Chapter 452: The War Officially Begins

Outside the villa.
“After Nightowl returned, he stayed inside the house without any abnormalities,” three men perched in a tree, peering through binoculars at Robin’s place, their attention focused. This was Dylan Harding’s assignment for them; they were not allowed to interfere with anything Nightowl did. However, they could prevent any outsiders from entering the premises. They were responsible for reconnaissance.
Underneath them, another squad was in action, ready to receive orders at any time and decide whether to attack. One of the men noticed a mosquito in front of him, swatted at it, but failed to hit it. The mosquito flew away, and he turned to his companion, “I’ve noticed more mosquitoes today than the past few days.”
The area was already infested with mosquitoes, but he felt that today, there were even more than usual.
“I’ve noticed it too, and the worst part is, these mosquitoes seem to have gotten smarter. I can’t even hit them.”
“These mosquitoes, their bites are really painful… painful…”
Before the man could finish his sentence, he began to sway and fell from the tree.
“Hey!”
The other two were startled. What just happened? Why did he fall?
“Action squad, check on him. Why did he fall? Is he dead?” They immediately asked from above.
However, no one responded.
They shouted again, but still no response. Frustrated, they reached for their walkie-talkies, “Hey, action squad, what are you doing? Respond to us. Respond to us. Respond.”
But there was no sound from the walkie-talkie.
“Damn it, what’s going on down there? Let’s go down.”
Both men were slightly annoyed. They couldn’t see the others and thought they might have run off, leaving them alone to be bitten by mosquitoes. Immediately, they prepared to climb down the tree.
But halfway down, one of the men frowned, “These damn mosquitoes, their bites really… hurt… why… do I…”
He too, began to feel weak and dizzy. Then, he too fell from the tree.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
The last man shouted, but there was no response. A bad premonition rose in his heart. He dared not go down and tried to climb back up, but as he did, a triangular-headed snake appeared before him, hissing, looking at him.
“Mother, a snake.”
The man was scared and let go of the tree. As he fell, his face turned pale. The tree was very tall, tens of meters high. Falling from such a height could either kill him or leave him crippled.
However, to his surprise, he landed on two human cushions.
He didn’t die, but it still hurt.
“Ah, it’s you guys.”
After he had recovered, he turned over the two human cushions and recognized the previous two men. But the moment he flipped them over, his face turned white because their faces were purple and their eyes bulged out.
They had been poisoned.
He recognized the signs.
He was a bit stunned, but when he saw the surroundings below, it was more than just being stunned.
Because below him were a pile of corpses. And on these corpses, numerous bugs crawled and munched away-centipedes, ants, insects, all kinds of bugs.
It was like a monstrous feast.
The man was so scared that he wet his pants.
“I’m done. I’m done.”
The man wanted to run, but then he felt something crawling up his leg. He looked down and his pupils constricted, “Mother, a centipede… spare me… spare me.”
He wasn’t James who could tear it off without hesitation. And besides, James was already dead.
Naturally, he was no exception, and in the end, he gradually lost his breath amidst the wailing in the jungle. Shortly after, Robin appeared above, leaving the place. Alison, clad in tight-fighting attire, followed behind. Fighting was more suitable in form-fitting clothes. Of course, this was in the case of women.
Meanwhile, throughout Mountland, earth-shattering changes were taking place. Troops from unknown armed forces were emerging and conducting massacres. One massacre after another. However, they were all aimed at families and powerful groups, not civilians.
From upstairs, Betty Laydon, watching the increasing crowd, deeply furrowed her brows, “Where does this force come from? They have launched an attack ahead of time. Did they receive news of our South Land army coming to Mountland?”
“Captain, let’s not worry about what force it is, let’s go. If we don’t go now, it will be too late. These people, each of them are not simple,” a guard, with a bloody wound on his chest, retreated back.
The most important thing was that there were so many people outside. At least a thousand. They only had a dozen or so, one against dozens, no matter how capable they were, they couldn’t fight anymore. Moreover, these people were not ordinary.
“Don’t panic, wait a little longer,” Betty Laydon raised her hand; she wanted to wait a little longer.
Then, Betty Laydon looked at the people below, swept around, and after seeing a person on the periphery, she frowned, “I understand now, these are Master Lewis’s people. There are people from his organization on the periphery.”
She had the ability to remember faces.
So, just now, she was searching among these enemies for familiar faces. In most of Mountland’s forces, she had met them intentionally or unintentionally, if not, she had seen their pictures. But these people, she had never seen before.
Moreover, they were quite organized, disciplined, and very capable of fighting. Until, finally, she saw a man on the periphery, she realized it was Master Lewis’s people.
“Let’s go. It seems that Primus has turned this Master Lewis. He is willing to help them. I don’t know what he has promised them, they even brought out such an elite unit. This unit is not just these people, there is unrest throughout Mountland, even Matthew Grant is on the run now. We really underestimated this Master Lewis,” Betty Laydon waved her hand, their team had lost more than half, but getting this information in time was worth it.
So it was Louis Berger who took action. Then the previous speculation of Dylan Harding was established. This Kisia Primus really came to tear open a hole in Mountland.
“Dylan Harding, he is quite a capable person,” Betty Laydon smiled at the corner of her mouth. Few people made her feel hard to handle. Now, Dylan Harding was such a person.
“Send a message back to the main camp, there is an uprising in Mountland. The France family of Westland and the underground Godfather Master Lewis, these two forces have taken action. Master Lewis has an elite force of at least ten thousand from an unknown source. At the latest, they will control Mountland by tomorrow. Please hurry, it’s urgent,” Betty Laydon said.
The war has officially begun.
