EPISODE EIGHTY THREE
THEME: Important Guests
MOON STONE FORTRESS
AT THE PACK HOUSE
“What’s going on here?” Jayden inquired as he got off the stairs dripping with water. He had gone for his usual morning run and had got into the shower. It was a weekend and he had decided to stay put at home.
The noise from outside had got him curious to know why there was so much movement around. Coming downstairs he was surprised to see his mom ordering the maids around. As each of them had new duvets on hand and also the kitchen seem to be in a frenzy.
Jayden walked towards his mother and he kissed her on the forehead. “Good morning mom. Please what’s going on?”
Meagan turned to face him and clapped in delight with a bright smile on her face. “We are having some important guests coming over.”
Jayden put a loose hair strand behind his ear. “And they are worth all of this noise?”
Meagan shook her head in response. “I bet you they really are.” She moved away from him trying to check the fresh clothes in one of the maids hands.
Meagan was bursting with life and trying her very best to hide it from the children. Jayden and Claire might not be so familiar with the rest of her family, since it has been a long while since they last saw each other but Jaylen would definitely be over the moon when he sees them. Still watching in awe, Jayden stood with his arms holding up his waist.
“Morning brother.” Jaylen greeted from behind as he slapped Jayden lightly on the back. The two of them have tried to find a common ground since the dinner and they have become quite cool with each other.
“Hey man.” Jayden shook hands with his brother before both of them returned their attention to the ruckus in the pack house.
“What do you think is going on here?” Jaylen asked his brother.
“Seem like mom is expecting some important guests as she said.” Jayden had a smirk on his face.
Claire huffed and puffed as she made her way down the stairs. “Can someone tell them all to quiet down? I am really trying to get a beauty sleep.” She whined.
Jayden gave her a look as he snickered. “A beauty sleep doesn’t suit you at all. Have you checked the mirror?”
Making an attempt to punch him, Claire glared at him. She had the facials on which looks really awful on her since she can’t seem to apply it well on her face. “Stay the fuck away from me and keep your thoughts to yourself.” Claire warned Jayden.
“Without me telling, it’s an obvious fact you know that shit doesn’t work for you. You spend so much money and waste too much time trying to mold your face but it still remains the same.” Jayden continued.
Trying to hide his chuckle, Jaylen nudged Jayden by the side. “You will make her cry.” He motioned towards a teary eyed Claire.
Jayden decided to heighten his attack. “Ouch, did that hurt?”
“I really do not like you and I hope you choke to death.” Claire yelled in his face before stomping off.
“The only thing that can get choked on is my pretty dick!” Jayden called back behind her as he laughed his head off. Jaylen was laughing too.
Gabriella kissed her teeth as she neared them, shooing the both of them away. “If you both won’t be helping with anything can you move your asses out of the way?”
“Hey pretty.” Jaylen held her hands softly.
She yanked it off and pushed him away. “Don’t you try to use such tricky words with me.”
Jayden chuckled. “Will you like to come with Sebastian and I to hang out?” He said turning towards Jaylen.
“No man, I have a date with my girl.” Jaylen answered as he tilted his head to the side.
Jayden wolf whistled. “Ok, ok, I won’t ask who it is. I am sure you would reveal the face soon enough.”
Jaylen smiled shyly. “Yeah. Sure. Soon enough.”
“Ok man, see you soon and probably mom’s important guests soon.” Jayden patted his twin brother’s back and hugged a seated Gabriella briefly before he stepped out of the house.
Checking his wristwatch, Jaylen realized he still has just about some minutes to tease Gabriella before Lorelei calls. “Hey Granny.” He cooed, sitting next to her.
“What?” Gabriella growled.
“Do you mind telling who mom is expecting?” Jaylen wiggled his brow at her.
She snickered. “Your mother is standing right there why can’t you go ask her?”
“It’s obvious she has no intention of telling. Why won’t you just say something Granny.” Jaylen pulled at her hand, turning it like a child would do when requesting for something.
“Let go of my hand, Jaylen.” Gabriella giggled when he refused to let go. “You won’t be hearing a thing from me young man.”
Seeing she wouldn’t budge, Jaylen stood up and pouted his lips. “Remind me to not tell you any secret I know of.”
Gabriella snorted. “I still won’t say a word. Where are you headed and why didn’t you spend some time with your brother?”
“It’s the weekend and I have a brunch with Lorelei.. We would be spending the whole of today together.”
Gabriella shifted in her seat. “I never asked for the details.”
Jaylen snorted. “I wasn’t going to give it either. My eyes are on you Granny.” He made a funny finger to eye contact.
Gabriella laughed her head off as she waved him off. “You can take your leave now, Jaylen. I am not divulging nothing to you.”
“Whatever!” Jaylen stomped his foot, getting distracted as he stepped out of the house when his phone rang.
Meagan walk towards Gabriella with her face glowing as she looked towards the door.
“They have gone out.” Gabriella said. She knew Meagan wanted to be certain her boys had left.
Looking bleary eyed, Meagan curled up next to Gabriella and placed her head on her shoulder. “They are almost here.” She sniffed.
Gabriella caressed Meagan’s hair, she could smell the fresh wash from it. It felt relieving to see Meagan step out of the room and make good use of herself. Her face and skin had almost been fading away due to the gloom surrounding her. Carl had been so thoughtful to not keep Meagan to himself and advised that her family come around too. She herself couldn’t wait to have the Swift family over, they are always a delight. With their help it had been easy to look after Jaylen without much worry.
“I can’t wait to see them.” Meagan muttered.
Patting her shoulders lightly, Gabriella kissed her forehead. “I know Meagan and I am sure they can’t wait either.”
Just as they kept mute in each other’s embrace for long minutes, a loud familiar voice boomed from behind them. “Is anybody home?!”
