After replying to Lamont’s message, Valeria immediately sent a message to William. “Honey, Lamont is here. He just sent me a message saying that a stranger has entered Raymond’s room.”
“I see. You don’t need to go back to your room. Just stay by the lake for a while, and I’ll settle it!”
Valeria felt relieved after seeing his message, and she said to Raymond. “Someone entered your room. For the time being, let’s stay here and not go back to our rooms.”
Raymond had an uneasy expression on his face after hearing her words. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, Lamont dropped by our rooms and saw them, and he was the one who texted me this news,” Valeria said as she showed the message to Raymond.
Abbie saw they were talking and interrupted them, “Hey! What are you murmuring about?”
“Abbie, someone entered Raymond’s room, and they haven’t left after a long time,” Valeria replied. “He doesn’t seem to be a good guy. We have to be careful later.”
“D*mn, why are you so arrogant? Is there anything you want to say, Raymond?” Abbie looked at Raymond and asked.
“What… what can I say about this? Maybe there was a thief, or… or the staff went to clean up the room?” Even though Raymond had said these words, he still found his excuses unbelievable.
How could the thief enter if there were so many security guards outside? He would be digging his own grave! Furthermore, he didn’t bring anything with him. A thief would not stay for a long time after stealing from the room, so that person that had entered was obviously not a thief.
He couldn’t be a staff of the resort since they had already cleaned up earlier. In fact, the staff would not enter unless a guest had ordered them to. Additionally, all the cleaning staff was female, but he was a man.
Raymond felt anxious. He couldn’t believe that Savannah had framed him. However, he had only told her about his plans tonight.
“Could it be that she told others unintentionally?”
“F*ck! You keep making excuses for her!” Abbie said coldly.
“However, there’s no reason for her to do that because I am her son. Why would she let someone enter my room?” Raymond was still trying to convince himself.
Abbie rolled her eyes. “Who knows? You’ll get it soon! Isn’t her helper already here? I don’t believe that I can’t get the truth out of him.”
Archer and Lamont went to the east of the building. It was quiet, and there was a window with lights on.
It was not surprising if someone was staying here. They didn’t go upstairs to have a look, but they passed through the gap and exited without anyone noticing.
After walking for about 500 meters outside the resort, they saw a black car parked by the road.
The surroundings were very quiet, so it was weird that this car would be parked here.
Lamont lowered his voice and said, “President, I’ll go over and see what’s going on. Please stay here.”
He crept closer to the car and found out that there was no one inside. After checking it out, he waved to Archer before walking to him quickly and asked, “How is it going?”
“No one is here. I think that this car was parked here for someone else.”
“Did the man enter from here?” Archer picked up his phone and sent their current location with a message, “Bring some people here and keep an eye on this car. If someone comes out, kidnap him.”
In the building, Natalie walked back and forth in the room with an anxious look. “Are they still by the lake? Why haven’t they gone back to rest at this time?”
“President Garcia, you’d better leave. I’ll inform you immediately if there’s any news!” A woman dressed in the same attire as Natalie tried to persuade her.
To prevent the police from coming to investigate the situation, Gonzalec had hired a doppelganger to answer their interrogation in her stead.
“Well, I’ll leave now!” Natalie said as she put on a mask and a hat. She wrapped herself tightly and was ready to leave.
Suddenly, her bodyguard opened the door and rushed in. “Oh no, someone is marking us!”
“What!” Natalie was shocked.
“Look!” He handed the phone to Natalie. A surveillance video showed two people exiting from the small building and walking around the car before returning.
Her eyes focused on the tall man in the video. Although it was a night, and the figures on the video were blurry, she could recognize him at a glance because of her love for him.
“He’s coming!”
“Who is he?” The bodyguard didn’t understand what she meant.
“Archer is here! He arrived here!” Natalie murmured.
“Huh? What should we do now?” The bodyguard was shocked. “I’ll call Gonzalec now to see what we should do.”
He quickly called Gonzalec and said, “Boss, Archer is here.”
“What! How is this possible?” Gonzalec did not believe it. Natalie took the phone from the bodyguard and continued, “I’m sure that Archer is here. Stop your plan immediately and change another room for Raymond.”
“Okay!” Gonzalec answered, “But, President Garcia, how about you? He wouldn’t be here without reason. I mean, he even came here without anyone knowing, so he must have noticed something. Did he find you? You must leave here immediately!”
“I know, but he went to the place where we parked the car. He must have found or suspected something, which means that we can’t follow our original route to leave anymore.”
“If not, where should we go?” Gonzalec asked.
“The entrance!” Natalie said, “Drive your car here and I’ll leave there openly!”
“Isn’t… isn’t that too risky?”
“What’s too risky? Why should we be afraid of their investigation? We didn’t do anything wrong!” Natalie said calmly, “Alright, let’s do this. Come here now!”
Archer and Lamont returned from the original route and stopped in front of the small building. He looked at the house with the lights on thoughtfully and asked, “Who is living inside?”
“Do you want to ask around?” Lamont asked.
“No. We are not policemen, so we don’t have the right to interrogate anyone.” Archer glanced at his watch. “We have solved the problem as we have already blocked the gap. Let’s go back. It’s almost 12 o’clock, so they should take action soon.”
They left quickly instead of going up to check the small building. Natalie stood by the window and looked at Archer’s back. She maintained the same posture for a long time.
The sound of a car honk came from downstairs made Natalie recover her senses quickly. She then went down to get in Gonzalec’s car quickly. He was very nervous. “President Garcia, will it alright?”
“Yes, don’t worry! Just drive!”
The bodyguard drove the car to the entrance. After the security guards saw their boss’s car, they immediately let it pass. Gonzalec drove out of the gate quickly and breathed a sigh of relief. Suddenly, a car came to block them.
