EPISODE EIGHTY FIVE
THEME: This feeling of love
MOON STONE FORTRESS
Jaylen held Lorelei’s hand as he took a side glance at her face. His face light up as he blushed lightly as they walked along the fun park.
“If you keep staring like that I might be forced to find a veil for my face.” Lorelei teased.
“That would be so unfair.” He pouted. “You can’t blame me for trying to watch your beautiful face all day. You mesmerize me Lorelei.”
Lorelei blushed profusely, trying to keep her face away from him. They had both fixed today to spend time together since Lorelei is always caught up with work. Jaylen couldn’t keep still as the excitement of being with her is written all over his face. He couldn’t keep his hands to himself at the sight of her.
They halted as they sighted a nice space underneath a tree that they could seat in. Lorelei brought with her some home made food for picnic. Spreading out the cloth she had brought for the purpose of their intended brunch and Jaylen helped her sit down.
“This is so nice.” Jaylen mused as he inhaled the fresh air.
Lorelei’s eyes lingered on his face as his eyes stayed shut, it felt surreal with the way she feels towards him. Every time she couldn’t reach him or hear from him, it always feels like a part of herself has been ripped apart. There was no denying that Lorelei is head over heels in love with Jaylen.
“Say it already.” Jaylen muttered with a smirk on his face after he caught her staring at him.
When she looked away playing with the tip of her fingers, Jaylen sat up properly and reached out to caress the sides of her cheek.
“Look at me baby.” He mumbled.
Lorelei turned her head to him, Jaylen closed up the space between them and he placed his lips on hers. “Feels good.” Jaylen purred into the kisses as he inhaled her smell.
Jaylen closed his eyes and he bit at her underlip while Lorelei moaned softly at it. Taking in her mouth with caution like it would tear apart in his mouth, Jaylen kissed her slowly. Lorelei held on to the back of his head to deepen the kiss. They kissed for a long minute before letting each other go as they hustled to catch their breath.
“I love you.” Jaylen said still holding her gaze.
Lorelei smiled happily as she leaned forward to kiss him on the lips again. “I love you too.”
Jaylen grinned widely. “Can you repeat that?”
“I love you?”
“Yeah.” He nodded in response.
“I love you, Jaylen Damien.” She repeated.
“Did you all hear that?!” Jaylen yelled into the sky which caused the other people around the park to stare at them.
Lorelei laughed heartily. “Come on, what was that for?” She asked.
“You just said you love me!”
“You admitted it too so are you being so dramatic now?” Lorelei giggled.
Jaylen sighed as he stared at her lovingly. Only his grandma knew about the time he had fallen in love with the only closest friend he had been with during college. Jaylen seek for attention and some affection so bad that it affected his thoughts and mind. He was just nineteen when he met Sonia. He was young and still recovering from the hurt of being sent out of his homeland. Sonia was the perfect description of what beauty should look like and heads turned whenever she walked. Every male on the college campus that came across her wanted to talk to her one way or the other.
Sonia instead found her way to Jaylen ignoring every other person who intended to be friends with her. Feeling lucky that the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in college wanted to be his friend, he sucked everything in. The little attention she gave to him and how she tossed him around didn’t matter. They were just friends but he wanted more and he began to develop a deep feeling towards Sonia.
When he would eventually express himself, Sonia had found solace in the hands of another friend of theirs who had been quick to tell just how he feels. It had been a big blow on him and he had ran home to his grandmother to cry his eyes out.
Having someone who feels exactly the way he feels about them feels like a dream come true. The very first day Jaylen met Lorelei he knew something more was definitely going to come from it. And he was glad to have followed his wolf instincts. The actual truth was he had found his mate-Lorelei.
“If only you know how much this means to me. I had always thought of what it would feel like to be loved properly. Now I know it’s peaceful.”
Lorelei patted his cheek lovingly. “I don’t regret any moment spent with you. Thanks for coming into my life, Jaylen.”
“I love every moment with you.” Jaylen smiled.
Lorelei kissed him again and she could feel her wolf howling in excitement at Jaylen’s wolf. They were already in sync with their thoughts and it felt really exciting.
Jaylen chewed on an apple with his head placed on Lorelei’s lap. She caressed his hair lightly.
“You didn’t give me the full details of your dinner two days ago.” She said to him.
“Oh shit!” Jaylen muttered, raising his head up a bit to stare at her. He had forgotten to tell her about the family dinner with Jayden in attendance because she had been busy all through yesterday and he had a meeting with some of his work partners which had made his mind skip the whole thing.
“I am so sorry baby. I was so preoccupied yesterday and didn’t want to bombard you with talks. It went really well beyond my expectation. Seem like Jayden is coming to terms with my presence.”
Lorelei looked a bit perplexed. “I always wonder why you both were not on good terms in the first place?”
“Probably our egos got in the way, but I guess we are cool now. We had a little chat this morning and it felt good.”
She stayed silent, trying to gather her thoughts. “Is he aware of us dating?”
Jaylen shrugged. “Not yet, does it matter?”
“Actually.” Lorelei gulped. “I have something to tell you baby.”
Jaylen sat up, leaning against the tree to support himself. “What’s wrong baby?”
“I don’t know how you would take this. But I need you to understand what I am trying to say.”
“Ok.” He nodded.
“Before you arrived, Jayden has been making advances towards me. Truthfully, we had a few moment and I had a crush on him. But who wouldn’t he is just as good looking as you are. But I never fell for any of his tricks because I know he is nothing short of a playboy. I don’t know how he would react to the news. I just feel you should know before hand.”
Jaylen shrugged again. “I guess that’s a normal feeling. Moreover it’s just a crush. He would get over whatever he feels for you eventually.”
Lorelei wasn’t so sure about that, but she hoped Jaylen speculation is right. “Are you sure?”
“Once he finds out we are together, he would back off. I am very sure baby.” He leaned closer to kiss her, but got stopped by the ring of his phone. “So sorry, give me a minute.” Jaylen muttered, holding up his phone.
‘What’s up Claire?’ He said into the receiver, listening on what his sister was telling him with a full concentration. ‘Stop playing with me kiddo!’ His tone was high in excitement. ‘I’m coming home right away.’ Jaylen hung up the call.
“What’s the matter?” Lorelei inquired.
“My mom’s family are here.” He responded excitedly.
“That’s nice.” She responded. “So, are you ending our date now?”
It might sound inconsiderate of her, but Lorelei was tired of having her time out with Jaylen being cut short. Wiggling his brows, Jaylen grabbed her by the waist and ticked her. She laughed loudly.
“You aren’t getting rid of me so fast.” She whispered in his ears before taking her mouth into his mouth.
