“Kalrond, North Coast,” was the message that popped up on Robin’s phone.
Robin’s face finally showed a smile at this time: “As expected, the Harding family wants to flee. Unfortunately, they don’t know that I have a traitor among their clan. North Coast isn’t far from Stillwater. After annihilating the Harding family, I can go back home. I wonder how Leslie’s studies are going without my tutoring. I hope she hasn’t been slacking off.”
In the past, Elise had been too busy and didn’t have time to look after Leslie. The two elderly people at home were already dissatisfied with Leslie, let alone taking care of her. Karen had even forgotten to pick up Leslie once because she was too engrossed in playing mahjong. The girl had to stay at the kindergarten for half the night.
Luckily, the girl had always been sensible and her grades were among the top few in her class. This made Robin very happy but also guilty. The girl had suffered a lot.
“Boss, shall I go with you?” Jeff Reczek walked over and asked.
Everything had been arranged. He was Robin’s deputy and usually followed Robin around.
“It’s up to you. Do you want to go or stay in the barracks?” Robin looked up and asked.
“Of course I’ll follow you, Boss!” Jeff Reczek thumped his chest, “What’s fun about going back to the barracks with those little bunnies? It’s much more exciting following you and facing all kinds of high-level cultivators. This time, I was almost injured. But what a thrill!”
To Jeff Reczek, having a good fight was heaven. No one could rival him in the barracks, except for Robin, of course. Although he was stronger than Rawdan Jefferson this time, when he was up against many generals from South Land, he would have died on the battlefield if Robin hadn’t shown up. But to him, it was really exciting, leaving him exhilarated.
It was better than being with any woman. So to Jeff Reczek, only Robin could provide a good fight, and he had always been Robin’s deputy, following him around.
“You are incorrigible,” Robin shook his head, “Go get the plane tickets. Let’s fly to North Coast today.”
The plan was to secretly go and annihilate the Harding family, so there was no need for a grand procession, or they might startle the snake in the grass or discover there was a traitor among them.
The cunning hare has three burrows. The Harding family wouldn’t have survived so many years with just one base. If they escaped to another base, it would be troublesome. If they suspected a traitor among them, it would be even more troublesome.
“Roger that,” Jeff Reczek replied. But then he added, “Mr. Berger is on his way to Mountland. He wants you to go to Mountland because he has something to give you.”
“Something? The Primus Token, I bet. No, no, no,” Robin waved his hand repeatedly, “I’ve already abdicated. I’m not the Primus anymore. Don’t even think about giving me the Primus Token. After taking out the Harding family, I’m going home to take care of my wife and child instead of being the Primus.”
“Boss, are you serious?” Jeff Reczek was skeptical.
“Of course. No worldly position is more important than my wife and child. I said I’m retiring, so I am. But I’ll still finish what I should do, after all, I was once the Primus,” Robin smiled.
“Understood,” Jeff Reczek left after that.
But he knew that although the Primus Token might not end up in Robin’s hands eventually, everyone in Kisia acknowledged Robin as the Primus. Even if a new Primus was appointed by the higher-ups, no one would recognize him.
There would only be one Primus in their hearts – the Kisia Primus.
Although most cities in South Province were destroyed, some intact ones still existed with functional airports. Jeff Reczek bought tickets for a 3pm flight.
At 3pm, Robin and Jeff Reczek arrived at Operose, ready to go to North Coast. It was just the two of them without any military escort. The troops were still stationed in South Land under Maclean Lyons, and Central Tower had also sent people to take over management there. Robin had nothing more to do with that side.
Plus, Robin’s trip to North Coast needed to be low-profile, solely to annihilate the Harding family. They were a scourge that needed to be eliminated as soon as possible to end this war.
“Move, get out of the way!” Suddenly, several bodyguards in black came out and cleared the way. The crowds were annoyed at first but held back when they saw the entourage.
Best not to offend them.
A woman emerged behind the bodyguards, wearing a tight black catsuit that showed off her figure. She had curly hair that attracted male gazes, delicate features, a cherry-like mouth with lipstick that made people crave her.
The tiny accessories on her were branded, clearly markers of high society. The bodyguards escorted the woman onto the plane where she took the presidential suite.
Clearly, she was from a powerful family.
“Do you know who she is?” Someone asked curiously.
“No idea. Doesn’t seem to be from South Province,” someone shook their head, not recognizing her.
But there were people who did recognize her. “That’s the internet celebrity, Mimi. Search for her online, the motorcycle goddess. You’ll know.”
People immediately searched and exclaimed, “Over 3 million followers! She really is an influencer. No wonder she has such a huge entourage.”
“Influencer? You guys don’t know, I’m from North Coast. Mimi is a big shot there! The daughter of the Beckett family!”
“I know the Beckett family, a powerful family in North Coast,” people chimed in.
Now they understood why she had such a lavish setup – she was from the Beckett family.
“The Beckett family,” Robin’s eyes flashed intrigued.
Soon, Robin also boarded the plane, but he only sat in business class near the back, unlike her taking over the entire first class cabin. After boarding, Robin glanced at the crowd and smiled amusedly.
“How interesting.”
He then pulled a cap over his head and went to sleep.
The plane soon took off. In first class, Mimi was livestreaming to her fans that she was boarding and had to turn off her phone. After that, she sank back into her seat with relief.
She then took out a mirror and started reapplying her makeup. Behind her were three more first class seats occupied by her three bodyguards. She had booked the entire first class just for herself – such luxury.
“By the way, you three, I heard you’re top-notch bodyguards hired by my dad. Reliable? I heard my dad’s rivals have sent many people to kidnap me and threaten him.”
Mimi turned and asked them.
“Don’t worry Miss, I alone can handle a hundred…” One of the bodyguards was boasting but suddenly a bullet hit him in the chest, killing him instantly before he could finish.
