Archer froze for a moment, but William had already hung up.
Gavin looked at his stunned expression and asked, “What did William say?”
“He said to not worry and let things be… He also said that Savannah’s mother’s surname is Brown.”
“Brown?” Gavin frowned. “What is he planning on?”
“I don’t know,” Archer frowned and thought for a moment. Suddenly, he realized, “I know what he is going to do.”
He had no time to explain to Gavin, and he immediately called his assistant. “Tell the Public Relations Department to increase the publicity of that post. Tell them to keep it trending.”
As he was calling his assistant, Gavin took out his phone to check on the post. After reading it, he put down the phone and said, “William really is something!”
“Dad, have you figured it out?”
“Am I that stupid?” Gavin stroked his beard and laughed heartily. “Valeria is so lucky to find such a husband, and Hayden is so blessed to have given birth to such an intelligent and crafty son. Savannah will be dead meat in no time.”
Meanwhile, Savannah returned to Charles’s villa in a good mood. When she entered the villa, she heard Ashley’s coy moans coming from upstairs.
She frowned and loudened her footsteps, and the voice from upstairs stopped. Then, Ashley came out of Charles’ room with a cup in her hand. Her hair was messy and her face was flushed.
Savannah frowned and glanced at her. “Your mother’s awake?”
“Yes, she woke up, but the police are with her over there, so I can’t visit her. Madam, can you visit my mom on my behalf?”
“Of course, there shouldn’t be a problem with that. I’ll send someone to find out what’s going on.”
“Thank you, Madam!” She went downstairs with a grateful look.
Savannah looked at her in disgust and strode upstairs. Charles came out of the room and said, “You’re back? What did the girl from the Anderson family say to you?”
“Charles, come with me.” They walked to the study room, and she closed the door with a smug smile on her face and told him what Talitha had done.
“Now the news is being published, and William and Valeria are being criticized. Things are going according to the plan.”
Charles was also very happy to hear that. “William already has a bad reputation, so people won’t be too surprised by this. However, Valeria is the unlucky one, and she will definitely be criticised badly. She must be extremely angry right now, huh? And the Saunders family… Let’s see how they’ll deal with this. If they dared to ask Valeria to return to the family, then it would mean that they approve of William and Valeria’s inappropriate relationship. Therefore, Gavin and Archer would never do that because of the scandal.”
“Yes, I think so too. Their relationship is publicly known. Now that they’ve become uncle and niece, Gavin has to take care of his reputation. So, Valeria probably won’t be able to step into the Saunders family anymore.”
“Raelyn sure is capable. Look at her two daughters! Talitha, without a doubt, is very powerful. Wouldn’t the other daughter, Natasya, be even more powerful?”
“Yes, the other daughter, Natasya Anderson, inherited all the strong points of Raelyn and Devon. Of course she’s better than Talitha.”
Then, Savannah thought about how she still had nothing under her even though she was already old, and felt a little depressed. So, she quickly changed the topic and said, “Charles, we’re going to seize this opportunity and find Ronald first. It’s best if we find him right now and let him carry out our plans.”
“I don’t know where he is hiding. He has nothing now, so he won’t be hiding for long. He will show up soon. We just have to wait.”
While they were talking, Savannah’s phone chimed and a text message popped up. “Hello, Mrs. Saunders. I’m Ronald Brown. Can we meet up?”
Uh? Ronald had just taken the initiative to contact her? Savannah couldn’t believe her eyes and immediately replied to him. “Where are you?”
“I’m at the No. 1 Lotus Road in the west of the city. I have something very important to tell you. Do you have time?”
“It’s too late now. How about tomorrow?” She replied.
“It will be too late tomorrow! Mrs. Saunders, you should know that I just came out today, right? I have been locked up for so long that I can’t wait any longer for revenge. I have what you want in my hands. If you are willing, come to me immediately! By the way, I don’t want anyone to see me in contact with you, Mrs. Saunders, so you’d better come here alone. Don’t bring anyone with you.”
She looked at Charles and said, “Charles, Ronald has contacted me and asked me to see him alone!”
“That’s kind of strange, don’t you think?” He frowned. “Don’t tell me he’s up to something?”
“What tricks could he have? He’s useless now! Besides, if he asks me not to bring anyone, do I have to listen to him? We’re the ones in control after all.”
He nodded his head and said, “You’re right. Take a few bodyguards with you. You haven’t done anything to him, so I don’t think he would do anything to you.”
Savannah brought two of her bodyguards and rushed to the No. 1 Lotus Road. The driver turned on the navigation and the car sped towards its destination.
Forty minutes later, the car finally stopped. She looked around and realized that it was a high-end residential area. It seemed that Ronald had a backup plan, so he was not as miserable as she thought he would be.
She sent a message to Ronald in the car. “I have already arrived at the entrance. Which building do you live in?”
Ronald told her the house number and said, “Mrs. Saunders, for the sake being sure, you’d better check if anyone is following you. You can come in after you double check.”
“What a coward!” She sneered. She looked around and ordered her bodyguards, “I’ll send you a message after I go in. If I don’t send anything in ten minutes, come up right away.”
After giving them orders, she entered the residential area. Ronald lived on the eighth floor, so she took the elevator and pressed on the doorbell. The door opened almost immediately, and Ronald smiled as he said, “Mrs. Saunders, this way please!”
After she entered, he looked around carefully before closing the door.
When Savannah entered the living room, she had a look of disdain while looking around and said, “Your place is quite decent!”
“Please sit down, Mrs. Saunders. I’ll get you a cup of tea!” He said as he went to prepare some tea. How could she possibly drink his tea? So, she waved her hand to stop him. “No need, just tell me what’s going on. It’s late, I have to go back.”
“Okay! Then let’s get straight to the point.” He sat down in front of her, picked up the cigarette on the coffee table, and lit it up, but he did not smoke it. “Let’s talk about what happened between me and Natalie back then. You knew that the person who slept with her that night wasn’t me, right?”
“Did you bring me here just to talk about stuff that happened ages ago?” She replied.
