Kayden’s POV
I walked over to where the register for the party was and let my eyes scan it through. All that had attended were very much and I knew that finding out about each of them would be quite hard to do but then what in the world could be hard for me when I controlled so much?
I took the register back to my room.
“Hey Mantha, I got the register, I was thinking that I could get a check on each of them’s names, get a picture of them all and have you pick the one you saw yesterday,” I said to her but she did not say a single word.
“Mantha?” I called through a mind link.
“Don’t talk to me,” she replied through the mind link and ended the mind link.
I dropped the register that was in my hand and walked up to her, she was laying on my bed. I pulled her up but she looked sideways.
“What’s wrong? How did I offend you?” I asked her, quite confused as to what I did in just minutes that had annoyed her already.
“Who is she?” She asked and brought out a picture, it was the picture of Diane that I had kept in my drawers.
It had always been there but recently, I had not been looking at it because I now had Mantha.
“You know ladies do not like seeing things like that,” Jay said to me.
“I completely forgot,” I replied Jay.
“Now explain?” She requested.
“Actually Mantha, that is…. that is Diane,” I replied her.
“Diane? You love her more than you love me? You have no pictures of me in your room but you have hers.”
“She was my first love but swears you are the one I love now, I had just forgotten to have it changed with yours,” I replied her.
“Your first love….” She mumbled and I could feel her doubt and sadness.
I wrapped my hands around her.
“The truth Mantha is that I loved her a lot, I did love her but then… She left me, she died.” I replied Mantha.
“H… How did she die?” She asked.
“I have no idea till now Mantha, it was my birthday, I was supposed to announce her as the next Luna but then she died, she…. she died just like that, she was the reason behind my coldness, she was the reason I shut my heart away from the whole world, she was the reason I rejected you because I was afraid that I might lose you too, the fact that my birthday was just on the way scared me even more,” I replied her.
“You… You still love her?”
“All of the love I had for her and even more have now been transferred to you Mantha, even if a miracle happens and Diane comes back to life, I would still choose you over her now. You are the one I love now and if you don’t want me to turn cold as I was before, you have to promise to stay by my side, you saw what I turned into when Diane left? I am going to become worse if you ever dare to leave me.” I replied to her and she cuddled me.
“I would never leave you,” she mumbled.
“Promise me Mantha, you have to stay safe, you have to make sure that death is very far away from wherever you are.”
“I promise you that I would stay out of danger,” she replied and I kissed her forehead.
“So tell me, you were jealous to see a girl’s picture, right?” I asked her.
“I… I wasn’t jealous.” she mumbled shyly.
“Of course you were, you should have seen how annoyed you were even though you looked so cute at that moment that I was thinking more of kissing you than actually asking what was wrong.”
“You are naughty,” she said to me and hit my chest lightly.
I was quite happy that she seemed to have gotten her mood a bit better, I did not want her to worry too much, I would be taking care of everything.
“Because that’s what a capable mate should do,” Jay said to me.
“Yeah buddy,” I replied him.
“Yeah, you wanted to tell me something, right?” She asked, sitting up and I walked to where I had dropped the register book.
I grabbed the book and handed it to her, sitting beside her.
“Here is the list of all of the guests yesterday,” I said to her.
“I don’t know his name,” she said to me.
“I know you won’t, those cunning slave masters would not be so stupid to let you know their names, I am going to get a check run on all of them and then get a picture of each of them, you can pick him out then,” I replied her.
“Sure.”
“I am sorry I had to stress you this much,” I said to her.
“Stress? You are not stressing me in any way… I am perfectly okay and I am glad that I can be of help in ruining those monsters at heart.” she replied and I ruffled her hair playfully.
“Alpha Kayden.” Davis’s voice came as he walked into the room.
“Ready?”
“Ready,” he replied.
“Great, get the Gamma to follow me and get the soldier wolves too,” I said and he furrowed his brows.
“Are we going for a war?”
“We might be having a war,” I replied to him and took the register from Mantha and handed it over to him.
“Get someone to have this list checked out, I want the details of each of those names and their pictures,” I said to him.
“Sure.”
“Mantha, it’s time to go,” I said to her and stretched out my hand to her.
She took my hand and I led her out of the room.
“Where are you both off to?” Dad asked.
“Good Day Dad.” Samantha greeted him.
“Hey, Samantha.”
“We are going to get something done, there is no time to explain right now, I would the explanation once I am back,” I replied to him and walked out pulling Mantha along with me.
I got to the prepared cars and Mantha and I got into the car.
“Move,” I said to the driver and the car started, zooming off into the dark streets.
