Chapter 254: Three Sword Style

“Are you ignoring me?” Link was furious, moving the Gatling gun in his hands. However, the next second, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him, clenching his fists and exuding a faint murderous aura. “When my lord speaks, you shut up.” It was Jeff Reczek.
A chill ran down Link’s spine, forcing him to retreat without hesitation. Eventually, he regained his composure with the support of his teammates, but his gaze towards Jeff Reczek was filled with caution. He had thought this would be an easy task, but it turned out to be quite tricky.
At that moment, a group of people in black descended from above. Leading them was a middle-aged man wearing a one-eyed eyepatch.
“Assassin? Since when assassins started working for Kisia?” Robin said with a derisive smile.
“Arrogant!” A man behind spat out.
However, the one-eyed man with the eyepatch waved his hand, “Hold on.”
“My lord,” the man behind wanted to say something else.
But the one-eyed man with the eyepatch spoke, “Mr. X is right. We are indeed working for Kisian people now, regardless of our beliefs. It’s just the way things are. However, Mr. X, you are more formidable than I thought.” He knew what Mr. X meant; they were indeed partners with Walter Wraith, just partners, and not a question of who was in charge.
The assassins had always held themselves in high regard and looked down on their own country. Provoked by Mr. X, it would be easy for them to become hostile towards the country and Walter Wraith. But that wouldn’t do. They were here on orders.
“Interesting. Aren’t you afraid of Primus of Kisia? You dare to meddle in our country’s affairs. Aren’t you afraid of Primus of Kisia paying you a visit?” Robin’s words darkened the faces of the people on the other side.
Ten years ago, their country had always been beaten down by them, but after that, a Primus appeared and suppressed them, and their armies were defeated. Therefore, they were all afraid of Primus. Robin’s deliberate mention of this brought shame and anger to them.
Some people couldn’t help but want to take action, but the one-eyed man with the eyepatch gestured, “Everyone, on my command.” Upon hearing the word “command,” the others stopped and didn’t react anymore.
Then, the man with the eyepatch said to Robin, “Mr. X, we have no stakes in the affairs between the two countries. We are simply here to help Walter Wraith. He paid a large sum of money; it’s just a deal.” He drew the long sword from his body, and a spark of battle flared in his eyes.
“You look serious,” Robin shook his head and then ordered, “Nick, take care of the snipers on the hill. Three snipers, you really think highly of me.”
As soon as his words fell, three gunshots rang out, accurately blocking all of Robin’s escape routes. Unfortunately, Robin didn’t need to escape.
Clang, clang, clang. A bullet ricocheted off a military knife, landing on the ground. Beside Robin, a figure appeared-it was Nick. Then, Nick moved, hiding in the forest. However, everyone knew he was going to deal with the snipers.
“You look serious, as if you respect your opponent, but during our fight, you’d try to limit my moves and let the snipers above shoot my head off, right?” Robin smiled as he looked at the assassin in front of him.
He found out? Link was stunned.
They knew that Mr. X was difficult to deal with, so they had created this battle plan. In case they needed to prove their strength, they would fight him head-on. However, little did they know that there were snipers above.
Not just one, but three. Three top snipers, making escape impossible for anyone. It was a flawless plan. But now it seemed to be exposed directly in front of this man. How could it be discovered?
“And you, the one who practices the Three Sword Style, were you planning to catch me off guard with the One Sword Style during our battle? Were you hiding a trump card? Indeed, people with honest faces tend to have dark hearts,” Robin said.
These words made the assassin’s face change. He had shown no reaction to the previous words because he was confident in his own abilities, and the snipers above were arranged by Walter Wraith, not him. So even without them, he didn’t think it mattered much.
However, now his hidden advantage had been discovered before the battle even began.
“Mr. X, you’ve truly angered me,” the assassin said as he flicked his sleeve, revealing another blade. With two long swords gleaming silver in his hands, his eyes darkened. “My nephew died at your hands last time, and I agreed to this request for his sake. Although I’m not on the Darkboard, I personally taught my nephew’s swordsmanship.”
“However, he hadn’t perfected it yet, not even reaching half of my level before he died in your hands, and you just got a huge bargain.”
He was not lying. He was a renowned swordsman in their country, a master-like figure. The assassin he had trained last time indeed hadn’t reached even half of his level.
“A master?” Robin became interested. He knew that among them were a group of masters who specialized in teaching swordsmanship. These were the true elites, with smooth sword skills, some even achieving the state of unity between man and sword. He didn’t expect to meet one today.
“So now, I want to kill you even more,” Robin said.
“My name is Geoff Williams. I use Three Sword Style.”
“X.”
This was a custom of theirs, to announce themselves before a duel. However, the so-called martial arts they mentioned were sometimes true, sometimes false, like the One Sword Style, used to confuse the enemy.
“Aren’t you going to announce the rest?” the assassin asked.
“I’m afraid it might scare you, so you wouldn’t dare to use your sword,” Robin answered nonchalantly.
“Arrogant!”
This time, the assassin became furious. He was a famous expert in their country, and no one could usually have the honor to meet him. This time he came specifically because of his nephew’s matter, to lend his support. If Link couldn’t handle it, he would step in.
But now, Mr. X was so arrogant, so provocative, claiming that once he revealed his abilities, the assassin would be too scared to use his sword. No one in their country would dare to say such a thing.
Truly arrogant!
“Today, I will definitely cut your head down!” the assassin growled. In the next second, a flash of sword light appeared in front of Robin, slashing swiftly. If it were an ordinary person, they wouldn’t even have time to react.
