Gavin was told about what happened by the bodyguards and he sighed when he saw Natalie coming back home.
“Hayden is very stubborn and he is already at his limits by accepting Valeria. William left this world to save Valeria and Hayden will definitely deal with us if she is not pregnant. So now, no matter what he says, bear with it.”
“I know. I didn’t take it to heart,” Natalie replied.
“You can rest assure that Hayden will take care of her well. I’ll discuss about this incident with Archer and we’ll settle it according to Hayden’s wishes. I’ll make them pay for going against the Saunders family.”
Natalie nodded, “Dad, if… if the one who hurt Valeria is one of your closest relatives, will you forgive that person?”
“Of course!” He nodded. He only had a son and a daughter. Was Natalie suspecting Raelyn?
He knew that Raelyn didn’t like Natalie, but it was impossible for him to treat Valeria and William like that.
Gavin didn’t believe that Raelyn would be so frantic, so he felt that Natalie’s suspicion was ridiculous.
He was getting old and he wanted his family to be in harmony. He did not want to see the Saunders family being suspicious against one another, so he said in a serious tone.
“But I need evidence! You can’t just blindly accuse people!”
“Okay, I’ll find the evidence!”
Not only did they harm her, but they also harmed her daughter and her son-in-law. It was unbearable. She had to find out who was behind this.
In New York, after Deborah made a scene while hugging William, he fell asleep due to exhaustion.
He had been unconscious for such a long time and hadn’t eaten or drunk anything. He was only coping with parenteral nutrition, so his body was very weak.
Deborah was very happy when saw her only grandchild. She immediately ordered her servants to prepare some food while she stayed in the ward.
Fandrey had been keeping the news of William’s being sent to New York for medical treatment a secret from her. She just found out today, so there were still many things that she did not know.
Seeing Natasya in the ward, she asked curiously, “Who are you?”
“My name is Natasya, and I’m William’s friend.” She answered respectfully.
She had been staying by his side for so many days from a local hospital to the one abroad. Needless to say, she was not just a simple friend.
Deborah looked at her and realized that she was quite beautiful and had a good temperament, but something was lacking in Natasya to be her grandson’s girlfriend.
Deborah continued looking at her and finally realized that Natasya was not good-looking enough to be William’s girlfriend as William was very charming.
Deborah was a person who paid great attention to appearance and felt that this was a pity. William was very handsome and he could have a girlfriend that was much more beautiful.
However, not many people were as charming as William, so she kept these thoughts in her heart.
She asked Natasya a few questions about her family and studies. Her expression stayed the same when she found out that her father was the head of Ruthorham and her mother was the eldest daughter of the Saunders family.
However, she seemed to be more interested in Natasya’s studies. Natasya was a talented woman who studied in one of the best colleges, and this made her think highly of her.
William was known for being ignorant and incompetent. A knowledgeable and talented woman would compliment him, but would he be set up by the same woman in the future?
Deborah started to worry again. She felt that William who was ignorant and incompetent, should not find someone who was too smart, or else he would be taken advantage of.
No matter how much she thought about it, Natasya was not suitable for William. Oh well, now was not the time to worry about his girlfriend since he could always break up with her and find a more suitable person as they were not married yet. Instead of overthinking about this, she decided to worry about William’s health.
Deborah was physically capable, so she volunteered to personally take care of her grandson.
Therefore, she stayed in the ward to take care of him.
Natasya was astonished when Deborah decided to stay back to take care of William.
She had observed William carefully when he woke up just now. He did not have the slightest bit of disgust towards her.
If William had kept his memories, he would have hated her, so this meant that the medicine’s effects were working.
Natasya was quite confident about her abilities. As long as she could stay behind to take care of William, she would definitely make him fall in love with her with the drug’s effects together with her skills.
While she was happily planning a way to foster a relationship with William, Deborah unexpectedly announced that she would also stay behind to take care of him.
With Deborah around, it would be equivalent to hundreds of third-wheelers around her and William. How could she cultivate a relationship with him like that?
So, even if she wasn’t happy about it, she couldn’t show it out openly. Currently, the only thing Natasya could do was to please Deborah first, and hopefully, she would like her. Then, she would become an ally of their relationship.
William had woken up after three hours. The vegetable porridge that Deborah ordered the servants to prepare was also ready.
Deborah fed him personally. Even though he didn’t like to be served like this, she was his grandmother after all, and he was touched by her affection.
After eating a bowl of porridge, he felt much better.
Natasya was observing William’s reactions while Deborah fed him porridge.
His expression didn’t change much, and he remained expressionless as Deborah talked to him.
As Natasya was observing him, he was doing the same to her. He had been wondering why she was here, and he found it odd when he noticed her unnatural expression and evasive eyes.
Since he found it strange, he had to figure it out. He looked at Natasya and asked, “Who is she?”
“Natasya? Have you forgotten that she’s your girlfriend?” Deborah asked in astonishment.
His heart was in turmoil, but his expression did not change. He looked blankly at her and said, “I don’t remember.”
“Huh? What’s going on? Why don’t you remember her? Did you hurt your brain? How could this be?” She asked anxiously.
“I don’t know. I don’t remember anything. I just feel that you are very kind. Are you really my grandma?”
“Yes, of course, I am!”
After hearing William say that he couldn’t remember anything, Natasya let out a sigh of relief.
It was good that he couldn’t remember!
After he claimed to have forgotten everything, Deborah started telling him what had happened, and Natasya chimed in bits of the story too.
He finally understood why he was lying here after they explained it to him.
He had been plotted!
Moreover, he was plotted in his home country and had been unconscious for many days.
However, the main point was that his memories did not match up with the timing.
