Paisley went to look for Hayden. These few days, Hayden was busy working in Howard Group as he was preparing to get rid of Charles and promote Andrew.
After arriving at the Howard Group, she went straight to his office. When she reached the door, she heard Hayden’s unhappy complaints, “If so, we’ll postpone the meeting and only talk about it when he recovers.”
The conversation ended after she knocked on the door a few times. Then, she opened the door and went in after Hayden’s permission.
Hayden smiled when he saw Paisley entering his office. “Paisley, you’re here!”
“Yes! I have something to tell you.”
Hayden glanced at Lucas, and the latter immediately understood him. “I need to help Sir Andrew with some problems, so I won’t disturb both of you anymore.”
Then, Lucas left and closed the door. After that, Hayden looked at her with a pleasant smile. “What’s up?”
“It’s about Mason. I just saw him meeting Valeria and leaving with Lamont.”
However, Hayden’s expression didn’t change when he heard so. “Is that so? Do you think that this incident is a bit fishy?”
“Yes, Elizabeth was seriously injured in a car accident and was hospitalized last night. However, Mason didn’t go to the hospital but went missing instead. It’s strange, isn’t it?”
“You’re right!” Hayden nodded. After all, he knew Charles and Savannah too well.
When he heard about Elizabeth’s car crash, he thought it was an accident. However, he knew the reason behind it after Paisley reminded him. This car accident must have been related to Charles and Savannah!
“I’m not going to hide the truth anymore, grandpa. Please ignore my rudeness if I offend you.”
“Go ahead. I’m listening.”
“I heard that Natalie’s death was suspicious. Elizabeth seemed to have known about it and told Mason about it. After her accident, Mason is the only one who knows about the truth, so Valeria might want to take advantage of him.”
“I see!” Hayden still smiled. “I got it! You’ve worked hard!”
“It’s nothing! You’re so kind to me, and I’ve always treated you as my family, so I’ll inform you as soon as possible if there’s any news.”
“Your efforts will not be in vain. Don’t worry, I will help you.”
Paisley then left in a good mood after hearing Hayden’s words. Meanwhile, Hayden was in deep thought for a moment, and then he instructed Lucas to send him to Charles’s house in a hurry.
Andrew stood in front of the window of his office and saw them leaving the Howard Group. Then, he called William. “Paisley has come to look for grandpa again. A few minutes after she left, grandpa left too. Did something happen?”
William did not take it seriously. “Yes, but it’s not a big deal. Let her be.”
“Urgh! Paisley is too disgusting. You’d better be careful because we are dealing with a cunning person. If no one teaches her a lesson now, she will continue to ignore her limits. Why don’t you leave this to me?”
His words surprised William. “Hmm? Are you thinking of practising your skills?”
“Yes. I’m going to take over the Howard family in the future, so I can’t just sit around and do nothing, can I?”
“Alright, take it easy then!” William was relieved.
Meanwhile, a black car slowly stopped at the gate of the house in Ruthorham. Raelyn got out of the car and entered in a hurry without her driver’s help.
Devon was sitting in the living room while reading the news. When he heard a sound, he looked up and asked, “Why are you here so early today?”
“We’re done for! The warehouse in the suburbs has been seized! There’s nothing left!” Raelyn threw the bag on the sofa and walked to him. She sat down disappointedly. “Honey, what should we do now?”
Devon’s face darkened. “What? Our warehouse has been shut down? How is that possible?”
“Yes, I thought that wouldn’t happen too. But today, a few of our storages outside the suburbs were sealed off as well!” Raelyn was upset as she had lost all her funds and income source!
“Didn’t we keep the location of those warehouses confidential? How did they know find out about them? Who told them?” Devon was depressed as well as him because the money belonged to both him and Raelyn.
“Argh! I don’t know! I thought it would be over since they haven’t checked it for a long time. However, I didn’t expect them to take action again today!” Raelyn scratched her head in frustration. “Honey, we don’t have much money left.”
Devon knew it was a serious problem, and he was no longer in the mood to watch the news. Then, he turned off the TV and walked back and forth while thinking, “Hmm… there must be someone watching our every move!”
“Huh? Who could it be?” Raelyn asked.
“I don’t know! I can’t think of anyone capable enough to do so!”
Devon was upset, “Well, George ended up in a miserable state because he went against Valeria! She is the daughter of your brother and Natalie. Perhaps your brother did this to us?”
“How is it possible? Nah, my brother is kind, and he won’t do ruthless things like these,” Raelyn shook her head and denied.
“Hey! You shouldn’t come to a conclusion this quickly! It’s difficult to judge a book by its cover.” Devon protested as he still suspected Archer.
“Think about it. Savannah hurt him so many times, but he never got revenge on her. I’m his younger sister, and I never hurt him. So, why would he treat us like this?”
“Huh? Then who would it be other than your brother? Could it be…” Devon became more agitated.
“Honey, who did you think of?” Raelyn immediately asked.
“William!” His eyes were filled with hatred. “It must be him!”
“Is this possible? That jerk is ignorant and incompetent. How could he have such capabilities? Heh! That would be a miracle!” Raelyn snorted.
“You know nothing! William is a dark horse, and he is the most powerful person in this city! He must be responsible for all of this. Urgh! We’ve fallen into their trap!”
“Really? How can a playboy like him be this powerful? Who is he?”
Devon shook his head at Raelyn’s continuous questions. “Well, I don’t know his true identity, but I found that he was involved in all the terrible incidents that have happened recently. Anyway, let’s start from George. Alas! I had to help him because Archer is unwilling to do so. During this period of time, I have been trying to use all my connections to get him a shorter sentence, but nothing worked.
