Chapter 406 A Dead Body By Tomorrow

Charles and Savannah had been waiting for the reply anxiously at the resort’s study room.
Upon receiving the news, the two gangsters hired by them had entered the resort and were waiting for their chance to attack.
“There shouldn’t be any problem since they have gone in, right?” Savannah felt uneasy all the time.
“Yes. I was told that they are veterans who are very skilled and alert. Besides, they have been doing this for many years,” Charles replied.
“I can’t wait any longer! What do you think will happen if the news of Valeria’s death goes viral? That b*stard, why does he approach her boldly? Won’t he furious if he finds out that the b*tch is dead?” Savannah was extremely vicious.
“You’re right, but it’s not an advantage for us as he’ll definitely suspect us. Therefore, we must do a good job of aftercare when it is succeeded. We can’t let them find any evidence of our crime!” Charles sneered.
“That’s why I said we should also kill that b*tch, so that they won’t suspect us.”
Ashley was approaching the door quietly. She was not a fool. She noticed that Charles and Savannah were acting strange that day. She was a sly person and knew that they were up to no good.
Although she managed to make Charles like her, she knew her position clearly. She was not irreplaceable to Charles.
He only regarded her as a toy. If she had no value to him, she would be dumped.
However, it would be different if she knew what they were plotting now. As she leaned against the door of the study room to listen, Elizabeth’s sharp voice came, “Hey! What are you doing here?”
The door was immediately opened by Charles and Savannah.
Elizabeth pointed at her and said, “When I came in from the outside, I saw her standing at the door suspiciously. Were you eavesdropping?”
“No. I’m here to look for Mr. Howard.” Ashley quickly denied it.
She was annoyed with her bad luck. She didn’t hear anything and Elizabeth had caught her.
“Why are you looking for me?” Charles looked at Ashley coldly and asked.
“I… I am…” She only came to eavesdrop because she thought that there were no outsiders in the house. She didn’t have a reason to be there.
After some time, she finally said, “I just want to tell you that I want to go out for a while and won’t come back tonight.”
“If that’s the case, then why didn’t you knock? Why were you listening against the door?” Elizabeth asked.
“I didn’t want to disturb Mr. Howard and Mrs. Saunders…” Her explanation was unconvincing.
Savannah and Charles looked at her coldly. Needless to say, they knew that she wanted to eavesdrop but they didn’t know how long she had been standing at the door and what she had heard.
They were only using Ashley after all. It would be fine if she did not cause any trouble, but if she did, she was digging her own grave.
They knew that she didn’t have the ability to do anything yet, so Charles and Savannah didn’t say more. One of them said, “You may go if you want to.”
Ashley let out a sigh of relief and went back to her room to pack her things. When she was walking upstairs, she glared at Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was not bothered, she was just extremely disappointed that Charles and Savannah had not done anything to Ashley when they found out she was eavesdropping.
She then went back to her room while Savannah and Charles returned to the study room and sat down.
They deliberately lowered their voices. Savannah spoke first, “Charles, this Ashley b*tch isn’t honest! She’s sly. You better be careful before she bites us from the back.”
“Don’t worry, I’m just playing with her. Did you think I’d be serious with someone like her?” Charles sneered. “She can be safe as long she behaves, but she’s looking for trouble if she doesn’t.”
Both of them didn’t take Ashley seriously, but she was furious at that time. She couldn’t tolerate Elizabeth’s tricks.
After packing, she saw Elizabeth in the corridor again. She smiled provocatively and said, “Do you know what Mr. Howard said about you to me? Old, ugly, and not interesting. He’s not interested in you, so you’ve been waiting like a widow, haven’t you?”
“B*tch!” Elizabeth said.
“You’re right, I’m a b*tch. But you’re not any better than me. Don’t you think that I’m just like you in the past? Just wait. I’ll make you beg on your knees one day!” Ashley left arrogantly.
Elizabeth was left in the corridor, trembling with anger. “This stupid b*tch. I’m going to rip her apart!” She thought.
Elizabeth was not an easy enemy. One must be really evil to be able to stay by Charles’s side for decades. An idea immediately came to her mind.
No matter what Ashley had overheard tonight, there was an opportunity for Elizabeth.
Yesterday, she overheard that Savannah and Charles were secretly discussing killing Valeria. “How about blackmailing them with this information and letting them think that it was Ashley’s doing? They would kill Ashley for sure.” She thought.
Then, she could use Ashley’s death to trick Savannah and Charles.
She sent a message to Mason as she was planning, “Mason, I saw Ashley tonight. That b*tch was eavesdropping and even provoked me shamelessly. We can’t just let this go. When the news of Valeria’s death released tomorrow, send a blackmail message to Savannah immediately.”
“Got it!” Mason agreed.
He was different from Elizabeth. She was cruel to no end whereas Mason still had some conscience. Even though he lost his dignity in front of Valeria earlier, he couldn’t bear to let Valeria die without doing anything.
He thought for a while and finally sent Valeria a text message, “Someone wants to kill you tonight, be careful!”
Mason waited for her reply, but there was no response at all. He tossed his phone down angrily. Well, he had done his best, and it had nothing to do with him if she died.
Meanwhile, in the small resort, Natalie looked faintly at Gonzalec, “Is everything ready?”
“Yes. I’ve put something fatal in Raymond’s room according to Lucian’s order. As long as he stays the night, there’ll be a dead body tomorrow!”
