Savannah’s eyes widened as she looked at Raelyn. “Using death to clear my name? Are you kidding me?”
“I’m not asking you to die. All you need to do is record a video and say that William schemed against you and Ronald, along with my brother and dad in order to be with Valeria. And that they forced you to leave the Saunders family. Then, William continued to make things difficult for you by accusing you of killing his mom. In order to do so, he secretly tweaked the test results of the supplements to prove you guilty. You were framed and having to serve Ronald everyday was a living hell. So, you can only die to prove your innocence.”
Raelyn took a deep breath before she continued, “After you record the video, you’ll send it to your dad. He would definitely not ignore it when he knows that you’re going to commit suicide, so, he’ll definitely come looking for you. You would have to prepare the drug beforehand and wait for his arrival. Then, you’ll take the drug in front of him, making him believe that you are serious about dying. Of course, he will not just let you die like that, so he’ll send you to a hospital immediately. You will just need to endure the drug before you get proper treatment, and then you’ll be fine.”
After listening to her words, Savannah did not agree immediately, “What if something goes wrong?”
“Nothing will happen as I’ll always keep an eye on you.”
“I think I would need to discuss this with my brother…” Savannah was still a little worried. Right now, the only person she could trust was Charles.
“You can’t do that. It’s better if fewer people know about this. Your dad is cunning himself. If you tell your brother about this and he knows that you are just pretending, Hayden might see through all your act if you two aren’t careful. Instead, you should make your brother believe that you really do want to commit suicide. By then, everyone would believe you.”
Raelyn couldn’t let Savannah tell anything to Charles, so she did her best to stop her.
“I’m telling you, Savannah, this is your last chance. This is the only way to force your dad to go against my brother and dad, and only then will he fall out with William too. And you and Charles would still have a chance. Otherwise, if William digs deeper, you should know what will become of you, right?”
Savannah was anxious after hearing Raelyn’s threat because she knew how many vicious things she had done. Hayden might forgive her in other matters, but his wife’s death was an exception as it had always been the most painful for him.
If he were to know that Savannah had colluded with other people to kill his wife, he would never let it slide. Since there was no other way, she might as well follow Raelyn’s plan as it was her only chance of survival.
When Raelyn saw that Savannah had started to loosen up, she added, “You’re already in such terrible state now anyway, so why don’t you give it a go? As long as you succeed and your dad is willing to help you, you don’t have to be threatened by that disgusting Ronald anymore, right?”
Soon, when Raelyn left Charles’ villa, her steps were light as her plan had gone well. She had tried her best to persuade Savannah for two hours, and in the end, Savannah had finally agreed to her suggestion.
Half of her plan was successfully carried out after having Savannah’s agreement, and the next thing she had to do was to continue setting up the rest.
She went back to her hotel in a good mood, and after taking a shower, she went to Talitha’s room to see her. However, the door to her room could not be opened.
Then, she called Talitha’s phone, but no one answered, which made Raelyn started to worry by this point. Talitha had told her that she would be out with Raymond tonight, so she should still be with him now. When Raelyn was about to call Raymond to ask about it, Gavin’s call came through instead. “Talitha is injured. She’s in the hospital now. Come and have a look!”
“How did she get hurt?” Raelyn was stunned at the sudden news. She had been so excited about her plans, but she was instantly drained of any joy now.
“She and Abbie got into a fight. Come over first and we’ll talk about it.”
Raelyn could do nothing as he refused to explain further, so after hanging up the phone, she told the bodyguards, “Quick, Talitha is injured. Bring me to the hospital now!”
Meanwhile, Hardy didn’t return home until it was already late at night. After hearing the sound of his car outside, Paisley quickly put on a cardigan and opened the door, then went downstairs in a hurry to find that Hardy was stumbling into the living room, obviously drunk.
As she saw this, she quickly went forward to support him. “Hardy, why did you get so drunk?”
“Do you think it’s that easy to run a business? It isn’t up to me to decide! I can’t refuse my clients’ toasts, can I?” Hardy muttered and massaged his head as he plopped down onto the sofa. “Why aren’t you asleep? Were you waiting for me?”
“Yes. I discussed something important with Raelyn this evening, and I wanted to share it with you!” Then, Paisley told him every single detail of what she discussed with Raelyn giddily.
After she finished, Hardy frowned. “I helped Raelyn because I wanted to embarrass William, and it’s her own business if she wants to kill Savannah. But why are you teaming up with her to get revenge on Valeria?”
Seeing his reaction, Paisley retorted unpleasantly, “Hardy, why can’t you just get over Valeria already? I’m not getting revenge on Valeria, but I’m doing this to ruin William instead! William and Valeria are practically inseparable right now, so dealing with one of them meant ruining the other too. Are you still hoping that William would dump her and that she would pay some attention to you? In your dreams, Hardy!”
“Yes, you’re right, but aren’t you too? Aren’t you doing all this for William?”
“Yes, I’m doing this for him! Hardy, I’ve already planned this through. As long as William and Valeria are together, both of us don’t stand a chance. Thus, we should be cruel. If we frame Valeria and saying that she was behind Savannah’s death, Hayden would never allow her to be with William. So, by then, we’ll have a shot, right?”
“Hah! What makes you think that William would fall in love with you easily?” Hardy asked.
“Raelyn told me that she has a drug that can erase a person’s memory. If William takes the drug, then he would lose his memory of everything, including Valeria. Then, I would be the only woman in his life.” Paisley did not hide anything from Hardy.
“Is there such a drug? Did Raelyn make that up to trick you?”
“No, she was the one who suggested this plan in the first place. Weren’t Declan and her famous for their evil schemes? She really does have that kind of drug. I’ll take it from her and give you some. You’ll just have to let Valeria consume it, and we’ll be able to achieve what we want easily.”
However, Hardy didn’t believe her words. If such a powerful drug existed just as Raelyn had said, there must be side effects to it, or it would need something else to support it for it to work. It would definitely not be as simple as what she had claimed, as Raelyn was in deep water herself too.
Back then, he had helped Raelyn because of his own selfish motives. He wanted to ruin William so that he would be left with nothing, and it would eventually separate him from Valeria.
Paisley was right, though. He would only have a chance to be with Valeria if they were separated. However, if he agreed to Paisley’s plan, it would mean that he would definitely be hurting Valeria and Natalie. If Valeria were to know about the truth one day, she would never want to be with him and he would lose her completely.
Paisley was willing to do anything she could for William, but he, on the other hand, didn’t want to go this far as it wouldn’t do him any good.
