Chapter 555 Fell Down the Hill

William’s expression did not change, “A blind date? Sure, but I have some conditions.”
“What’s that? If it’s impossible and tricky, then you don’t have to mention it because I won’t agree to it,” Hayden did not want to compromise so easily.
“No, it’s not impossible or tricky. It’s very simple… My wife must be beautiful, so I only have one condition. The person you pick must be better-looking than Valeria. As long as you can satisfy this condition, I will go and have a look.”
Hayden had thought that he would come up with some tricky conditions, so he didn’t expect it to be so simple. However, after thinking about it carefully, he realized that it wasn’t simple at all!
Valeria’s beauty was unmatched, so there was no way he could find someone who was better looking than her. Hayden glared at him angrily, “Are you kidding?”
“What do you think? I can’t be with a woman with lower standards, right? If I go on a blind date with a woman who is not as good as Valeria, wouldn’t the Saunders family laugh their heads off?”
He said confidently, “I was the one who broke up with Valeria, so I have to find someone prettier than her. Otherwise, it’d be embarrassing for me.”
There was no way to reason with this. Hayden laughed coldly. “Alright then, I’ll arrange for someone to release the news. I don’t believe that there’s no one who’s prettier than Valeria.”
William rubbed his eyes and yawned. “I’m a little tired, so I’ll rest for a bit first. Dad, why don’t you rest too? You’re probably tired from staring at me all day.”
Without waiting for Hayden’s reply, he laid down on the couch and closed his eyes to rest.
Hayden looked at his handsome face and let out a sigh. Then, he laid down on the bed too.
Natasya, with her hands wrapped in gauze, went to Gavin’s house at noon. She brought a lot of his favorite fruits and cakes. When she arrived at the door, she shouted for the servants.
Raymond heard her voice and came down. When he saw her, he smiled brightly and said, “You’re here.”
“Yep! Raymond, where is grandpa?”
“He went out. You brought so much of his favorite food to see him! I’m sure he’ll be very happy to see it,” He smiled as he helped him bring the fruits and cakes into the house.
“Is that so? I’ll be happy if he’s happy, but why isn’t he at home? Where’s he?” She actually knew that he went out before she came over, however, she intentionally put on an act to ask Raymond.
“He probably has something to do in the branch office. He’ll probably come back in the evening.”
They entered the living room while talking. Since Gavin was not at home, Natasya did not intend to stay, “Raymond, let’s go out for lunch. It’s my treat and I’ll invite Valeria too.”
“She won’t come over, will she? She was angry with me because of what happened yesterday. I called her but she didn’t pick up.”
“Is that so? I’m probably the one she’s mad at since it’s all my fault. Raymond, you won’t blame me, will you?”
“No, of course not! You’re not at fault. It’s her problem as she is narrow-minded and spoiled.”
Hearing him say that about Valeria made her smile harder, “Let’s stop talking about this. Let’s go! I’ll treat you to a feast. Talitha told me that a new resort has opened in the western suburb. She said that it’s a five-star resort on the water. The environment and service are both top-tier. Let’s go and have a look.”
“Okay!” He did not refuse and went out with her.
Raymond was the driver for the day and drove to their destination. On the way, Natasya kept on chatting with him. She was very observant and only sweet-talked him. The two of them laughed and talked all the way till they reached their destination.
The environment in the restaurant was indeed very nice. Raymond was in a good mood as he had lunch with Natasya. Later on, her phone rang. After she picked up the phone and said a few words, her face changed.
He looked at her and asked, “What happened?”
“Talitha had an accident when she went mountain-climbing with her friends. I have to go and have a look right away.”
“What accident?” He was also anxious when he heard this. “I don’t know. It was Paisley who called. She said that she fell from the mountain on her way up.”
“She fell? Is it serious? Let’s go and have a look.” Raymond, who was a good Samaritan, immediately stood up as soon as he heard the story.
They left the restaurant in a hurry and went straight out of the city. Along the way, Natasya anxiously murmured, “I hope she’s okay. Raymond, you should drive faster! Hurry!”
He stepped on the gas to speed up, and they soon arrived at the place where Talitha climbed the mountain.
The car came to a stop, and they hurried up the mountain. Natasya was calling while walking, “Has she been found? Still searching? What should we do now?!”
After hanging up the phone, she looked as if she was going to cry, “Raymond, nothing will happen to Talitha, right?”
“I don’t think so. Don’t worry.” He comforted her.
“They haven’t found her yet. Is something wrong? The more I think about it, the more frightened I get.” There were tears in her eyes, “If my mother knew, she would be worried to death.”
“It will be fine. Let’s go up and have a look,” He comforted her to climb up together with her. When they were halfway up the mountain, several men came down in a hurry. When they brushed past them, a man suddenly slipped and bumped into Raymond.
The man fell hard, so Raymond was knocked over and slipped down.
Natasya reached out her hand and cried in surprise, “Raymond!”
He rolled down the mountain out of control, and all he could hear was Natasya’s screams. Suddenly, he hit his head on something and passed out due to the pain.
In the Brownard Group, Valeria was sitting in the office reading the proposal. Her phone rang, and she picked it up. Natasya’s voice rang in a panic. “Valeria, bad news! Raymond fell from the mountain!”
“What?” She was shocked.
“He missed a step and rolled down the mountain. Come here quickly, boohoo…  It’s so high and dangerous here. It would be bad if something happens!”
“What’s going on? How did that happen out of a sudden?” She asked.
“We went to find Talitha… The road was slippery when we went up the mountain, and some people were coming down from the mountain and knocked him over… Boohoo… I am so afraid… it’s all my fault… Boohoo…” Natasya cried.
Although Valeria was not happy with what Raymond had done, this was urgent. She did not dare to delay, so she immediately stood up and said, “I’ll go there right away!”
Natasya cried, “Valeria, can you call grandpa and your father? I can’t get through to them… Oh… I’ve already called the police… I’m so scared now… It’s my fault if something happens to him… What should I do?”
