“Disabling one arm? And then both of my arms? You dare say that, is your brain not working, or you can’t see the situation clearly?” Marmaduke heard this and his eyes showed a hint of killing intent. These people actually wanted to disable them. Quite audacious.
“No mercy. Since he wants to disable us, we will disable them. And, you are the ones who arrested us, opposing the Kisia official, you’re quite bold, you’ve already lost.” Marmaduke immediately pointed. Suddenly, the law enforcement officers rushed towards Robin Bailey and them, but Robin Bailey didn’t move. However, Jeff Reczek did, he smirked, “Stupid fools.” And then, bang, bang, bang. In less than ten seconds, those haughty law enforcement officers who were shouting were knocked down by Jeff Reczek, all clutching their arms and howling in pain because Jeff Reczek had broken their arms.
“Ah!” The screams in the hotel hall grew louder and more frequent, one after another. This completely baffled Marmaduke. These were his men, all skilled. And now, they were gone? It couldn’t be real, could it?
Meanwhile, Jeff Reczek walked towards Marmaduke. The imposing figure made Marmaduke’s legs go weak as he sat on the ground, sweating, “I am the captain of the law enforcement team, a government official. You cannot attack a government official, you are opposing the Kisia official, don’t you understand! The Kisia official!”
“I understand.” Jeff Reczek spat out these words, then continued walking forward. “You know, and yet you still dare to come… stand still… do not…,” Marmaduke struggled. But it didn’t help, with a cracking sound, his hands were disabled. Both hands were broken. Jeff Reczek stood up, clapped his hands, and sneered, “I know, but we are the top authority. Will you dare to oppose us? Or when will you file a complaint against us? Now, do you still dare to say that I don’t dare?”
Robin Bailey sat in his seat, his voice drifted over. Marmaduke’s face twisted in agony and he angrily said, “You… how dare you… you dare… wait till our chief arrives… we will surely make you pay dearly… better dead than alive!”
“Hey, call our chief, tell him we’ve been ambushed,” Marmaduke suddenly looked at the stunned waiter. Among them, only this waiter was unharmed but was visibly shaken. Realizing that he might be next, he immediately took out his phone and dialed, “Sheriff Garraway, trouble at the hotel, Marmaduke, your nephew’s hands have been disabled, he’s in critical condition, hurry over, these three bandits are really audacious…”
He embellished the story when recounting it. After hanging up, the waiter turned to Marmaduke and said, “Sheriff Garraway said he’s coming.” Marmaduke also heard this and erupted into a sinister laughter, blood on his face, “You’re finished… my uncle is coming, you will definitely pay when he arrives, better dead than alive, I mean it, better dead than alive.”
He was filled with murderous intent. He had never experienced such agony before, having both arms disabled. It seemed incurable. For him, this was as good as death. So when his uncle arrived, he would make these people pay.
“Is that so?” Robin Bailey murmured, his eyes showing a hint of interest. He wanted to know who this person behind the scenes was.
“Well, why don’t you run? Good, I like that.” Marmaduke, seeing these people not afraid at all, even opting not to run, felt nothing but pain filling his mind, his eyes red. He wanted to kill these people, to torment them, for daring to treat him this way.
Soon enough, law enforcement vehicles arrived one after another. The leader, a very fat man even bigger than Fatty Wong, approached with his men, kicked over a table, and yelled, “Who harmed my nephew, do you want to die?!”
His eyes burning with anger. This was his nephew, and he wouldn’t let them get away with it. “That,” the waiter pointed at Robin Bailey and them, the only one who still seemed capable.
“You dare, Conrad Reid!” Sheriff Garraway, who was about to erupt, suddenly froze, his eyes widened, a hint of fear flashing through them as he saw the person next to Robin Bailey, having recognized him.
Conrad Reid. The former Western Frontier Guard Commander! A military officer! how could he be here?
“You, bold enough to collude with each other here, combining official and private interests, extorting money, even attempting murder for money. Avery Garraway, are you out of your mind?!” Conrad Reid stood up and shouted. He had been stopped by Robin Bailey earlier to see who the mastermind behind this was.
Avery Garraway had a look of panic; he couldn’t afford to offend this person, but he couldn’t bear the charges either. He quickly straightened up his posture, “You’ve been transferred to the Southern Border, you have no right to interfere with matters in the Western Frontier. Besides, I belong to the Inspection Bureau, not under your military jurisdiction.”
That’s right. Conrad Reid should have been transferred to the Southern Border. The Western Frontier was no longer under his jurisdiction. Avery sighed in relief, he still had a chance at life. As long as he could delay the situation now, he would do whatever it takes to cover it up later and survive. However, Robin Bailey who was sitting on a seat, suddenly spoke up, “He might not be able to touch you, but what about me?” Robin Bailey’s tone turned cold.
“Who are you, how dare you intervene with me? What qualifications, what rights do you have? Huh.” Avery Garraway didn’t recognize Robin Bailey, suddenly mocking, “Some random person showing up.”
“Qualifications, is this enough?” Robin Bailey tossed out a badge. Avery Garraway picked it up, not understanding what this badge meant. He looked at the badge, which had a war character on one side, and mockingly said, “War? What war, do you think you’re a war god?” Opening the other side, he was suddenly dumbfounded, his entire body trembling with fear. A god! Put together, War God!
