The next day.
Samantha’s POV
I woke up feeling Kayden’s hot breath on me. I smiled gently and pulled away from him hoping I would not wake him up but I did anyways.
“Where are you off to?” He asked, opening up his eyes.
“Do you ever truly sleep?” I grumbled and he chuckled.
“I don’t think you ever sleep too.” Cara replied me.
“But I am better than he is.”
“I was really careful in waking up and I made sure my movements were very quiet.” I said to Kayden and he got off bed, walking to me.
“My entire world was leaving my side, how wouldn’t I have noticed that?” He asked me and I blushed slightly.
“C’mon, you really do have to flatter me so much?” I asked him and he kissed my forehead.
“I am. just telling the truth.” he replied and I wriggled out of his grip.
“What do you want to eat?” I asked him with a smile, wrapping my hands around his neck.
“What I want to eat…. Perhaps you… Over again.” he said with a smirk and slowly closed the gap between us to kiss me but I pushed his lips away.
“This morning you eat real food first, understood?” I asked him and he grumpingly nodded.
“Good.” I commented and ruffled his already ruffled hair before walking out of the room.
I looked around the surroundings of the mansion and a smile parted my lips.
“This place is great.” Cara said to me.
“It really is, I just do not want to tell it to Kayden that I would actually prefer us living here, this place holds much more for us.” I replied Cara.
“Should I tell Jay then?” Cara asked excitedly.
“Hey! Don’t you dare tell him yet. I don’t want it to seem like I am trying to separate him from his family and others that have always been with him right from the start.” I said to Cara.
“Okay, just for now then… I would not tell him for now.” She replied me and I pushed open the door of the kitchen.
I checked out the ingredients in the refrigerator and immediately decided upon what to cook. My mind wanders off to James and even though I knew that we would soon be going back home and see him there but I could not wait, I wanted to ask him how things was going on with him and Cassie and I was hoping for a good news.
I pickedmg phone from the pack pocket of my dress and dialed his contact, he picked up at the third ring.
“Hey James.” I said immediately he picked the call.
“Hey.” he replied but his voice sounded very low and downcast, an evident that Cassie was still pushing him away.
“I.. I would not ask since it is quite visible from your voice.” I said to him.
“Thanks, I… I kinda tried all what I could do, I tried my best to make her happy, make her feel my sincerity and my love for her but she doesn’t seem moved.” he replied me.
“I am sure she is very touched by your actions but she is just trying to put up a tough font… Just persist James, you are not going to give up, right?” I asked him.
“You very well know how much I love and cherish her there is just no way I can give up on her.” he replied me.
“Great! I should not have asked that question, it was stupid of me, I would make sure I talk to Cassie.” I said to him.
“Thanks for all your help, I really do appreciate you and Alpha Kayden’s help even with the fact that you are very very busy at the moment.” he said to me.
“It’s nothing at all…. okay, I would be ending the call right now” I said and ended the call.
Kayden’s POV
“You know you are not romantic at all?” Jay asked me and I rolled my eyes.
“How in the world am I not romantic? Mantha blushes every now and then at my words and actions.” I replied him.
“Oh and that’s all.” he snickered.
“What do you even know about romance Jay?” I asked him.
“Better than you know.” he replied.
“If you want to give a relationship boosting advise or tip just go on and give it instead of simply beating around the bush and telling me stuffs.” I said to him.
“Where is Mantha right now?” He asked.
“Can you not ask me things that you also know? She went to the kitchen.” I groaned.
“And in the kitchen, should she be alone? As human, you should know better that the kitchen is a great place to bond.” he replied me.
“You could have simply said that all these while.” I grumbled and got up from where I was seated.
“Here I go.” I mumbled and walked out of the room with my phone in my right hand.
“You really have to walk so slowly?” Jay asked and I cackled.
I ignored him and walked to the kitchen, I stood by the door and listened to Mantha calling on someone, from the conversation, I could easily find out that she was talking to James over the phone.
She did not seem to notice or scent me out due to the fact that she was on the call and her attention to the scent around was divided, she turned to look at me when she dropped the phone and I flashed her a bright smile.
“Why are you here?” She asked me with a smile on her face too.
“Here to watch you cook, I think that has to be super cool.” I replied her.
“So I look cool only when I cook?” She asked me.
“No, I think you always look cool, you look cool everyday and everytime, in the bathroom, on the bed, in the kitchen, you always do look good.” I replied her.
She was about to give a response when my phone rang, I raised it up to my eyesight and checked the caller ID, it was my Dad.
I picked the call and raised it to my ears.
“Hey Dad”
“Hey son, guess what? The bus you were so much looking for has been found.”
