In the hospital, Valeria got up for breakfast while Abbie came to visit her.
She brought a bunch of flowers, oranges, and cherries that Valeria liked. The auntie immediately took over the fruits from Abbie when she came in and handed the flowers to Valeria, “Milady looks much better today. Did something good happen, hm?”
“Yes!” Valeria was excited, “I chatted with my husband until midnight last night.”
Abbie reached out to pinch her face, “So I guess it’s true that people change because of love. Did you tell him that you’re pregnant yet?”
“No, I want to tell him the news as his birthday present, so I’ll wait till then.”
“You’re really patient. If I were you, I wouldn’t have been able to keep it a secret!” Abbie sat down and peeled an orange for her. Valeria took it and finished it in a blink of an eye. Then, Abbie peeled another one, “Valeria, the baby in your belly must be a son!”
“I don’t mind if the child is a son or daughter. William likes daughters too you know!” Valeria smiled happily.
“It’s definitely a son. My mom said that male babies like sour foods. She said that she especially liked sour foods when she was pregnant with my brother,” Abbie said as she reached out to touch Valeria’s stomach, “Little baby, I am your godmother. Be good and listen to your mother and don’t torment her. When you come out, I’ll buy a lot of toys for you to play with.”
When the auntie saw Abbie touching Valeria’s stomach, she immediately stepped forward, “Miss Clark, you can’t touch Miss Brown’s stomach.”

Valeria burst into laughter, “Auntie, it’s okay, don’t worry!”
“Alright, let’s go take a walk,” With the auntie staring at them strictly, Abbie felt too uncomfortable.
“Okay!” Valeria stood up, and the auntie immediately stepped forward. “Miss Brown, I’ll help you.”
“Auntie, I’m fine. I’m really okay! I’m not that weak.”
“I don’t dare to loosen up my care for you. I have already promised sir.” She insisted on helping her up.
Valeria didn’t know how to react and said, “I’m fine. You’re making me feel uncomfortable like this. I want to talk to Abbie in private so you can take a rest first, and please don’t follow me.”
The auntie still followed them to the garden and guarded them outside. Valeria and Abbie walked to the fish pond, and the latter lowered her voice and asked, “Valeria, is the auntie afraid that I will harm you? Why is she guarding you so tightly?”

Valeria suddenly came to the realization, “You’re right! It must be! I have to tell William to be careful.”

When Hardy returned from the hotel, Paisley came out to welcome him, “How was it?”
“She said that they are in William’s grandfather’s house.”

“If they didn’t, do you think she could stay there for so long? What do you think they’re doing? Do they just allow random strangers to stay there?” Hardy was not in a good mood and shoot back questions to her.

“All right, don’t create any troubles now. Let me think about it first,” Hardy said and strode upstairs, while she followed behind him, “Bro, why are you going back to your room? Have breakfast first.”
“I don’t have the appetite. Let me take a shower first. D*mn it, it’s way too disgusting!” He strode back to his room with obvious disgust on his face.
As soon as he pushed open the bathroom door, his phone rang. Hardy picked it up quickly, “Hello!”
“As you ordered, we waited in front of the Floyd family’s gate and we saw the target. We wanna confirm with you before doing anything. So, do we deal with it straight on?”
