CHAPTER SEVENTY TWO

Book:Claimed By The Ruthless Alpha Published:2024-5-31

ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
Davina stopped what she was doing as she looked down on the boy’s stomach.
“What are you talking about, there’s nothing….” She was about to say there’s nothing there, when she saw the thing move again and she gasped.
“I suppose you have seen it now. Mind telling me what that might be?” I asked her with my brows up.
“I have no idea Alpha” she said as she moved around thinking and pondering.
“Okay so is there a way to get it out of him?” I asked her, looking for a solution to this problem at hand.
“Let me see” she answered as she checked some books and everything. I stood waiting for her as I also tried to come up with something.
“Here! I found something” she rushed to my side, “and I have the necessary ingredients”.
Davina went to her stove and put it on, placing a bowl pot on it. She started putting different ingredients and chanting some words as she did. I didn’t disturb her in other to avoid confusing her as she went on with what she was doing.
It took some minutes before she was done. The boy was still there unmoving, I only hope he is alive at least.
She then poured the little potion or whatever she had mixed in a cup and brought it to the boy.
“Quick, open his mouth” she told me as I did so. I held the boys mouth open as she poured everything into his mouth, I was glad he made no attempt to throw all out.
After that we waited, nothing was happening and it was becoming frustrating.
“Davina it isn’t working, we have been waiting for sometime now” I raised my voice.
“Do not yell at me Alpha. I am doing everything I can” she barked out angrily.
“My apologies, I didn’t mean to snap” I said sincerely as she nodded and turned to the boy. Suddenly the boy started shaking painfully, he’s whole body was shaking as he started coughing.
“It’s working” Davina confirmed as the boy didn’t stop shaking, then something flew out of his mouth and landed on the floor. It looked like a short snake with pure white body, it was about to run away when Davina said something that killed it and made it burn.
I went to the boy to see if he was okay. The little boy opened his eyes as tears rolled out from them. I quickly untied him as he hugged me tightly, visibly scared.
“It’s alright kid, your safe now” I caressed his back in a soothing manner.
“What’s that on your neck?” Davina asked as she came close to me, touching my neck.
“What are you talking about?” I asked her as I tried to touch my neck but she stopped me. She brought a mirror and showed me what she was talking about.
“What the fuck is that?”, then I remembered the bite and told her about it.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were bitten by the little boy” she questioned as she pounded some leaves in a small mortar.
“I didn’t think it will react like this. It should have healed by now”. I linked my Beta to come get the child , few minutes later he was here and took the child back home.
“Sit” Davina urged as she rubbed some of the leaves she mixed on my neck.
“This will neutralize the poison or any infection caused from the bite” she explained as she rounded up finally.
I thanked her for all her help so far and left. There were other witches but she was far most the strongest.
I went back home, feeling relieved that everything had been sorted out.
And now that talk with Camille. I couldn’t find Camille anywhere when I got into the house so I ordered one of the maids to help me get her.
CAMILLE’S POV :
I was in the library helping myself out with some books. I don’t know if I mentioned finding a library with so many books, I was stunned. Since I had nothing to do I came in here for some peace and quiet and picked up a book to read.
I was enjoying my time alone until a lady came inside, one of the maids and told me the Alpha called for me.
I went to answer him in the sitting room.
“Yes Alpha” I stood at his front, looking at him. Then he stood up and got very close to me.
“Earlier I called you Camille, did you ignore me or is it that you didn’t hear me. But I think you heard me call you” he whispered slowly in a rough tone.
“I didn’t hear you call Alpha” I said softly, avoiding his gaze.
“Look at me Camille, I do not like this behavior of yours. Do not make me do something I will regret” he warned as I looked up at him.
“You have already done lot’s of things to me Alpha” I said strongly, “but I don’t see you having any regrets”.
“You better watch how you speak to me Camille and give me the respect I deserve. Your are nothing and will always be nothing” he said with the aim of hurting me but I have heard those before, it’s nothing new.
I smiled at him, “I am the nothing that saved those kids and helped you Alpha, wouldn’t it be kind of you to rephrase that statement”.
“Just because you did something, doesn’t change who you are. You should be happy that at least you were that useful because to me you are just a waste of space” he smirked.
“And you were grateful this morning to me” I moved away from him as I laughed. A low, dangerous laugh.
“Could your Luna do anything? Did she help in anyway, if not lazing around everywhere” I taunted, still smiling sweetly.
“Do not speak of your Luna that way” he ordered.
“She is not my Luna and she will never be” I pushed back. Alpha Aiden was about to say something when Luna Laila came into the sitting room.
“What’s going on here?” She asked , moving closer to Alpha Aiden.
“Tame your maid” Alpha Aiden said to Luna Laila as he left the room. Her maid? Was that supposed to piss me off?
“What did you do Camille?” Luna Laila came close to me as she asked. I was about to reply her back when I received a slap to my face.
