Natalie knew that William had a high position, but she never expected him to be the Wolf Group’s president that was so mysterious.
She stared at him for a long time before saying slowly, “I see! Since you are Wolf Group’s president, I can rest assured with you around.”
She smiled bitterly. “I want to explain… what happened to your mother. I didn’t push her! I was just questioning her about her bodyguard who caused my child’s death, but she fell unexpectedly! I’m sorry! You might not believe me, but this is the truth. It’s my fault as this tragedy wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t met her. Thus, I’ll bear the responsibility myself. I just hope that you won’t hurt Valeria because she’s innocent. Please treat her well!”
“Of course, she is my wife! Don’t worry, I’ll treat her well.”
“Thank you!” Natalie had an unspeakable feeling when she saw his handsome face. After all, because of her mistake, William had lost his mother. She bowed to him and said, “I’m… I’m sorry!”
William reached out his hand to hold her. “There are other people who are behind my mother’s death. You were just one of the casualties, so I’ll make sure to find out the real culprit!”
“Is it Savannah?” Natalie asked.
“Well… you’re getting there! The truth will be exposed soon. By the way, other than the truth about Valeria and Raymond, that’s one more thing I need to tell you. Be careful of Lucian!”
“Yeah, I realized that. She’s suspicious, and I’m thinking how to deal with her.” Natalie did not hide her thoughts. “She can do whatever because of my current situation. I have no way to stop her. Back then, I wanted her to transfer this resort and my other two companies to Valeria. However, you’re more suitable to do it as I don’t trust her now.”
“Thank you for your trust, but it’s not the right timing. You don’t have to do anything for now. Just let her be. I will arrange for it.”
It was three o’clock in the afternoon when Valeria woke up. The villa was quiet. She called out to her husband several times, but no one answered.
She thought that he was busy outside as she didn’t find him in the study room. Therefore, she washed up before changing her clothes and went out.
When she carried her bag and walked out from the villa, she saw Lamont sitting in the car.
She looked at him surprisingly. “Huh? What are you doing here?”
“Miss, I want to talk to you.”
“Hah! If you’re here to tell me to break up with William, save your breath. You’re only to waste your time!”
Lamont forced a smile and said, “Miss, what I’m going to tell you today has nothing to do with him. Let’s find a place to sit down and talk.”
Valeria felt hungry and said, “Okay, let’s go to the place where we have afternoon tea.”
She happily finished off three pieces of Tiramisu, then ate a cup of yogurt and a few pieces of fruit. When she was eating, Lamont sat quietly beside her and watched her eat.
Lamont did not seem like he was going to eat, so Valeria stopped eating as well. Thus, she picked up the spoon and slowly stirred the coffee in the cup. “Well, what do you want to tell me?”
“I’m here to tell you something very important. Please… please try not to be emotional after hearing it,” Lamont said.
“Just say it.”
“You are not Ronald’s daughter, but someone else’s.”
Valeria stopped and looked at him. She was not surprised. “Hmm? Who is it?”
Lamont saw that she was not shocked, so he was unsure about it. “Your biological father is Archer, President Saunders!”
He said and looked at her nervously. However, she calmly picked up the coffee and drank, and she did not look stunned at all.
This was completely different from what he thought. In fact, he had thought that Valeria would be shocked or angry, but she was too calm. She then took a few sips of coffee and put down the cup.
“So?”
“Umm…” He didn’t know what to do. After discussing with Archer, he thought that she would not believe him. However, he did not expect her to be so calm.
He paused for a moment and said, “Well… the president wants to rename you as his child.”
“Uncle Saunders, why don’t you say everything all at once? It’s a little tiring for me to continue this long conversation. Just tell me what you and Archer want to do.
“Well, he wants to put you in his family register, but he was afraid that you would resist him, so he asked me for your opinion. Actually, he was happy and distressed at the same time when he knew about you. Thus, as long as you are willing to return to the Saunders family, he planned to give the company and everything to you.”
“Huh? Is that true?” Valeria asked faintly. “The Saunders Enterprises is a large company, but I’ll get it for free? Are you sure there are no other conditions? If so, I’ll accept it happily.”
“Do you really want to go back?” Lamont could not understand her meaning.
“Of course! Isn’t it a good chance? I’ll get the many properties that Saunder Enterprises own! That sounds too good to be true! ” She showed no expression on her face. “Uncle Saunders, will he give me the properties once I return to the Saunders family?”
“Umm… of course not. You don’t know how to manage a company well, so you have to learn from him.”
“There’s no need to do that. My husband can manage it.” She said calmly, “Uncle Saunders, let’s make it clear, I want the properties, and I’m also willing to become a member of Saunders family. Do you have anything else to say?”
