CAMILLE’S POV :
“Mystic Falls is beautiful, this place is just wow”. I commented on the beautiful Forest we were in. Nara had done that trick or magic of hers and brought us to Mystic Falls and to a Forest in Mystic Falls called the Ridge Forest. Well we weren’t really inside the forest, more like we were in front of it and there was a gate to pass through.
Nara had explained that the Ridge Forest was guided by some Spirit Beasts and not everyone and anything can just pass through like that. The forest was a magical place that should not be played with and should also be feared.
“So how do you suppose we get in now?” I looked at Nara while smirking. She better have a plan.
“Don’t worry yourself”, she laughed, “I have a friend here”. Of course she does, I chuckled.
“O Banshee, Banshee!!! Bansheeeee” Nara sang sweetly and hummed some tunes, while her eyes were closed and her lips turned into a smile. I watched as she did what she did and suddenly a huge beast appeared before us. Though the beast really did look beautiful and magical.
I thought the beast was going to attack Nara but as it got close to her, it lifted her up with his hands and brought Nara close to his face. Nara giggled loudly as she pecked the beast on the forehead. The beast showed a toothy grin feeling very happy to see Nara. How she makes friends with such creatures, well it’s interesting though.
After they reunited and blah, the beast finally let Nara down and invited us into the Ridge Forest, opening the gates for us to go through.
As soon as we passed through, the gates got shut and locked. I turned and faced it concerned but Nara placed a hand on my shoulder, “it’s alright Camille, when we are ready to leave it will open for us”, she assured me as I nodded and turned to admire the beauty of the forest. Goddess!
The forest was a place of true beauty and magic. As the sun filtered through the canopy of leaves above, dappled light danced across the forest floor, creating a mesmerizing display of greens, yellows, and golds. The air was thick with the sweet scent of wildflowers and the earthy aroma of moss and loam.
As we ventured deeper into the forest, locating the waterfall, the trees grew taller and more majestic. Their trunks were thick and gnarled, their branches reaching high into the sky, as if trying to touch the heavens. The leaves rustled gently in the breeze, creating a symphony of sound that was both soothing and invigorating.
But the true magic of the forest lay in its inhabitants. Faeries flitted about on gossamer wings, their laughter tinkling like bells. Gnarled old dryads peered out from the trunks of ancient trees, their eyes wise with the knowledge of centuries. And in the clearing at the heart of the forest, a unicorn grazed peacefully, its coat as white as snow and its horn shining like a beacon in the sun.
As we walked through the forest, it was easy to forget the troubles of the outside world. Time seemed to stand still, and all that mattered was the beauty and peace that surrounded you. It was a place of wonder and inspiration, a true sanctuary for the soul.
But it was not just a place for the peaceful and serene, for the forest also held danger and secrets. That’s when the forest decides not to be friendly, Nara said. That’s shocking but this forest was truly a sight I would never forget.
Nara sited the waterfall before more and called out for me. It was a breathtaking sight. Nara told me stories of the forest and It was said that the waterfall was enchanted by a powerful fairy queen, who had imbued it with a sparkling, ethereal glow.
As we approached the waterfall, the sound of the water cascading down the rocks grew louder and more enchanting. The mist from the waterfall was so thick that it seemed almost like a veil, hiding the waterfall from view until we were upon it.
As the veil parted, the waterfall was revealed in all its splendor. The water sparkled and shimmered as it fell, as if thousands of diamonds had been cast into the stream. The sun’s rays danced and played on the water’s surface, creating a rainbow of colors that was truly mesmerizing.
That fairy queen did a very good job.
“Quick Camille, let’s get the Silver Fish Bones and Blue crystals”, Nara instructed as we set to work.
These were the two ingredients we needed for the potion Nara was going to make for me. They both appeared randomly in the waterfall. After much of looking, we found as much as we needed and wrapped it up, putting them into our bag.
We looked around the forest for a little bit and then I asked for us to go back as I needed to get back home in time for the war. Finally we left Mystic Falls and got back to the house.
Nara took the ingredients to her space, like where she performs her magic and stuffs like that. She got some more ingredients that she already had, adding it to the ones we got from the Ridge Forest in Mystic Falls.
I watched her as she melted the Blue Crystals and Silver Fish Bones, mixing them both together in her Cauldron. She added the Ingredients she got from the house and after a few spells cast and all, it was ready. She poured the Liquid in a small bottle and handed it over to me.
“It will make him weak in no time”, she told me smiling at her perfection.
“I’m really grateful Nara and I’m really glad we met. I do hope you will come visit us one day, it will also make Aunt Zara very happy you know” I told her, my aim to convince her. I would love to have her around.
“Of course I will little cousin and now , I have a parting gift for you before you leave” she smirked.
I looked at Nara, trying to figure out what she was talking about and asked her, “What parting gift?”.
