. Besides, you don’t even stand a chance against them.”
Sammuel stared at William in shock. Was he helping Mr. Howard’s men right now? How dare he said that he wasn’t as good as them? Was this a joke?
Sammuel became hot-headed because he couldn’t bear the shame. “I’m curious of how capable Mr. Howard’s men are. How about we have a sparring contest? Whoever wins gets to protect you, what do you think?”
“That sounds fair. I’m cool with it!” The bodyguard who stood behind William answered.
William turned around with a smile, “Bobby, if someone wants to spar with you, will you be interested in it?”
“I’ll do whatever you say, Sir,” Bobby, who had been standing quietly behind William with his head down all the time, walked forward and bowed at Sammuel, “Please go easy on me!”
“Same to you!” Sammuel also bowed back, “This isn’t the best place for a contest. Why don’t we find a more suitable place to spar?”
“No problem. Wolf Group has a gym. Let’s head over there to learn from each other,” Bobby suggested.
