CAMILLE’S POV :
My eyes flew open and I found myself disoriented and confused.
It took me a moment to realize that someone was shaking my shoulder and calling out to me, trying to wake me up. I turned my head and was met with the face I’ve longed to see, aww and the cutie with her.
I threw my hands around her as I hugged her, careful not to crush both her and the baby.
“I missed you too Camille” Ivy said as she hugged me back. After some seconds, I let go of her as I stared at the beautiful being wrapped I’m here arms.
“Can I hold him?” I asked her as she gave him to me. I was very happy for her.
“When did you get here? Why didn’t you come early?” I asked her curiously.
“My mate and I came along, he wants to get something from this Pack. So while he was busy, I decided to come here and see you guys” she explained smiling, “but he will be here soon and we will have to leave”.
“That’s alright, I’m glad you came and very glad to see the baby finally. I’m sorry I couldn’t come with Miss Clara, I’m sure she explained everything to you” I apologized sincerely.
“I understand, there’s no problem. But he should have let you come” she sighed.
We didn’t have much time to talk but the little time was worth it. Her mate came to pick her and their baby up, I bid her goodbye as I went to the kitchen. It was time for dinner.
The Alpha and his family were having dinner when there was a loud scream that brought shock to everyone.
“What was that?”.
ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I saw a woman running towards the dining room. She was panting heavily and tears streaked down her face as she called out for me, the guards going after her but I stopped them.
I quickly stood up going to her, I was surprised as the woman ran towards this direction. She stumbled towards me, her knees buckling as she fell to the ground at my feet.
“Alpha,” she sobbed, “they’ve taken my child. Please, you have to help me.”
My expression softened as I knelt down beside her. I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and spoke in a gentle voice. “Tell me what happened.”
The woman looked up at me, her eyes filled with despair. “I-I don’t know. I came home from work and my son was gone. I’ve searched everywhere, but I can’t find him”.
“Alpha there’s a huge problem” my Beta linked me before I could say anything to the woman.
“Guards help this woman up and careful to her house” I ordererd the guards as I looked at her, ” go with them, I’ll get your child back”.
“Alpha” Liam called out again, “I’m on my way” I told him as I informed my mum and Luna that there was a problem that’s need to be taken care of you.
“What’s wrong?” I asked Liam, as I caught up with him outside.
“Five kids are missing from the pack Alpha, different families” he explained breathing heavily.
“How is that possible?” I asked him, how will children just up and go like that.
“I don’t know Alpha but the witches, they are going to help us understand what’s happening because one of them tried to fight what came and took the kids but it was too late” he explained as we started good over to where the witches stayed in our pack.
The witch’s house was a bungalow with ivy growing up the walls, giving it a warm and inviting appearance. The windows were adorned with flower boxes filled with colorful blooms, and a small garden filled with herbs and vegetables surrounded the house.
As we approached, I could smell the fragrant scent of rosemary and lavender wafting through the air. It was a stark contrast to the dark and foreboding image I had had in my mind of a witch’s lair.
The witch greeted us at the door with a smile and invited us inside. The interior of the house was cozy and comfortable, with a fireplace crackling in the corner and the smell of baking bread filling the air.
The witch led us to the kitchen, where she offered us a seat at the table and poured us a cup of tea. I couldn’t help but feel at ease in her presence, despite her reputation as a powerful witch. Her name is Davina, very powerful witch in deed, with lots of acts that was quite amazing.
At first the witches didn’t want to stay with us werewolves, when they were brought here but now I guess they are used to it and don’t mind.
As we chatted, I couldn’t help but notice the various trinkets and potions scattered around the house. There were jars filled with strange ingredients lining the shelves, and a cauldron simmering on the stove.
The witch explained that these were the tools of her trade, used for spell-casting and potion-making.
One of the walls was covered with books of ancient spells and incantations, and then I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the power contained within those pages.
I think Davina noticed my fascination and offered to let me take a look, showing me some of the spells she had learned over her many years of practice. As I looked around, Devina filled me on what have today with the children and how she tried to stop it but it was too late.
As she spoke, despite the fact I was moving around, I was paying perfect attention. I also noticed the symbol of a pentagram carved into the wooden floorboards, a sign of a magic circle that witch’s uses to cast powerful spells.
I also saw a small alter with candle and ritual tools like athame, chalice and wand on it, a sign of dedication to some specific deities or energies that she invoked during her spellwork and other things I couldn’t explain myself.
“It’s going to be a very strong fight Alpha” she said lastly as I turned and faced her.
“Why Davina? can’t we just get the children back?” I asked as she shooked her head.
“Why? Because the Hollow is back”.
