After announcing their presence, the queen’s voice came out, asking the man to come in. Daphne pushed the door open, and the man called Sir Roger walked in.
“My queen” Sir Roger greeted her, he lowered his head.
The queen came out from the inner chamber, with a smirk on her face, he found a place to land her buttocks until she acknowledged the man’s presence.
“Did the king believe in your statement?” The first thing that came out of her mouth was, neglecting to greet him.
“Yes my queen, he believed everything I said to him, moreover the rumors, helped a lot,” He said.
“Hmmm, Good then” The queen muttered with a grinning expression.
“But my queen, I’m curious about something,” He asked.
“What is it?”
“I don’t seem to understand why you asked me to cover up for the king’s concubine, you said you wanted her to suffer, yet I covered up for her,” He asked. He knitted his brows, confused, waiting for the answers.
A grin brushed her lips, she looked at the man with a smile, she waved to him, asking him to come closer, signaling to him that the answer was confidential.
“I have three enemies inside the Palace, I discovered two-concubine Xena, and the maid, but the maid will help me to uncover the third person, for her to do it, I have to portray myself as her savior. Afterward, I will discard her,” Nneka explained.
“You are smart like your father,” Roger hyped her with a smile on his face.
“Hmmm! Her father’s daughter”
“I want you to prepare yourself, in three days, the king will call for you, then you will tell the king about the concubine friends, and don’t forget to let the king know that she made you lied against the maid”.
She said in a calm voice, and her eyes stayed glued, watching the panic on sir Roger’s face.
“You don’t need to be afraid, I won’t allow the king to hurt you” The queen ended.
“With due respect, my queen, I can’t do it. The King won’t hesitate to slaughter my head if the king found out I lied to him” He said.
“Why are you sounding as if you haven’t lied? I gave the king one week, he will find out that you lied. What did you think would happen, if he found out?” The queen taunted him, but he wasn’t affected by it, he was afraid of facing the king.
“I would prefer to die at home than to face him again” He remained adamant.
Seeing how he was reacting in her presence made Nneka boil with anger. She hated it, when people are afraid of other people, but not her.
She took a cautious and slow stride towards him, she raised his chin and her piercing gaze penetrated him.
“Are you afraid of king Malik? Yet, you are afraid of what I’m capable of. What if I tell the king how you have been selling his country’s information to other countries? Or do you want me to tell him that you are the reason the late king died”?
Nneka said with a menacing glare. After she withdrew her hand, she knew her information had been passed down.
Instantly, Sir Roger’s ankle landed on the ground.
“It’s an honor to serve you, my queen, you are just the way your father called you. I’m at your service in this kingdom,” The man said and bowed to her three times repeatedly.
“Good. I want you to gather every information about the king’s brother, I heard he is planning to rebel against the king, also I want you to stop sending information to my father for now until I say so”.
Queen Nneka said, and she strode down to her seat.
“Okay, My queen. Is that all?” He asked, and the queen signaled him to leave.
Just as he stepped outside, he looked around, wanting to survey if there was anyone around. When he met with silence, he walked away.

Aurora was thrown inside the royal prison, she looked around, admiring the prison, it was so different from the dungeon the king wanted to send her.
The difference between the prison and the royal’s room was the imprisonment.
She slumped on the bed and buried her head inside the pillow, thinking of the king. She smiled as she recollected how the king changed his decree.
Likewise, she giggled inwardly, she was happy that the king knew her thoughts, she was always surprised whenever this side of her surfaced. An assassin excited after a man sent her to prison, it sounds not like her.
“No wonder, they said love is childish” She muttered. Yet, she was smiling continually, forgetting she was in detention.
A fast-approaching footstep coming closer to the prison penetrated her ears, she halted her smiles and looked towards the entrance, wanting to sight the person, but she sensed the footsteps to be someone close to her.
She jumped as her sight caught Morena’s shadow
“Ma” She called happily, making Morena dumbfounded.
“I thought you would be crying, I guess you are unpredictable,” v said.
“The king asked his right-hand man to bring me to the royal prison, can you believe that?” she said excitedly, smiling as if she had won the lotto.
Morena wanted to rebuke her, but seeing her mood, she refrained; rather she allowed her to enjoy the moment, even though the happiness might disappear in the next five minutes.
“I’m delighted ma” am, I asked the king in my thoughts, and he did it exactly as I wanted it”
“Can’t you see there is a connection between us?” She said, and Moreno only nodded her head to the explanation.
Some minutes later, Morena saw that she had come down. She brought out a scroll and gave it to her. She hesitated before collecting it until Morena told her it was from the king.
“Okay” She collected joyfully, wanting to read it instantly. She unfolded the scroll, and her eyes traveled down to it.
To you murderer. I allowed you there because I thought you might disclose the truth. I’m giving you until tomorrow morning, tell me the truth, or else I will tell the guard to show you around the city for three days as the late king’s killer.

Earlier, when Morena went into the king’s chamber, the king gave her the letter to give Aurora. He didn’t want Aurora to think that he saved her, he was ready to cause her pain if she didn’t tell him the truth.
He seemed not to forget Aurora with his father’s dead body. Anytime he wanted to forgive, the image popped out, making him want to hurt Aurora instantly.
He had thought Aurora wasn’t the killer. Her silence over his father’s death made him conclude that she knows something, moreover, he met an arrow in her hand that day, it was an arrow that was used to kill his father.
Morena tried to beg the king on her behalf, but he shunned her.
“What are you going to do?” Morena asked in a teary voice. Seeing the new expression on Aurora’s face made her eyes teary.
“I didn’t lie to the king, if only there was one person that understands French, maybe that person can save me,” Aurora said, tears gathering in her eyes instantly.
“What of that librarian?” Morena screamed as she recollected him.
“I’m not convinced, he is good at French. He said only the basics that day and isn’t fluent in his mouth, but we can still try him”. Aurora sounded like someone who refused to give up.
“Let me go and find him,” She said, wanting to turn around, Aurora stretched her hand and touched Morena.
“Please go and inform the Queen about it, she might be able to lend me help,” She said, but Morena gave her a confused look.
“The queen, are you okay?” She asked her.
“Just trust me ma” am, she will help me,” She said and Morena rushed out, wanting to go and find the librarian guy.
