Hayden’s heart ached as he rushed over in anger. Lucas was running behind him and he called out, “Sir! Please slow down! You might fall!”
Hayden was already bristling with anger, so how could he slow down? He ignored Lucas and ran all the way to the living room.
The fragments of the vase were scattered on the living room floor. William had not only smashed his vase, but he had smashed almost everything that was on display too, not showing mercy to any one of them.
As he took all of this in, Hayden was so angry that he was shaking. “You d*mned thing! Stop immediately!”
William ignored him and turned in the direction of the study room and kicked the door open. He knew that the displays in the study room were even more valuable than the ones he’d just destroyed. Seeing that William was continuing his crazy act, he lost his cool and shouted, “Stop him! Are all of you dead?”
The bodyguards hadn’t dared stop William when he was smashing the displays. It was only under Hayden’s order did they start to move towards him. They rushed over and held him to stop him from moving. “Sir William! Please calm down!”
Hayden was absolutely furious. He picked up a stick and was about to hit William with it. “B*stard! How dare you come here and destroy everything! I am going to kill you!”
William turned around with bloodshot eyes and he looked just like a madman. “Hit me, go on! I don’t want to live anymore! Hit me to death! I beg you!”
As Hayden raised his stick, his heart softened when he saw his expression, “What’s wrong? William, what happened?”
“I can’t live without Valeria! We should all just die together!”
By now, Hayden couldn’t bear to hit him anymore. He could smell the alcohol on him, and he saw that his clothes were stained. His hair was in a mess and his face was dirty too. He wasn’t his handsome young son anymore, but a drunkard who was now crazy after losing his love.
Hayden threw his stick away powerlessly. “William! Please! Calm down!”
“Was it you? Was it you who told Valeria? She broke up with me! I don’t want to live anymore!” William shouted like a madman.
“It wasn’t me!” Hayden didn’t dare to admit his deeds.
“Who else could it be if it wasn’t you! Why else would she break up with me out of the blue! We were about to get married, and this is all because of you! No matter how hard I think about it, it could only be you who’s behind this!”
“It really wasn’t me! Listen to me, William!”
“No! Bring Valeria back to me! Bring her back!” William acted like he had gone crazy with all his might.
“But…” Seeing William like that, his heart ached terribly for him and at the same time, he was very guilty. Since William didn’t want to listen to him, Hayden called Raymond and Andrew immediately for help. “William is back and he’s drunk. He’s causing a ruckus at home! Hurry over here to stop him!”
Not long after, Andrew was the first to arrive. Once he received Hayden’s call, he had sped over and reached in five minutes. Acting like he was clueless, he shouted, “Uncle William! Calm down! Stop it, let’s go rest! I’ll bring you to your room.”
Since William had already achieved his goals and Andrew was nowhere, he stopped causing a wreck. Then, he was brought upstairs by Andrew.
Raymond arrived half an hour later. Seeing the living room in a mess, his eyes almost bulged out of its sockets. “Grandpa… did someone break in?”
“Hah! Your uncle did this! Go upstairs and see how he’s doing. He’s in a bad mood now.” Hayden looked at his favorite vase sadly and mourned, “Oh, my heart hurts so much! That b*stard!”
“I have to say, grandpa. It serves you right! He’s happy in that relationship so why did you have to ruin it? I would smash everything too if I were him. Uncle has shown mercy, though. If it were me, I would burn the house down. By then, all your antique paintings would be gone…”
“You brat, get lost!” Hayden was burning with rage. Then, Raymond laughed as he went up the stairs.
Upstairs, William was laying on the sofa as Andrew sat next to him with a smile. “Uncle William, don’t you feel uncomfortable? Why don’t you go take a shower?”
“Of course I am, but I have to act the part. If I took a bath as soon as I came up, your grandpa will definitely suspect something. He’s not stupid!”
At this moment, Raymond opened the door and walked in. Seeing William on the sofa, he burst out in laughter.
“Shh!” Andrew put his finger to his lips and shushed him.
Raymond covered his mouth, then doubled over in laughter once again. “You look like a wreck! Aren’t you a neat freak? Don’t you feel uncomfortable like that?”
William stared at Raymond but didn’t answer his question. Once he was done laughing, Raymond walked over to pat him on the shoulder. “It’s a pity you didn’t become an actor. You’re really good at acting!”
“Get lost!” William pushed Raymond’s hand away. He felt a little unhappy as he looked at Raymond. He had used to be William’s nephew, but after he married Valeria, Raymond was going to be his brother-in-law.
Even though Raymond was the same age as him, but since William was his uncle, he had been bullied since young. But now, the tables have turned and it was giving William a headache as he thought about this.
Oblivious to what William was thinking, Raymond smiled and said, “You look absolutely terrible today. Andrew, he’s not as handsome as me now, right?”
“That’s right!” Andrew answered honestly.
“I finally win this time! They say that nephews look like their uncles. But why don’t I look like you at all?” Raymond sat down by his side and stared at him.
William frowned and said, “Get out of my sight!”
“Don’t be like that! You’re drunk, aren’t you? Andrew and I are here to advise you on your relationship. You’d better be polite to us.”
“What if I don’t want to?”
“Then I’ll shout the truth at the top of my lungs! What would happen if grandpa knows that this was all an act?” Raymond threatened him. “Let’s make a deal…”
“You want to make a deal? Are you sure?” William looked at Raymond, barely holding in his smile.
“Of course I’m sure. I’m not going to threaten you about anything if you treat me to dinner tonight. Bring Abbie along too. I’m not going too far, right?”
“You are!” Andrew answered with a smile.
“How can that be?”
“Uncle William hates being threatened. Raymond, if you just begged and asked him nicely, you might have a better shot at it. I don’t think you’ll get to see her tonight by threatening him like this!”
“Really? You can try refusing my offer, Uncle William.” Raymond stood up abruptly as if he suddenly remembered something. “Grandpa is mourning over his antique vase downstairs. Should I go comfort him now and tell him something?”
“Are you threatening me? You’ve become bold alright!” William said through gritted teeth.
“All you have to say is yes or no!” Raymond grinned as he asked.
William looked at Raymond’s handsome face. He knew that he was handsome, but he had never looked at his face this closely before. Right now, he realized that his eyes and nose were very similar to Valeria’s.
Did the both of them inherit Archer’s genes?
While he was thinking about this, Raymond pretended to walk to the door. William smiled lightly and said, “Alright. I promise you, I’ll ask Abbie to come tonight.”
“Yes!” Raymond turned around and sat back down while Andrew looked at him as if he were a dead man.
Since he had dared to threaten William, Raymond was definitely going to be in trouble that night!
