EPISODE HUNDRED AND THREE
THEME: All hail the Alpha
MOON STONE FORTRESS
It appeared like everyone had their hearts in their mouths and it was extremely hard for them to comprehend what they had just heard. All of a sudden, one of Jayden’s loyalists stood up amongst the crowd.
“Aside the Seer’s announcement and all, how are we so sure this isn’t a means to sideline Jayden for the prodigal son?!” He yelled, getting affirmative responses from the others.
Jayden all the while boiled in anger with only dark thoughts running through his head.
“Kindly relax everyone. This wasn’t up to us and like it had been said the Moon Goddess did this all on her own. The said to be Alpha has no idea what would become of him today. This is why I would call on to Tau Upsilon Rex. I want to believe you all know he has nothing to do with deceit and would tell the exact truth.” Julius offered.
Rex walked up to the podium with his rigid posture not faltering as the members gritted at him. “Good day everyone. I know these times are moments of shock and unexpected announcements for us. But like Beta Julius had said, fate had decided to play out in this situation. Jaylen as I have discovered is the true Alpha wolf which implies only him can become the Alpha.”
“How the hell is that possible?! I am the Alpha!” Jayden blurted out in anger.
Staring at him with a blank expression, Rex kept mute until Jayden sat back down with a vicious anger. “As I was saying,” He kept on. “Jaylen is the Moon Goddess chosen Alpha. He is the Moon Goddess Choice and any attempt to go against this would result to the destruction of us all. And I don’t think we want that-”
Jayden growled attempting to jump at Rex, but he got beaten to it by his twin brother. “No way! No way this is really happening!” Jaylen stood up with rage.
He felt cheated and being sidelined without thinking of what he might want for himself. All of the parables his grandmother and father had indulged in was finally coming back to him. He felt betrayed, since it was obvious they had known for a while but had decided to keep him in the dark.
Jaylen turned towards his mother. “I am so not interested in all of this shit! I thought you only wanted me back home due to dad’s ailing health! But I can’t believe you fooled me to return home. But guess what? I don’t give a damn of what becomes of your Fortress. I am returning to Chicago right this minute.”
Every of the family made an attempt to stand up and go after him but Jaylen stopped right on tracks as he felt swished off his feet and all of a sudden his bones cackled. He screamed out in extreme pain and horror as too many images of some sort of doom raced through his views. The images rushed so much at him and he couldn’t control them.
“What’s wrong with him?” Julius asked Rex.
Rex shrugged. “Well seems like the Moon Goddess is making him transit on his own by making his visions clash with each other.”
Julius winced. “That seems cruel.” He hoped that Jaylen would be fine afterwards.
“The Moon Goddess does nothing without a reason. She isn’t like us.” Rex replied.
Everyone were practically in tears with no one being able to do anything to help. Jaylen howled out in pain and in a swift movement he had shifted into his wolf form. His wolf stood upright despite the painful transition. Series of echoed gasps filled up the whole auditorium as every of the people present sighted Jaylen’s wolf.
“The patch!”
“It’s the Moon Goddess sign!”
” He is truly the Alpha wolf!”
Jayden stared in disbelief, refusing to accept the fact that Jaylen was the one to take his position as the Alpha.
“This has got to be the lamest joke I have ever heard in my life!” Jayden yelled. But no one seem to be listening.
Rex mumbled some words and it had Jaylen’s wolf running at him immediately on the podium. Screams filled the air, they thought the wolf plans was to attack Rex who just simply fell on his knees in front of Jaylen’s wolf and caressed the white patch.
“Welcome home Alpha.” He muttered as the wolf turned to face everyone.
“All hail the new Alpha!” Rex yelled.
Every single soul in the auditorium stood to their feet. “All hail Alpha!” The thousands of voices echoed as they all bowed to Jaylen’s wolf.
Meagan had tears in her eyes while Jayden looked so red like he would explode. Claire and Lorelei had a twisted look on their faces. Everyone stared in awe at Jaylen’s wolf. It had been a while for long decades since it had been heard that an Alpha wolf with the white patch existed. Most of the people in the hall had only heard from storytelling and some had been inquisitive enough to read about it.
Beta Julius beckoned onto Sebastian as he addressed the people. “I believe we have all seen for ourselves that there is a special one amongst us. In light of this, I’ll be resigning from my post and I present to you the new Beta of Moon Stone Fortress. Beta Sebastian!”
The whole hall raged with applause. Jayden growled, gritting his teeth together as he stormed out of the hall. Jaylen’s wolf got escorted to an office at back of the auditorium by Rex after signaling to someone to bring Jaylen a new pair of cloth to wear.
Jaylen shook violently as he shifted back to his body. “What… just happened?” He questioned Rex.
Rex who was leaning against the wall only stared at him intensely. “I believe you can speak!” Jaylen snapped at him.
“It’s simple. You were about to defy the Moon Goddess and she decided to show you who has the most authority by exposing you in front of everyone.”
“But I just almost lost my mind in a bid to do that. Different visions sifted into my head, I thought I would go crazy!”
Rex chuckled. “Well that seem like the Moon Goddess finds you amusing.”
Jaylen glared at him. “This isn’t funny.”
Rex raised his hands up in surrender. “I am sorry to announce this to you but welcome to the world of the werewolves. You are back to your root man!” He clapped.
Jaylen stared in horror like he had just been hit out of his guts. His head was spinning at the thoughts that raced through his mind. Jaylen held on to his head tightly as he slumped into an available chair. This was never what he bargained for in his life! Amongst the vision he could see a brewing war. And now that Jaylen was thinking of it, he could tell it was going to come from Jayden. This was never suppose to happen if the Moon Goddess wasn’t playing a fast one on everyone.
“How do I pacify Jayden and make him understand that I have nothing to do with this?” Jaylen lamented.
“It’s not up to you to decide.” Rex snorted.
Jaylen glared really hard at Rex. At that moment, he decided that he wasn’t going to be much fan of Rex.
