After they heard the bell, the two waiters immediately came in and asked, “What can I do for you?”
“I want to meet your manager!” Valeria ordered them coldly.
“Oh… Miss, is there anything you need or is there anything we can do to help?”
“Okay, then! Let me ask you, who is this woman?” Valeria pointed at Savannah and raised her voice.
“I came here to meet Mr. Howard today. So why is this crazy woman here instead? Why did she just come in rudely and sit here like she owns the place? She had even asked me to guess her identity! Any well-educated person would state their own identity if they trespassed into someone else’s property, but she asked me to guess who she was? What is she thinking?”
When she heard this, Savannah’s face instantly darkened. On the way here, she put a lot of thought into this plan and was prepared to put Valeria in a disadvantageous position. She was ready to humiliate Valeria like she did when she bullied Natalie back then, but she didn’t expect Valeria to take the initiative.
She felt shameful as she was embarrassed publicly, but she could not do anything about it since she came voluntarily.
Valeria wasn’t here to meet her, but she had entered the room arrogantly and didn’t reveal her identity, which clearly showed that she looked down on Valeria. However, she didn’t expect that Valeria would seize the opportunity to make a fuss and embarrass her.
Valeria questioned the waiter loudly, and the other customers who were passing by glanced in their direction when they heard the commotion.
Without giving Savannah a chance to catch her breath, Valeria continued, “Come to think of it, the Glory Club is a top-notch club. Isn’t it your fault that she was able to come in? Tell your manager to come over right now!”
Savannah was thoroughly embarrassed right now. While the passersby continued to give her weird looks, she was extremely angry, so she had no choice but to explain her identity, “Miss Brown, let me introduce myself. My name is Savannah Howard! I’ve come to see you on Mr. Howard’s behalf.”
“Miss Savannah, you need to work on your manners. Since you’ve come to see me on behalf of Mr. Howard, why didn’t you introduce yourself when you entered this room? Why were you acting proudly?” Valeria’s words were harsh.
Savannah’s face turned red when she heard this. “I thought… Miss Brown would recognize me.”
“Why would I recognize you? Who do you think you are? An international celebrity? So what if you’re the one? You have a very common face. How would I be able to recognize you?”? I don’t keep up with that!”
“You!” Savannah gasped in anger as she thought that Valeria was exactly like that rude b*stard William! From the ordeal just now, it was no wonder that William and Valeria were together as they had the same feisty personality!
Seeing that Savannah’s face was red from anger, Valeria felt delighted deep down. She would deflect all of Savannah’s evil plans and intentions no matter how cunning they were!
It would be useless to reason with people like Savannah, so she had to do things this way.
She looked at Savannah indifferently and said, “Madam Howard, the person I’m meeting with is Mr. Howard. Why are you here instead? I don’t think there’s anything to talk about between the two of us, right?”
Savannah took a deep breath to control herself and suppress her boiling hatred for Valeria.
She couldn’t lose her temper right now. Her goal today was to make Valeria cry, so she had to be patient as the show had just begun.
As she suppressed her anger, she replied, “Yes, we don’t know each other, so there’s nothing to talk about. However, you are in a relationship with William right now, and he is my younger brother. I’m sure you know this, right?”
“You and William are step-siblings, so you don’t have to pretend to care about him like that! You’re being very fake and disgusting like this!” Valeria spoke entirely according to her will, causing Savannah to be livid.
“Even though you don’t like me, I still have to say what I came to say. My father is against you and William being together. Miss Brown, you should know the reason to this, right?”
“Actually, I don’t. Miss Savannah, care to tell me why?” Valeria replied sarcastically.
Savannah clearly knew that Valeria was pretending to be clueless, but she had to go along with her. “When my stepmother was pregnant with William, she was pushed down the stairs by your mother, and then she died of loss of blood. Your mother caused the death of my stepmother. Don’t you feel guilty when you’re with William?”
“I did nothing wrong, so why should I be guilty? The people who should be guilty are those pretending to be innocent. Am I right, Miss Savannah?” Valeria’s lips curled into a cold smile as she looked at her.
Savannah’s heart sank abruptly as she heard this. Did Valeria find out about something? Everything that happened back then was top secret, so how could she, who wasn’t even born that time, know about it?
Valeria probably said that on purpose because she knew that Savannah had bad intentions towards her, right? Soon, Savannah forced herself to calm down. She did not care about Valeria and William’s relationship as what she cared most about was stopping Valeria from stepping into the Saunders family.
“Alright, if you feel that this has nothing to do with you and can be with William without any guilt, then let me remind you of something else. You should know your true identity by now, right? Aren’t you afraid of being criticized by others when you’re with William?”
“Identity? What are you referring to, Miss Savannah?” Valeria narrowed her eyes and looked at her with a cold smile.
Valeria had been playing dumb all this time, so Savannah had no other choice but to get straight to the point. “Miss Brown, don’t play dumb with me. You know very well what my father-in-law’s intentions are by staying in B City and meeting up with you these days, don’t you? I’m married into the Saunders family, and William is my younger brother. Do you think it’s reasonable for you and William to be together?”
Valeria narrowed her eyes and smiled coldly as Savannah had finally mentioned her point. “Savannah, I don’t quite understand what you’re trying to say. What exactly is the reason you’re here for? Is it to persuade me to break up with William? Or is it to stop me from entering the Saunders family?”
“You are a smart person, aren’t you, Miss Brown. Don’t you understand such a simple question? If you stay with William, you won’t be able to go back to the Saunders family; and if you choose to step into the Saunders family, you won’t be able to be with William anymore! Now, it’s up to you to decide.”
Savannah’s goal was crystal clear by now. She was afraid that her status would be lowered if Valeria stepped into the Saunders family.
Originally, Valeria did not have the intention of returning to the Saunders family, but after she was provoked by Savannah, she immediately felt rebellious.
This vicious and shameless woman thought that her plan would succeed in the end and that everyone else was just going to obey her ways. However, she was going to let Savannah know that what she was planning to do today would just be a waste of effort.
“Hah! I didn’t know that I had to make a decision like this to be together with William! I could only choose one or the other? There’s no third option?”
Her mocking smile made Savannah feel uncertain, but she had no choice but to bite the bullet and say, “Miss Brown, you know what… Unless you don’t want your current status anymore, and unless you are willing to accept the criticism against you and William, then I’m afraid it’s impossible for you to have a third option.”
