Lucian mocked her as she said, “Do you think that you’re better than her? Tonight is all about President Garcia and Ms. Brown, so there’s no place for you. I would behave myself if I were you. No one would take you seriously as you were out of the picture since long ago.”
Raelyn did not have to show any mercy as there were no outsiders nearby, so she snapped back, “I am still the eldest daughter of the Saunders family. Even if I’m married, I’m still a Saunders, and not to mention that I’m the one and only Mrs. Anderson! Who do you think you are? You’re a nobody, a pet that was abandoned by your master. You know what, just apologize to me, and I’ll forgive you as I have a big heart. If you don’t want to, then you do know what I’m capable of, right?”
“Oh, I’m so afraid!” Lucian said sarcastically as she shrugged her shoulders and continued, “Raelyn, I’m well aware of those dirty tricks of yours. Bring it on, then? Let’s see if the Saunders family, or your beloved husband, who is merely a secretary, will have your back. Don’t you know your place? Did you idiotically think that you can still hold your head up high after sleeping with both the Anderson brothers?”
“Excuse me? I’ll rip that mouth of yours off!” Raelyn, whose eyes were blazing with anger, was furious as she was deliberately insulted by Lucian in front of Natasya.
“I’m not afraid of you. In fact, you’re the one that should be afraid. Have you forgotten about how you seduced Devon? Do you want me to tell your daughter what you did back then and let her know how shameless you are?”
As Lucian knew her secrets, Raelyn couldn’t retort her as she had thought that no one knew about what she did in the past. What’s more that she hadn’t expected Lucian to just blurt it out in front of Natasya like that.
Did Lucian only know about the tip of the iceberg, or did she know about everything? If Lucian really did know all about what she had done, Raelyn was screwed.
It did not feel good to have the opposing party grasping her cards. However, Raelyn suppressed her anger and left quickly with Natasya.
Natasya did not say a word when Raelyn and Lucian argued, and only spoke when Lucian was out of their sight, “Who was that woman?”
“Natalie’s former assistant, a shameless and deceitful b*tch!” Raelyn cursed outrageously.
“Was she my dad’s first love? That’s her?” Natasya frowned and continued, “Why did he fall in love with a woman like her back then?”
“Alright, let’s stop talking about her,” Raelyn interrupted Natasya abruptly.
Natasya glanced at Raelyn, who was bursting with resentment, and instantly knew that Raelyn was a ticking bomb. Hence, she stopped asking obediently.
Meanwhile, in the Howard family mansion, Hayden had locked himself in the study room. He was listening to music on the gramophone and drinking sullenly.
Everyone knew that Archer had gone all out to organize the party for Valeria and Natalie, and Hayden knew it very well himself too.
The Saunders family did not keep him out of the loop as the invitation was sent to him personally by Arthur, Gavin’s most trusted servant. However, Hayden was furious when he received the invitation from the Saunders family.
Hayden did not show up. It was because he felt Gavin had intended to deliberately show off that he had gotten the better end of the deal.
Hayden knew that speculations of the Howard and Saunders family’s relationship would arise if he did not attend the event, and by then, it would be troublesome for the Saunders family.
However, Hayden did not expect that Andrew insisted on attending the party despite his objections.
This made Hayden furious but there was nothing he could do, so he could only drink stay here and his wine depressingly, but his mood seemed to worsen as time goes by.
Hayden had received the video from Savannah committing suicide long ago, but because he wasn’t in the mood, he hadn’t checked it yet and had left his phone in the bedroom.
He was clueless until Lucas saw the video circulating on the internet and came to Hayden hurriedly, “Sir, bad news. Savannah is trying to take her life. Please have a look at this video.”
Hayden was shocked as he watched Savannah bidding farewell to him in the video. Then, he immediately dialed Savannah’s number, but it did not get through, so Hayden panicked and called Charles instead.
Charles had no idea about Savannah committing suicide as he was in bed with Ashley. When he received the news from Hayden, he was shocked, “I’ll arrange my men to check on her.”
It was a matter between life and death, so Hayden did not dare delay and proceeded to call William and Andrew.
William responded calmly, “How could a shameless woman like her commit suicide? That’s impossible!”
“Stop being sarcastic now, you jerk! Come back immediately and help me out. If anything happens to her, you will be in trouble.”
“What does this have to do with me?” William asked impatiently.
“What are you saying? You turned your back against her and made her get forced out of the Saunders family, not forgetting that you tried to strain my relationship with her. She had no choice but to take her own life! How could you not feel guilty? I can’t believe I raised a cold-blooded brat like you!”
William furrowed his brows as Hayden scolded him, “Alright, stop it. I’ll arrange for someone to look for her.”
“I don’t want you to arrange for someone to look for her, I want you back here immediately! I will disregard you as my son if you don’t get your a*s back home right now.”
William knew that Hayden had lost it, so he had no choice but to give in, “Alright, I’ll come home right away.”
However, William did not move an inch after he hung up the phone. Valeria heard their conversation and sighed, “Honey, you should head back home.”
“I don’t feel like going back.”
“Your dad will be mad if you don’t.”
“Sir Hayden must be pissed right now. He even threatened you. You should go over, even if it meant that you would have to put on an act,” Michael and Richard persuaded him as well.
“No. I’ll go after the party end.”
“What are you brewing in that pot of yours?” Richard and Michael sensed that something was up.
William took a sip of wine and replied, “Something interesting is about to happen.”
“Stop beating around the bush. Spill the beans now,” Valeria’s eyes lit up.
“I have no idea as well, because it all depends on Raelyn. She is the director, producer and the entire team of the drama.”
“Raelyn? Who is she getting her hands dirty on?” Valeria asked.
Braelynn took the lead and asked, “Is she setting my mother up?”
A rush of anxiety flashed across Braelynn’s face as William remained silent.
Braelynn knew that Lucian was not easy to deal with and that she must have done something to Natalie. Lamont had also warned her several times to be cautious around Lucian. She knew that Lucian was not innocent but she couldn’t help but care about her.
After all, Lucian had raised her since young, so she could not just sit back when she knew that Raelyn was going to make a move on Lucian, “I have to warn my mother.”
William did not stop her as she stood up to look for Lucian with Richard following her behind.
