Chapter 243: Trouble with Kelly

“Uncle, I really miss him.”
Rain lay on Robin’s chest, crying.
Robin didn’t refuse, but instead hugged the child, saying in a complex tone, “You may cry, but don’t cry too long. When your father faced tens of thousands of enemies alone, he wasn’t afraid, and he didn’t cry. You are Pann London’s son, his legacy.”
After crying for a while, Rain slowly stopped, her eyes somewhat red and swollen. “Really… really?”
“Of course it’s true. Your father was a hero, a great hero,” Robin said with a smile.
“Then will you tell me some stories about my dad, please?”
“Sure. Back in the day…”
Old stories poured out of Robin’s mouth, starting from when he first met Pann London, who was somewhat similar to Lacey Willis, stubborn, and determined to stand by a certain belief even in the face of death.
Later, they joined the army together, fought side by side, and killed countless enemies. They were both seriously injured in the process. Afterward, they both climbed the ranks-Robin became Primus while Pann London became the head of his military punishment department, one of the ten generals of this country, and the subordinate Robin valued the most.
Jeff Reczek might have been more capable as a soldier, but Pann London was more important. Among the ten generals, only Pann London held such importance.
During a battle, Pann London lured the enemy with his own life, allowing Robin to defeat the invading army. However, it was in that battle that Pann London sacrificed himself.
Robin went crazy, personally leading the Eastern Kisia’s 300, 000-strong army, four legions, and wiped out the arrogant, overbearing kingdom with his fury.
The world was shocked.
Primus was so mad!
He brought out the entire nest for one person!
“Um… my dad was great… So… I won’t cry anymore.”
Rain wiped her tears with her hand. Although they had read about General London in their textbooks, he preferred to hear Robin’s stories.
“You have your father’s spirit,” Robin said, patting the child’s head.
“Then I will join the army in the future.”
“You’ll have to train hard and study well. Your father was a top figure in the army, very strong. You have to learn to catch up to and even surpass him.”
“Okay.”
After some comforting, Rain finally calmed down. The death of her father was a great blow to her, but he was a hero.
A hero!
His brave sacrifice was worth it!
“By the way, don’t tell your grandmother about this. I’m afraid she wouldn’t be able to bear it.”
“Okay.”
The two made a promise and went home together. When they got home, Robin noticed that Kelly hadn’t returned yet, so he immediately made a call.
But no one answered.
“Jeff Reczek, find out where Kelly is,” Robin ordered.
“Yes.”
Jeff Reczek also had a cold glint in his eyes. This was his best friend’s daughter, like his own daughter. If anyone dared to hurt her, his explosive temper would make him kill.
He went to find her right away.
Five minutes later, Jeff Reczek returned. “Sir, she’s at the 456 Bar on 8th Avenue.”
“A bar?”
Robin frowned, then said, “Let’s go.”
Boom.
The car sped off.
456 Bar.
Robin got out of the car, looked at the entrance of the graffiti-covered, flashy bar, and felt a bit upset. Did Kelly come here on her own, or was she forced?
Regardless, Robin went in. Inside, there were steel poles with women dancing on them, and a group of weird looking men and women dancing wildly below.
The atmosphere was intense.
This place was meant for relaxation.
“Find her.”
Robin gave Jeff Reczek and Nick a signal. There were many private rooms in the bar, and they had to search them one by one.
“Yes.”
The three of them split up.
In one of the private rooms, Kelly was wearing a waiter’s uniform, with a red handprint on her face, cowering in a corner.
“Kelly, come on! Serve Mr. Dalton! What’s wrong with that? This is your job,” a middle-aged woman in the room was trying to persuade her.
On the sofa, there was a middle-aged man in a suit and leather shoes, with a hint of dominance on his face. He was seated with a woman on his left and another on his right, both quite young.
“This is not my job. I came here to be a waiter. You said I’d only be responsible for serving tea and pouring wine,” Kelly said stubbornly, yet somewhat weakly.
“Waiter? Haha, a waiter and you get paid 8, 000 a month? You must be dreaming,” the middle-aged woman scoffed.
Her name was Elizabeth Warner, the lobby manager of this bar.
“You need to understand, being a waiter outside earns you only 3, 000 a month. I’m offering you 8, 000 because of your good looks. Isn’t it your job to accompany Mr. Dalton? Besides, you earn 2, 000 more each time. If you accompany him a few more times, you’ll earn tens of thousands in a month.”
“Don’t you know the situation of your own family? Your mother is dead, your father has been missing for years on the so-called battlefield, your grandmother’s health is getting worse, and your brother’s school fees? Don’t you want to take care of them?”
Elizabeth Warner was very persuasive. After all, many young girls in the bar had willingly gone to work after being convinced by her. She would always investigate their backgrounds before recruiting them.
Her targets were beautiful, innocent girls from difficult family backgrounds. As long as she reasoned with them, offered them enough money, and used strong measures to break them down the first time, they would gradually get used to and accept this job.
Kelly was a particularly special case. Her family was in dire straits, her grandmother’s health was poor, their home was about to be demolished, and her brother was in school. As for her parents, they were practically dead.
All the burdens were on this young girl in her early twenties, so Elizabeth Warner was confident that she could turn this beautiful girl into a money tree under her control.
“Mrs. Warner, why bother with such a big speech? Does she have a choice? Anyway, many women before her have been like this. As long as they lose their first time, they will gradually accept it afterward,” said Mr. Dalton, standing up and walking towards Kelly.
There was a fiery look in his eyes. This woman was indeed beautiful, no wonder Elizabeth Warner had been keeping an eye on her. But her first time would belong to him.
