Mrs. Hudson

Book:His Winter Heart Published:2024-5-31

Thank goodness I managed to convince Eion to stop by the reception after making out with him in the car.
The reception was at Hudson’s villa, where Eion’s childhood friend, Mario was serving. I spotted him and smiled at him. “Glad you’re still working here, Mario.”
He bowed a bit, “Even I’m amazed why Eion didn’t fire me. Anyways, I’m wishing you a happy marriage, Ms. Snow.” He then whispered, “I knew you two would end up with each other.” He said with a wink, and before I could even reply, he walked away.
“What was that?” Asked Eion when he caught up to me as he was parking the car earlier.
“Oh, nothing. It’s Mario being Mario.” I replied.
I caught sight of Leroy looking around and once our eyes met, he sighed in relief. He then made his way to us.
“Oh, hey. I’m surprised you managed to arrive here, my friend.” Said Leroy, pointing at my lips and laughing at me. I instantly grabbed a mirror and checked my reflection.
Seeing that there was lipstick smudge and stains, I glared at Eion beside me for not telling me this and he just mouthed a sorry.
Gosh, it’s like I’m broadcasting it to everyone. I should not be embarrassed. We’ve now married after all. We’re going to do the “deed” anyway.
Just thinking about it makes my heart flutter like a teenager.
“How does it feel now that you’re Mrs. Hudson?” Leroy asked.
I smiled hearing it, “It’s great.”
Making our way to our table, I watched as everyone settled on their tables and Dax stood up and went to the stage. Beside me was Eion who was quietly listening to everything, his face annoyed at the fact that he had to wait for the “honeymoon” part.
“To the newlywed couple!” Said Dax, cheering for us. He decided he wanted to be the main emcee for today and entertained everyone.
“Is he drunk?” I asked Leroy, noticing Dax moving so active right now, Leroy shrugged in reply.
There was some performance that the organizer hired until we had our dinner and speech-giving time. “My pal, my bro, Eion Aurelio Hudson.” Started Dax, pacing around and pointing at Eion.
Beside me, Eion was shaking his head in dismay at his friend, feeling a bit embarrassed but anticipating what he had to say.
After Dax finished his speech, it was the maid of honor’s turn now. Emma stood up, grabbed a glass of wine, and said, “Again, I want to say cheers to the best couple in the world.” She started, and I chuckled at that.
Eating our lunch, the rest of the afternoon passed by as we thanked everyone for coming.
Eion and I were on the dance floor with the song Say you Won’t Let Go
“I met you in the dark, you lit me up
You made me feel as though I was enough
I knew I loved you then
But you’d never know
‘Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go”
“I think this is a perfect song for you, babe.” I teased Eion, and his cheeks flustered. I rested my forehead on his, staring at each other as we swayed to the slow rhythm of the song. It was really romantic and relaxing.
“I’ll wake you up with some breakfast in bed
I’ll bring you coffee with a kiss on your head
And I’ll take the kids to school
Wave them goodbye”
I blinked at that, thinking of children. It feels weird, but I’m excited to have a child with Eion. Eion seems to read what I was thinking as he spoke out, “I hope our children look like you. I want a daughter, Snow.”
I shook my head at that, “hmmm, I think I want a son.”
“Oh, whatever. I’ll take anything, it doesn’t matter. As long as it’s with you.” He said, smiling at me.
“And I’ll thank my lucky stars for that night
When you looked over your shoulder
For a minute, I forget that I’m older
I wanna dance with you right now
Oh, and you look as beautiful as ever
And I swear that every day you’ll get better
You make me feel this way somehow
I’m so in love with you
And I hope you know
Darling, your love is more than worth its weight in gold
We’ve come so far, my dear
Look how we’ve grown
And I wanna stay with you until we’re grey and old
Just say you won’t let go
I’m gonna love you ’til
My lungs give out
I promise ’til death we part like in our vows”
The whole crowd laughed at our performance. The song changed into A Thousand Years and I saw Uncle Adam approaching me, offering me to dance.
I happily agreed and I saw Eion also dancing with my mom. He winked at me.
“So, now that you are officially Mrs. Hudson, I hope you take care of my son.”
“I will, Uncle.”
He smiled. “I’m really happy you married him. That kid had no direction in life before he met you.” He said. “Good thing that threat I said to you that time when I was in the hospital worked out.”
“Oh, you still remember that?”
“Of course. How couldn’t I?”
Laughing at Uncle Adam’s jokes, I glanced at Eion’s way to see mom laughing also. Good thing our parents are on good terms so we didn’t have problems like in the movies.
It’s like we were made for each other from the start.
When the whole dance ended, The romantic vibe changed from a slow and steady mood into a happy and groovy vibe.
Leroy appeared on the dance floor, “Enough with the romance vibe, we singles here are suffering. C’mon, hit it, DJ!” He yelled on the microphone, and teenagers came on the dance floor with the song Single Ladies by Beyonce starting.
“Cause if you liked it then you should have put a ring on it
If you liked it then you shoulda put a ring on it”
Just then, I saw a woman pushing on a wheelchair with a very old woman in it.
“Congratulations on your wedding, Eion.” The woman with brown hair and black eyes said, her tanned skin glowing. She looks like she’s in her late fifties. She has similar features to Sereia so I’m guessing she’s her mother. On the wheelchair, the old woman weakly smiled at me.
Eion noticed it and nodded at them, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer to him.
“Snow, this is Sereia’s mother, Aunt Gabriela. And on the wheelchair is my grandma, Janet Hudson.”
“I’m really sorry for your loss, Mrs. Hudson.”
“Now that you’re finally Mrs. Hudson too, call me Grandma,” Said Janet Hudson.
I glanced at Eion who was smirking from beside me. I bit my lip as my cheeks flushed red.
Aunt Gabriela chuckled at that. “Awe, don’t be shy, Snow. You’re now a part of the family.”
I nodded, clearing my throat. “Yes, Aunt Gabriela. And thank you, grandma.”
Aunt Gabriela nodded and hugged me, before pushing the wheelchair away from us and leaving me and Eion alone.
I saw a tall woman with brown hair and black eyes. Her glowing tanned skin stood out the most and her beautiful blue dress suits her. She’s a morena beauty. She ran towards the exit. Narrowing my eyes, I think I saw her before. I nudged Eion from beside me and pointed at the woman.
He squinted his eyes. “Is that, Sereia? I heard Aunt Maggie was looking for her.” He mumbled.
He pointed at his cousin, Sereia who was walking away. Behind her, was a handsome brown-haired and blue-eyed man in a suit. He stopped in his tracks, looking for the woman, and spotted us so he approached Eion. I recognized his face. Oh right, he’s one of Phoenix’s friends.
Last month, Eion and I had vacation here in Hudson’s Villa with the squad and he brought along his cousin, Sereia, and her boyfriend, Phoenix.
“Eion, my man!” He exclaimed, giving him a hug. “Congratulations on your wedding again.”
“Thank you.” Eion replied then turned to whisper at me, “Him and Sereia broke up.”
That took me aback. Really? A month had only passed, that’s so quick. I really thought they were in love. That’s suspicious. I smiled at Phoenix and he waved at me, “Hello there, beautiful bride.”
I offered him a smile, “Hello, Phoenix.”
I felt Eion’s hands getting tighter on my back. His jaw was clenching and said, “Back off Phoenix.”
Phoenix laughed at this, taking a step back, “I was just greeting your wife. No need to be a possessive man.”
He then sighed, “You know I love your cousin. Have you seen Sereia? I think I saw her going there.” The man who I now know as Phoenix asked.
Eion shook his head, “Stop chasing my cousin, man. She’s avoiding you.”
“Oh c’mon, help me. We have been business partners. I just want to apologize to her.” He said, looking sincere.
Eion just waved him off, “It’s your problem. Don’t drag me in that.. and thank you for the ring by the way.”
With that, Eion dragged me away from Phoenix and I saw Phoenix shaking his head in disappointment, looking so lost.
Just then, I saw Sereia now speaking with a handsome man. My eyebrows furrowed, I didn’t recognize him…”Who is that?”
“That’s Sereia’s boss, Theon.”
I nodded. I feel like this is a new love interest. Interesting. Sereia is surrounded by handsome men.
Well, as much as I want to pry and learn about it more, I don’t have time for that?
Eion then turned to me, “You know, it’s thanks to Phoenix that I got that beautiful ring of yours.”
“Oh, really?” I asked. “Since he’s the heir from The Hill Corporation.”
I halted at that. I think I heard that somewhere…in the news. When realization dawned on me, I gasped, “Hill? You mean he’s that young bachelor Phoenix Mason Hill?” I actually met him last time but I never thought he was that person. Gosh, how stupid of me.
Their company is a multi-billionaire corporation that franchises almost anything, most especially jewelry, ships and extending to more business. Wow.
Eion nodded like it’s no big deal being friends with a big shot like that, “Why? Are you going to replace me with him?” He asked casually and I shook my head.
I rolled my eyes at him, “Tsk, you and your possessiveness.” Looking at the clock, I saw that it was almost time for dinner now. Everyone was still partying as I saw Emma and the other squad dancing to the floor. I turned to Eion, “You know what time it is?”
“What?”
“I think we can go now, Mr. Hudson.”
“Where?” He asked dumbfoundedly. Then it hit him and a smirk plastered on his face, “Oh right. We definitely have to go mow. “I can’t wait to officially have you, Mrs. Hudson.”
I chuckled, feeling butterflies in my stomach. This is really it. I can’t wait to be on more adventures with my husband, Eion. It was all worth it.
And I’m proud to say that I am Snow caught in his Winter Heart.
