Chapter 581 Viciousness

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Natasya’s mood instantly turned sour. She was mad that William had a special affinity for Angel because she was the first person he saw when he woke up.
She was unhappy, but there was nothing she could do. In order to show her generosity, she invited Angel herself.
Angel agreed happily, “I knew William liked me. I can tell from his gaze.”
Natasya felt her anger bubbling up after Angel said that. She was showing off so obnoxiously!
Natasya wanted to spend some time alone with William and be intimate with him, but that was impossible now since Angel was joining them.
The three of them went to the garden together as Angel chattered with William and pushed Natasya aside.
William always showed interest when he talked to Angel, but he did not pay much attention whenever he talked to Natasya, so she felt more uncomfortable as she followed them behind.
She didn’t know that William did not completely lose his memories, but thought that this was due to the drug.
She thought that Devon’s pill was effective, but it was her fault that she missed the best opportunity and she felt very regretful. Had she known earlier, she would have stayed by his side until he woke up.
However, it was no use regretting now. She followed them depressingly all the way to the garden. The Floyd family’s house covered an extremely large area indeed.
The garden was very big, and Angel showed William around while secretly observing Natasya’s expressions.
Was she trying to show them that she was upset? She really thought too highly of herself!
Angel had not yet gotten her revenge for what happened at lunch. How dare Natasya went against her and stole her spotlight? She would deal with her later.
Soon the three of them went to the man-made lake in the garden. Angel proposed, “Cousin, let’s row the boat!”
As William listened to Angel’s nonsense, he was also observing the situation in secret. Natasya was trying her best to suppress her distress, while Angel looked like she was going to do something.
He didn’t believe that Angel wouldn’t do anything after what happened at lunch. She must have been itching for revenge, so he nodded and said, “Okay!”
After agreeing, Angel looked at Natasya who was behind her with a reluctant look, “Together?”
Natasya was flattered, “Sure!”
Angel would not row the boat herself, so she called for a servant to come over. The three of them and the servant then went onto the boat in the man-made lake. After William sat down, Angel sat beside him, separating him from Natasya.
When they reached the centre of the lake, Angel said to William enthusiastically, “William, there’s a lot of fish in the lake.”
She gestured with her hands, “The last time I came here, I saw a fish with a head this big.”
As she gestured with her hands, she accidentally hit Natasya’s eyes and she screamed in pain, “Ouch!”
“Gosh! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean it!” Angel apologized, “Let me help you!”
As she spoke, she leaned towards Natasya and gave her a hard push. Natasya did not expect that as her eyes were closed due to the pain, so she fell into the lake.
After she fell in, a smug little smile flashed across Angel’s face, and she ordered the servant, “Hurry up! Save her!”
The servant immediately jumped down and looked like he was going to save her, but instead, he held her head down to let her drink a few mouthfuls of water.
William squinted at Natasya who was struggling in the water and looked at Angel who acted like she was panicking. Hmm, well this was interesting indeed.
He could tell that Angel was not an easygoing person, but he didn’t expect her to be so malicious.
Getting revenge for the smallest misdoings was not a bad thing. After all, accepting insults and humiliation had never been William’s thing. However, anyone who took advantage of their status to take revenge on others was surely not a kind person.
It seemed like he had underestimated this younger cousin of his, and he thought that this wouldn’t satisfy Angel’s thirst for revenge, so he guessed that she still had something in store for Natasya.
As he was thinking about it, Natasya had been rescued. Even after she was pushed into the lake and was completely drenched, she could not accuse Angel nor accuse the servants of attempting to kill her.
She was very angry and hateful. Nevertheless, she suppressed the hatred in her heart and went back to her room to wash up.
Deborah, who was in the living room was startled when she saw Natasya came back drenched, “What happened?”
“We were on the boat in the lake, and Natasya accidentally fell,” Angel answered.
“I see! Go upstairs quickly and take a bath. Don’t catch a cold,” She didn’t think too much of it and felt a little sorry for Natasya.
Natasya suppressed her anger and went back to her room. She hurried to the bathroom to take off her wet clothes and turned on the shower to test the water temperature. She then screamed in pain.
The temperature was at least 100 degrees Celsius! It burnt her fingers, causing them to blister instantly.
She was shocked and infuriated obviously. It was clear that someone had done something to the water and needless to say, Angel was behind this.
She didn’t expect her to be so hostile towards her, but Natasya could do nothing about it.
If she went out saying that something was wrong with the water, no one would suspect Angel. Moreover, she had no evidence to accuse her. Since it was useless to do anything, she could only swallow her anger.
She had underestimated Angel and it was true that the strong would trample on the weak, not to mention that she was in someone else’s house now.
She held back her anger and filled up the bathtub for her shower. Her fingers hurt badly, and she had never been humiliated like this.
Following that, Natasya came out to put on her clothes while biting on her lips. She sat at the dressing table and prepared to tidy herself up when she unexpectedly sat on something that pricked her painfully.
The excruciating pain made her howl in pain.
A servant immediately came in to check on her after hearing her scream.
As she was in extreme pain, she could only point at her buttocks where her pain was. The Floyd family was also shocked by this situation. Deborah immediately ordered the driver to send Natasya to the hospital, and they found a needle in her buttocks.
William was shocked when he heard about the situation. He thought that Angel would only have small revenge on Natasya, so he didn’t expect it to be to this extent!
She was so cunning and vicious. Was she naturally like this, or was it because of her upbringing?
Although his Uncle Callum treated him neutrally with a straight face, William did not think that he was a vicious person because he would act nice and smiled at him if he was evil.
Meanwhile, Aunt Veronica looked kind and gentle, the complete opposite of an evil person. So, who did Angel get her traits from?!
