Chapter 665 Trouble Again?

“Absolutely delightful.” Beside Isabella Turner in the office, who just made a phone call, her face had a rosy hue as she let out a sigh, her heart beating a bit faster.
She had been bullied by those people for too long. The company had been under constant pressure. The more she relied on Lorelei, the more she betrayed her, making her feel even more suppressed.
But now, she finally vented her frustration and gave them a taste of their own medicine. As for what would happen later, she didn’t care anymore; she would deal with the present first.
“Boss, hooray, you’re truly amazing.” Isabella Turner let out a sigh of relief when she saw that the other party couldn’t afford to mess around anymore.
She headed to the lounge where Robin Bailey was seated, smiling cheerfully. The more she looked at Robin Bailey, the more she appreciated him.
As for whether they would win against Hadden White in the future, she couldn’t say, but for now, she could say that she adored Robin Bailey. Of course, not in a romantic way.
“Is it settled?” Robin Bailey asked, holding a book in his hand.
“Yes,” Isabella Turner nodded.
“We completely crushed the other company. You have no idea, I even called Gavin and Lorelei, and I swear their faces were green with envy. It was just so satisfying.”
Isabella Turner’s face flushed as she mentioned this, but then she paused and added, “By the way, boss, we spent a total of 18 billion. We’ll print out the bills for you later.”
“No need,” Robin Bailey waved his hand. Isabella Turner was taken aback, feeling a sudden surge of emotion.
Although Robin Bailey was the chairman and the funds he injected into the company would eventually flow into his account once the company made a profit, most chairmen didn’t dare to relinquish complete control.
Who knew what tricks others might play-siphoning off a billion here or there. With such a large amount, most people wouldn’t notice, especially with the way he ignored the bills, which could easily allow them to deceive him.
But Isabella Turner wasn’t one to deceive, so this display of trust, in their eyes, was the utmost trust-a deeply moving feeling.
Especially for Isabella Turner, who was rarely entrusted in such a manner, she was deeply touched.
“Boss, I will work hard to make money for you in the future, I swear,” Isabella Turner pledged to Robin Bailey passionately. If Robin Bailey trusted her so much, she must repay that trust by working hard, aiming to elevate the boss even higher.
“Erm…” Robin Bailey raised an eyebrow. Should he tell Isabella Turner that he couldn’t understand the bills, given that he was a military man?
However, seeing Isabella Turner’s enthusiastic eyes, he decided against it. He couldn’t dampen her spirits.
“Alright, keep up the good work,” Robin Bailey encouraged her with a thumbs-up.
“Yes, I will work hard,” Isabella Turner nodded vigorously, feeling a surge of happiness. This was what it felt like to be trusted.
Just as she relished in this feeling, a subordinate approached with news: “Boss, something’s wrong. Avril wants to terminate her contract with our company.”
“What, terminate?” Isabella Turner was taken aback. Stand up and make your way to this lounge. A woman comes in with makeup on, dressed fashionably. Once she catches sight of Isabella Turner, she declares, “President, I want to terminate the contract.”
“Why do you want to terminate now? The next skincare product you are endorsing will be released soon. If you leave, where would we find a temporary replacement?”
Isabella Turner widens her eyes, puzzled. Then, she turns to Robin Bailey and adds, “Boss, this is our company’s spokesperson.”
A spokesperson. Robin Bailey understood what that meant. Most cosmetic companies required a spokesperson who needed to be both beautiful and famous. Avril was that spokesperson, and now she seemed to be walking away.
“Because another company has offered me a higher price,” Avril said smugly.
“We can offer more,” Isabella Turner hastily replied. “Our company recently secured a large injection of funds, we can increase it for you.”
Indeed, the situation was urgent. This sudden departure would render their previous preparations useless, causing significant economic losses. Avril states, “Money is one thing, but I will not endorse a company with a tarnished reputation. Your company has offended the five major families, and sooner or later, it will be doomed. You can’t handle this issue right now; it’s enough to sink you. Even though your company has attracted a large investment, you forgot that the reputation of a cosmetics company is the most important. Once your reputation is ruined, no amount of money will save you.”
With a faint smile, Avril turns and walks away, leaving behind a contractual penalty through her assistant.
As she departs, she remarks, “Farewell, Isabella Cosmetic Limited, whose reputation is about to hit rock bottom. To be honest, it’s a bit regrettable; I’ve been here for so long. But who made you mess with people you can’t afford to offend.”
The moment she leaves, another employee rushes in and says anxiously, “Boss, something’s wrong. Many of our customers are gathered at the entrance, their faces covered in pimples, redness, looking extremely dangerous. They claim our products caused these issues and they are here to cause trouble.”
“And there’s a horde of journalists,” the employee adds.
“What!” Isabella Turner’s expression changes. Avril was right; the most crucial thing for a cosmetic company is its reputation, its brand image.
Once these kinds of incidents occur, their company will be in big trouble. Moreover, she noticed something peculiar-they all arrived simultaneously.
This was the handiwork of the Gavin Group or perhaps a contingency left by Lorelei, who knew a lot about the company.
Otherwise, why would they all arrive at the same time, with so many journalists? This was a threat-a move that would bring about their downfall. Isabella Turner looked to Robin Bailey, seeking his opinion.
“Let’s go, check it out,” Robin Bailey says, leading the way, with Isabella Turner following closely behind. She was aware that she wasn’t the star of the show anymore, nor was she the chairwoman. The real boss was Robin Bailey, so she stuck close to him, letting him take the lead.
Upon reaching the ground floor, they realized the situation was more serious than they had imagined.
Approximately twenty-plus girls were present, their faces covered in acne, pimples, and redness, looking unsightly. Each of them was in tears.
“Your cosmetics have caused harm. Look at my face, it’s ruined. My life is over because of your company.”
“You’re harming people; I’ll smash this company.”
“Isabella Cosmetics, today we will dismantle your brand and demand that you restore my face.”
These girls wailed in distress.
