“What will happen if I refuse?”
Robin slowly stood up.
“Refuse? Humph!” the man with an ear stud snorted.
Inwardly, he told himself the plot had been correct finally. Therefore, he decided to hit Robin before he was willing to give them the money obediently.
He used to do it many times.
Therefore, he was ready to hit Robin.
“You do have a death wish, then.”
The man with an ear stud was excited, waving his baseball bat. It whistled in the air. Tilting his head, he asked, “Give it to me or not?”
“Ehn.”
The man with an ear stud was taken aback as Robin suddenly appeared right before him while pinching his neck. The next second, he was lifted.
Immediately, the man with an ear stud couldn’t breathe at all, his eyes popping.
“Give me 100, 000 dollars or not?” Robin asked, pinching his neck with only a hand. His other hand was still behind his back.
“Boss!” the gangsters yelled.
However, none dared to fight against Robin. The man with an ear stud was their leader, 6’2″, tall and sturdy. He weighed almost 180 pounds.
Even if all the gangsters on the scene united to fight against him, they would lose.
However, the young man lifted their boss with a hand easily. Therefore, they realized they had provoked a tough nut to crack.
“Argh… Let go… of me…”
The gang leader repeatedly struggled.
“Do you refuse?”
Robin tightened the pinch.
“Let… go… I… I will… I will..”
In the end, the gang leader rolled his eyes, almost suffocated.
Robin loosened his hand.
“Bang!”
The man with an ear stud fell to the ground. His eyes lit up again as if he had returned to life. He gasped desperately for breath.
“Want to try again?”
Robin squatted down, tilting his head.
“I’ll give it to you… You are the boss…”
The gang leader was startled. His eye pupils constricted in fear. He wouldn’t doubt if the evil man wanted to kill him earlier.
He returned the bank card to Robin and fumbled all his pockets. Then he searched all his men’s pockets and gathered 60, 000 dollars in total.
“Mister, we only have 60, 000 dollars in total. That’s all our savings. Can I give you the rest the next time?” he said in a crying tone.
He feared Robin would pinch him again, looking timid.
“Remember. You still owe me 40, 000 dollars. Fuck off!”
The man with an ear stud staggered and crawled to escape the scene immediately, his face full of fear. So did his men.
Robin went to the mid-aged man, looking down at his miserable face. “Stand up. I’ll help you,” he sighed.
Robin squatted down to pick up the red potatoes for him.
“Ehn.”
The mid-aged man dusted the dirt and stood up. Lowering his head, he said, “You cannot kill me now, General Bailey.”
“Kill you? Why should I kill you, Nick Abel?”
“Didn’t you come to kill me after finding my whereabouts?” Nick muttered, feeling surprised.
“I’m not THAT idle.”
Robin rolled his eyes at him.
After helping him sort out the red potatoes, Robin glanced at Nick. “Have a drink, shall we?”
“I’m poor.”
Nick fumbled in his pockets and failed to find a penny.
“It’s on me.”
Robin felt helpless. Instructor was a well-known killer from Darkboard, but he lived on selling red potatoes and looked poor, suffering from poverty.
They put away the red potatoes and found a street stall to sit down. Robin ordered some barbecue skewers and two bottles of iced beer.
“Your preference hasn’t changed, right? Can you eat those things?”
Robin looked at Nick.
Nick was tongue-tied as Robin didn’t ask him for his preference earlier.
However, it didn’t change, so Nick shook his head and answered, “No. Still the same.”
“Good.”
Robin studied Nick. He seemed homeless, wearing shabby clothes on which the gangsters’ footprints remained. He looked too miserable to be like one of the most competent fighters under Robin’s leadership.
When Nick was on the mission to assassinate Robin, he fought for Kisia in many battles, killed countless foes, and contributed to Easter Forte many times.
He was one of the ten most competent fighters under Robin.
Therefore, Robin knew him well, including his preference for food. Sometimes, Robin treated his subordinates strictly, and sometimes he was easygoing. They often got drunk together.
In the past, Nick was promoted from a soldier to a field officer within one year, so he attracted much attention domestically and internationally.
However, as a professional killer, Nick had never forgotten to assassinate Robin. Unfortunately, he failed as Primus was way too competent.
“Don’t you want to kill me?”
Nick looked up at Robin a while later.
“Why should I?”
“I almost killed you back then and left you the scar on your chest. If you were not too alert, I would have succeeded already. Once I had, Kisia would have been destroyed soon.”
Nick didn’t brag.
Back then, Kisia wasn’t powerful. There were also many internal conflicts within the country. If Robin hadn’t risen fast, sorted out the border armies, or won against the enemy countries, Kisia would have been gone a few years ago.
“Honestly, it hurt a lot when my subordinate betrayed me.”
Robin stroked his chest, on which the scar that started from his neck to his lower abdomen. Countless generals from foreign countries wished to end his life but failed. However, Nick almost had achieved the goal.
It was life-threatening indeed.
Suddenly, a waiter served two bottles of beer to them. “Excuse me. Here’s your iced bear.”
“Cheers! Let the bygones be bygones.”
Robin raised a bottle generously.
“You are more generous than I’ve thought, General Bailey.” Nick also raised the other bottle, wearing a silly smile Robin hadn’t seen for years. He looked like a migrant worker working on a construction site at that moment.
In fact, he was a famous killer worldwide.
Their bottles clinked. Robin took a sip and put it down. “In fact, I’m still angry. I had high expectations of you back then. Just now, I noticed your leg and realized you still suffered from the old injury. It also caused your other old sickness to break out, right? You are almost disabled. Alas…”
“Why are you hiding here? Got married?”
