Savannah had been chasing after Elizabeth this whole day, so she could do nothing as Elizabeth’s car flipped over the bridge. Then, she stopped her car immediately when she heard a loud “bang”.
The car which almost crashed into Elizabeth’s car also stopped. When the driver of the car saw the accident, he immediately called the police.
However, Savannah returned without hesitation. Charles was sitting in the living room calmly, so she rushed in and reported the good news immediately when she came in. “Charles, that b*tch’s car flipped and flew out of the road! Haha, I’m so happy. She’ll be disabled even if she doesn’t die!”
“Really?” He was shocked.
“Yes. I witnessed it myself! How could it be fake? F*ck you, b*tch! How dare you hurt me? This is karma!”
Savannah gloated, “She has already died, so we don’t have to worry about her threatening us anymore.”
Charles actually didn’t care about Elizabeth, but when he thought of their fight and her threat just now, his face darkened. He then picked up his phone and dialed, “Find Mason right now! Hurry up!”
“Why? Are you going to tell him this sad news?” Savannah sneered.
“Are you stupid? Elizabeth knows what we’ve done, and she definitely told Mason about it just in case! She told me that she wouldn’t do anything if nothing happens to do. Now that she’s dead, Mason will not stay still, and he’ll definitely use that information to report us! So we have to find him and stop him from doing so!”
“That b*tch’s car flipped over! She’s probably going to die soon!”
“What? Call the police now!”
On the other side, after Mason showered, he picked up his phone and glanced at it habitually. When he heard Elizabeth’s voice message, he was shocked and immediately called her.
However, no one answered it. Did Charles catch her?
His eyelids twitched as he didn’t dare to imagine the consequences. After that, he immediately packed up and left in a hurry.
William found out about Elizabeth’s accident when he was eating breakfast with Valeria the next morning. Bobby reported the news to him emotionlessly, “Elizabeth got into a car accident last night. After she got into an argument with Charles, her car overturned and flipped over the road. She has been sent to the hospital, but I heard she’s in a critical condition right now.”
“Her car flipped over?” William frowned. “Did Charles cause it? Or was it an accident?”
“It was an accident. Someone else was at the scene, and they reported this incident to the police.”
“Where is Mason now then?” William asked again.
“Our men did not spot him at the hospital nor the company. It looks like Mason disappeared last night.”
“Well, I guess the fight has started! I was planning to use one of them as bait, but now…” William shook his head. “Ask someone to keep an eye on Elizabeth and pay more attention to Mason. Make sure to find him before Charles does.”
Valeria was confused. “Honey, why are you paying so much attention to Elizabeth and Mason?”
“Well, Andrew suspects that Charles caused his mother’s death, and Elizabeth is his accomplice. Even though Charles and Elizabeth are fighting with each other now, I never expected Elizabeth to get into an accident. Therefore, we’ll lose our only lead if she dies!”
“Hmm… How could Charles be so despicable and shameless? If this is true, what is Andrew planning to do? Would he send him into prison?”
“He’ll definitely do that, right?”
“But will your dad agree to it? Since it’s a scandal, I think your dad will oppose it.”
“Hmm… now that I’m thinking about this incident from my dad’s perspective, I believe you’re right. After all, he doesn’t want to expose anything that could harm our family’s reputation. However, I think that Andrew will go against him.”
“Will your dad use the company to threaten Andrew instead?” Valeria asked worriedly.
“Don’t worry. I’m sure that this problem will be solved soon! You can go to your company in peace!” William reached out and patted Valeria’s hand gently after saying that.
Valeria knew that she couldn’t help them, so she could do nothing but now.
After having breakfast, she went to the company and met Lamont in the parking lot. He greeted her with a smile. “Good morning, Miss!”
“Good morning, Uncle Saunders!” She nodded with a smile.
As they walked to the building together, he asked her, “Do you know what happened to Elizabeth?”
“Yes. I never expected this to happen to her. Alas! I wonder how she’s doing now.”
“Well, I heard that she was injured terribly, and she’s still in a critical condition. But, to be honest, even if she did not have any serious injuries, Charles would find someone to kill her as he wants her dead!”
“Huh? I guess she’ll probably end up dying no matter what, right?”
“Yeah, Charles has something against her, so she’ll probably die unless something unexpected happens.”
“Hah! I guess she can’t die because we’ll lose our only clue then! Well, I mean, my husband said so.”
“Huh? Is William investigating her?” Lamont asked.
“Yes. Ah! I’m worried about him because he has so much to do, but I can’t help him with anything!”
“Don’t worry! President Saunders has already decided to help me, so I’m sure that Charles will not get what he wants if both of them work together to stop him!”
Upon hearing his words, Valeria calmed down a little. Then, he asked her, “I heard that Lucian saw you last night. Why was she looking for you?”
“Oh, yes! I was about to tell you about it. Previously, when I asked her for help, she rejected me after giving me a bunch of reasons. However, last night, she was willing to help me as she said that she was worried that Raelyn would hurt me. What do you think about it?”
“What? She told you that Raelyn would harm you?” Lamont asked with a stunned expression on his face.
“Yes, that’s what she told me. She even said that grandpa left thirty percent of his shares for his granddaughter. Thus, she believes that Raelyn would attack me for those shares, so she wanted to help me defeat her.”
“Is that so?” Lamont frowned slightly. “By the way, Lucian went to the hospital last night.”
“What? Why did she go there? Did she want to harm my mom?” Valeria suddenly became nervous after hearing this.
“No, I think that she wouldn’t do anything to President Garcia. After all, if she really wanted to harm her, she wouldn’t have to wait till now, right?” Lamont calmed Valeria quickly, “I think Lucian didn’t do anything harmful to President Garcia other than giving her painkillers. We’ve never found out her true intentions, so now that she’s trying to get on your good side, do you think she’s actually aiming for the Saunders family’s properties?”
“No way. This isn’t possible at all!” Valeria was shocked.
“Well, I guess we can’t make a conclusion now! Let’s cross the bridge when we come to it then!”
At noon, Valeria invited Abbie out for lunch. Both of them did not want to eat spicy food, so they went into a restaurant that served Japanese cuisine instead.
Valeria arrived much earlier than Abbie, and the latter only reached thereafter Valeria had placed her order. However, Abbie looked much more haggard than yesterday, and the makeup she wore could barely cover up her dark circles.
Valeria was surprised, so she looked and Abbie and asked, “What’s wrong with you? Are you suffering from insomnia?”
“Yes! Micheal, that jerk, actually is living opposite me. I think he’s crazy! After I blocked his number, he started knocking on my door! F*ck! I think I’m going insane because of him!”
“What? Is he crazy? How could he do that in the middle of the night? What was he planning to do anyway?” Valeria asked in surprise.
