Chapter 561 Cunning Fox

By listening to the voices, she was still in the car. There were three men with her, and all speaking in foreign accents that Valeria couldn’t understand.
She was worried because she couldn’t understand their conversation.
Who were these people? Why did they kidnap her?
Was this for money? Or for revenge?
She had not offended anyone else, and the only people who hated her were Raelyn’s family and Paisley.
Were they behind this?
What did they want to achieve by kidnapping her?
She wondered if William knew that she had been kidnapped. If he did, he would immediately arrange for people to save her.
At the thought of him, she felt a little relieved. Later, one of the three men’s phone rang, he answered the phone but did not speak in his mother language. He was speaking English, “We are in the underground parking lot of the International Trading Center. Okay, I’ll send the location to you, we’ll wait for you here!”
International Trading Center? So, she was currently downtown?
How bold of them to bring her here.
The car was tightly locked, so she couldn’t get out of the car, and she didn’t have a cell phone in hand. Naturally, she couldn’t call the police.
She thought about calling for help, but she quickly dismissed such a thought since she was in an underground parking lot. These people had medicine in their hands. As long as she made a sound, they would put her in a coma again. She could only wait for an opportunity.
After hanging up the phone, the car stopped, and the three people waited, continuing to chat with each other.
After a while, someone came over. The door was opened, and one of them got out of the car. Valeria understood what the man said. “Let her eat this and she won’t be able to go out today. The higher-ups said if she can’t go out, then let her stay in the city.”
“Stay in the city? Where should we put her?”
“Just find a random place. You guys are the ones who took on the job. I know you can manage things well when getting paid.”
The man didn’t stay any longer and left. As the three people in the car mumbled a few words, they must be discussing where to hide her.
Someone came over to open Valeria’s mouth and put a pill inside.
They were in a van, and she was lying in the backseat. There was a person guarding by her side, and the other two people sat in the front seats.
She kept her eyes closed and remained motionless. After the guard put the pill into her mouth, he realized that the pill would not swallow on its own, so he went to get water.
The underground parking lot was dimly lit. While he was getting water, she spitted out the pill quickly. The man leaned over and poured water into her mouth. After he was done, he sat back in relief.
After the engine started, they left the underground parking lot. Valeria continued to keep her eyes closed, but she was getting more anxious.
She didn’t know how long she had been in a coma, and thought that it shouldn’t have been too long. She went to the mountain after telling Natalie and Braelynn, so they must have found out by now.
If that was the case, why hadn’t there been any movement from William’s men?
Valeria did not understand what they said, nor did she understand what they were thinking. She only knew that this was not a simple case of kidnapping. These people must have an ulterior motive.
Since William’s men had yet to find her, something must have happened.
She could not expect to be rescued, so she had to find her own way out.
The car continued to move forward, and the three men had to find a way to settle her down.
They were getting paid, and they were not the ones who did the kidnapping, it was someone else.
When they accepted the mission, the other party only asked them to send the person out of the city, and they would pick her up at a designated location. Now that they could not get out of the city, they could only find a place to settle her down.
They certainly could not go to hotels, and they were not locals, so there was no house to stay in. They had agreed to finish the mission after they sent her out of the city, however that was not possible anymore.
They discussed for a while and immediately came up with a wonderful idea. Since the most dangerous place was the safest, it was better to take her back to the foot of the mountain, where there were a lot of farmhouses, making it convenient for them to hide her.
Later on, they would feed her some medicine to make her stay unconscious the whole time. Then, they would wait there and take care of her. After two days, they would take her out of the city.
Bobby took his people around and searched for a specific license plate, but the other party was a cunning fox that arranged six identical cars as cover-ups on the way.
Chasing one car was different from chasing six cars. At last, all six of the cars were found, but Valeria was nowhere in them.
Bobby’s heart was torn with anxiety. At this time, he received the news that William had fallen into the river along with his car. He was dumbfounded.
The person who informed him was Richard, “We are arranging people to look for him. Even if there is a glimmer of hope, we will not let it go. William has always been lucky and will be fine. Your main focus now is to find Valeria.”
Bobby didn’t believe that something was going to happen to William. Even when he was young, he had been able to survive after being tied up by a rock and sank into the bottom of the lake. This time, he would be able to survive again.
Richard was right. Valeria was William’s life. He had to find her in order to face William when he came back. Otherwise, it was hard to say what would happen if William came back.
Bobby rubbed his forehead. If William was here, he would analyze the situation with him and order him what to do next. Now that he was alone, he had to figure it out on his own.
Since all the roads going out of the city had been blocked, Valeria must still be in the city.
The most dangerous place was the safest one. Would these people bring her back to the foot of the mountain where the incident occurred?
This idea made him immediately lead his men to turn around and go straight to the foot of the mountain where it all started.
At the foot of the mountain, less than five kilometers away from the location of Valeria’s kidnapping, a blue van appeared in Bobby’s sight.
The van had its curtains drawn so he could not see inside, but Bobby could clearly see who was driving and sitting in the passenger seat.
The two men were people he had seen before. He frowned upon seeing them.
They must be doing something shady with the curtains drawn.
What on earth was behind the car?
While he was thinking, he suddenly saw a blurry word traced on the window that said, “Help!”
Inside the van, it was cold because of the air conditioning, causing the window to fog up. The man guarding Valeria didn’t take her seriously when he saw her sleeping, so he picked up his mobile phone to play games.
She took this opportunity to secretly write the word ‘help’ on the window behind the curtain.
She hoped that passersby would see it and call the police, but she didn’t have too much hope either.
Not long after she wrote it, she heard a bang.
The car shook violently, and the sharp braking sound hurt their eardrums.
The car came to a stop.
