Natalie was stunned when she saw Lucian. “Don’t you recognise me? I’m Lucian!”
“Lucian?” She muttered while scratching her head and then showed a bitter smile. “Ah… I see! It seems that you haven’t come to see me for a long time.”
Lucian said softly. “I’ve been busy lately, and many people are watching me, so I didn’t dare to visit you.”
“What? Who’s doing that?” Natalie retorted.
“A lot of people are doing it! The Saun…” After saying this, Lucian suddenly remembered that Natalie’s caretaker had told her that Natalie’s memory was deteriorating, and the latter didn’t remember much. Thus, she didn’t continue her words and asked her, “President Garcia… Do you not remember?”
“Recently… my memory is getting worse. I think I have forgotten a lot of things. What the hell is going on? Am I too sick?”
“No, don’t overthink about it. Maybe it’s because of the treatment. Everything will be fine when you recover,” Lucian comforted in a soft voice.
“Is that so?” Natalie frowned. “By the way, I saw the news today. What happened to Savannah and Ronald? They even mentioned that Archer and Savannah’s child actually is mine. Is it true?”
“I’m still investigating this matter, so I’ll tell you after I figure it out.” Lucian only replied briefly. “President Garcia, didn’t you watch your child die with your own eyes? How could he be alive? Besides, Savannah is so vicious, then how could she raise him? I suspect that something happened between her and Archer. Everyone blames on you because they had no other explanation. Besides, they thought that you were dead!”
“Is that so?” Natalie frowned and wanted to say something. Suddenly, she turned pale and massaged her temple. “What did I want to say? I suddenly forgot! What’s going on? Ouch! I have a headache… It hurts so much…”
Lucian was shocked to see her painful face, and she quickly grabbed the medicine bottle to give a pill to her. Then, she turned around to pour a cup of water for her as Natalie pooped the pill in her mouth.
Once she turned around, Natalie covered her mouth with her hand and spit the pill out quietly.
Lucian handed a glass of water to her, and she gulped it down. She was still in pain, so she moaned while massaging her temples on the bed.
Lucian also felt her pain when she saw that Natalie was suffering. She rubbed Natalie’s temple. “Close your eyes and have a rest. Everything will be fine!”
Then, Natalie closed her eyes and moaned before falling asleep shortly.
Lucian sat beside Natalie as she watched the latter fall asleep. Then, she gently touched Natalie’s charming face.
“I’m sorry! You only have to endure for a while, and everything will go back to the way it was before! At that time, you will never be in pain again and live a happy life!”
After staying beside her for a while, Lucian took the blanket to cover her and left.
Natalie breathed out a sigh of relief as she listened to the footsteps leaving the door. Lucian had a pained expression on her face when she had seen her miserable condition. However, why did she say that Natalie only had to endure the pain a little more before everything would be the same? Why did she want Natalie to lose her memory?
What the hell was she planning?
After Bobby sent Valeria back to her house, he immediately went to pick up William. She thought that he would come back soon, but he never returned even though she had been waiting for a long time.
She was worried, so she sent him a message. After that, he replied, “You sleep first. I’ll be back later.”
She used to sleep without worries last time, but now she could not sleep without seeing him. Thus, she leaned against the bed and played with her phone while waiting for him. Then, she saw that Raymond had posted several pictures that included Talitha, Hardy, and Paisley at the nightclub on his social media.
In the picture, Raymond, who was drunk, closed his eyes and leaned on the sofa. The caption stated this. “Raymond said that he would never get drunk. This is the evidence. You all are my witnesses!”
Besides, Paisley posed with a ‘V’ sign, and Hardy had a smile on his face while Talitha’s head was on his chest. They had also deliberately enlarged Raymond’s drunk look.
Anyone could tell that Talitha had posted the picture by using Raymond’s phone. After all, Raymond was closer to Talitha, his cousin, rather than Valeria, as she had only returned to the family recently.
However, she was not upset about it because they were adults, and they had never grown up together. Besides, they treated each other as strangers even though they were biological siblings.
Even if they were not siblings, Valeria would have ignored him if he had not been one of the people who were involved with William.
However, now that they were biological siblings, she couldn’t ignore him. After all, he was older than her, but he was innocent. Thus, he could fall into someone’s trap easily. Talitha was not a good person, so she was afraid that he would reveal the matter of William to Talitha and Paisley.
It would be troublesome if they knew the secret because they were cunning. That was why she was worried and decided to call him immediately.
The person who answered the phone was not Raymond but Talitha. She then shouted, “Hello? Is this Valeria? I’m Talitha. Raymond vomited in the bathroom because he drank too much. Why are you looking for him?”
“What? Is he alright? What if something happens to him?” She asked.
“Don’t worry! He’ll be fine as we have other friends here…”
Before Talitha finished her words, someone snatched the phone. It was Hardy. “Valeria, do you free? Come and pick up your brother. We all drank, so we can’t send him home. He’s drunk and needed someone to drive. I’m a little worried…”
Hardy seemed to be drunk too as he talked a lot of nonsense. Valeria frowned and said, “Where are you?”
“We’re… we’re at Neon Nights.”
“Okay, I’ll be right there.” She changed her clothes and drove there.
When she arrived at the gate, she received a call from William. “Darling, where are you?”
“Raymond is drunk. I’m going to pick him up at Neon Nights.”
“Urgh! He’s an adult, but he can’t take care of himself! Where are the driver and bodyguards of the Saunders family? Why did they allow you to drive out yourself? They’re so useless!”
Valeria immediately explained herself when she knew he was upset, “No, I went out on my own! I felt uneasy because Talitha and Paisley were with him. Let me bring him back home now!”
However, William was worried about her. “Stay there. I’m coming over now.”
