When he uttered that name, I hurriedly raced upstairs to get a dress. I took everything out of my cupboard and examined the long, out-of-date gown.
“AHHHHHH!!!”
When I saw my backless garment, I shouted and leaped for delight. This was Winter’s prom present to me because there was no alteration in my physique, and it still fits this day.
I dashed into the bathroom and jumped in the shower. I went outside to get dressed and sought my red stilettos. I simply brought a black backless dress, scarlet stilettos, and a handbag. In Paris, I selected the most expensive perfume I’d ever purchased and almost sprayed it all over myself. It smells like coffee and is not overpowering. I almost slipped on the steps as I rushed out the door.
I went to -I don’t know the name. Since last night he has been here I have not been able to get his name. He’s been inviting me on a date but he hasn’t introduced himself to me yet. I raised an eyebrow when he covered his nose as if I smelled so bad. I just didn’t pay attention to his reaction when I arrived.
“Anyway, what’s your name?” It was too casual for me to ask him. I have no enthusiasm and look like a withered vegetable.
He scowled, maybe because of what I asked. What should I do? I think Daddy didn’t introduce him or he didn’t introduce himself. In the end, all he did was answer my query.
“I am Cole Salander .” he hug the bento boxes hugged so tightly that you believed he’d lose them. No matter how hard I try, he appears to be a nerd in school.
“Anyway Cole, we have to leave and probably your sister will be bored waiting for us.” I gave him a fake smile and then pulled him out. I already have a plan on how to make up for Tustin for what he did to me last night. I can’t wait to see him. Well, I’m not sure if that will work but I hope it will be effective somehow.
When we exited the front entrance, his car was waiting for us. It will only be discharged through the main gate. I’m simply curious why he had to put the bento boxes in when he can just leave them in his car. Another question is, why did he bring a driver? Is he incapable of driving?
I got in the car first, rather than just thinking about the questions in my head. I concentrated on how I would deal with Turstin later because he may be with his girlfriend. My objective would have been to make him jealous to find out whether he had feelings for me, but if he was with his girlfriend, I think I got the answer straight immediately. Cole took a seat next to me.
We had about a half-hour until we arrived at our destination. If Cole hadn’t just touched me, I wouldn’t have realized we were here; my mind raced with ideas of how I might pull off what I was planned.
Of course, I’ll begin by demonstrating that I’m with someone else. I slid my hand around Cole’s waist, and he wrapped one of his hands around mine. I brought the Bentos, so he was taken aback by what I did. He was flabbergasted by what I did. Because I was holding his waist, he was unable to walk. It’s as though I’ll be the guy between the two of us.
“Really?!”
The woman seated on the cloth where they were carrying the meal laughed aloud. Turstin was also seated there, which irritated me more. They didn’t even notice us when we walked in.
I angrily placed the bento boxes on their fabric. I untied the bento then took the cloth and laid it next to them. The woman looked at me because of the violence of my actions that she might think I would ruin something. I also looked back at her then rolled my eyes.
“Ava. Can we go there?” Cole grabbed my dress then pointed to the far part.
“Why do we have to go there? I thought it was a double date?!” I couldn’t help but raise my voice. My heart aches because of how he manages to laugh with another woman if only last night he invited me to have sex with him.
“It’s a double date, that doesn’t mean we don’t have to be alone.” the lady said as she reached Turstin to give him a pizza. Turstin didn’t seem to be paying attention to what he was saying, and it appeared that she didn’t care that I was now in front of him. The way he pretended as if he didn’t know who I was.
“Fine!” I gathered all the boxes once more and moved ahead of Cole.
I positioned the cloth under the tree so that I could still see the two of them and they could see the two of us. I opened the bento box and took the chopsticks as soon as I sat down. I noticed some dumplings inside and decided to take them. Cole looks at me as though I’m giving in to all I desire. I pat the area beside me to signify that he should be seated next to me. He pointed to himself, but because he was so sluggish, I just rolled my eyes.
I adjusted the gaze on Turstin and myself before putting the dumplings in Cole’s mouth. As he chewed it, I smiled at him.
“Does it taste good?” I also took a tissue to wipe his lips even though there was no dirt there.
As he chews he nods as well. After casting spells he spoke. “Of course it will be delicious because it was made by our maid. They are good at cooking.” It’s like he’s a child who is proud while my reaction is like disgust that I can’t explain.
I turned to look for Turstin and Cole’s sister. I also noticed her giving him something I couldn’t see. Turstin raised his head to look at me, but I averted my gaze. I don’t want to appear envious of that woman. I threw away the bento box and chopsticks because I was hungry.
It seems that he has no feelings for me. I merely appear to be making an effort on the guy who isn’t looking at me no matter what I do to pay attention to him. I rose and prepared to go when a man showed up in front of me. Cole simply sat and concentrated on his photography. I don’t understand folks who are younger than me.
The man smiled at me but I narrowed my eyes so I could see him better. His body is like Turstin’s but he looks a bit younger. When I realize who it is I jumped up and lifted in ecstasy. He picked me up and turned me around.
It’s Bryan! My cousin! Daddy never told me he was coming back now. Cole seems to have a world of his own because he no longer notices us. I didn’t even look back to where Turstin was because my eyes might just hurt from what I could see. My cousin took me down, he messed up my hair while we were still laughing.
“How long have you been back!” I slapped his arm because I didn’t want to lose my joy. I also lost in my brain what I brought here when he asked me to leave there. I didn’t say goodbye to Cole anymore because he seemed to be drowning in what he was doing.
“Just now. I just got from your house, your daddy said you’re here. Luckily, when I came down and saw you sitting right away!”
We were now heading to his car, with his hand on my back to cover what could be seen behind me. He doesn’t want me to dress like this so maybe I’m used to wearing pants and a T-shirt but of course I still wear them in fashion.
“What are you doing here? You don’t like places like this.” As soon as he said those words a hand-pulled hard on me. It was as if I had just come back to the reality that Bryan was a bit far away from me. Even he seemed stunned by what had happened.
“Ouch!” My back hit the trunk of the tree hard due to the excessive force of pushing me. It was as if my back had been injured from the trees protruding from there. I just close my eyes in pain because it looks like someone hit it.
“Are you like that? If you don’t get one, will you jump right into the other?” I heard Turstin’s bitter voice but my brain didn’t seem to be able to process what he was saying because the pain in my back was more dominant than mine.
“The first is for me, the next is for Cole, and now you have something new that you just met. What ?! Where will he take you? In the hotel?!” I didn’t let him say anything else because I stepped hard on the sensitive part of his body. Looks like that’s what he needs to get his attention to what he’s saying.
“I was right to turn down your offer last night. That’s right, it’s like losing your lust in your body.” I didn’t show anger and I was hurt. I steady my voice so that it doesn’t break. I never thought I would hear those words from him in the crowd. If to others I might receive more.
Until I got back to my cousin I didn’t shed tears in my eyes. I didn’t show my bleeding heart.
“Who is that man?” He looked behind me to confirm if Turstin was still following but his gaze returned when he saw that it was no longer behind me. I smiled at him sadly. The butterflies were so miserable that their companion died. Because I don’t want to just lie down and hurt my cousin.
“Let’s go! Let’s indulge in wine and alcohol!”
I say that because I will take courage. I take enough mastery to say that the ones I didn’t say to Turstin out loud were pouring rain. That was the latter.
