Samantha’s POV
I stepped out of the bathroom and found that Kayden had already taken his bath, his hair was wey and dripping giving him that bad boy look
I stared at him adoringly for a moment before shaking my head to get out of the trance that this handsomeness was constantly placing me in.
“You can just continue staring at me, after all, I am all yours and you are all mine.” his voice came.
“Who is yours?” I questioned.
“You, of course, you are my most prized possession currently and… And forever,” he replied.
“You can’t make me blush all the time,” I mumbled.
“Move over here, I will help you in drying your hair.” he offered and I walked over to where he was and sat down between his legs.
He grabbed the hate dryer and dried my hair while I simply kept mute.
“Are you….” The both of us started and we chuckled.
“You go first.” he offered.
“Are you going to work today?” I asked him.
“No, why should I? It’s just the day after my birthday and the day after announcing my mate to the world, I should take a whole lot of rest with you,” he replied.
“Okay.” I grinned.
“The question you were going to ask.” I reminded him and he waved it off.
“Forget about it,” he replied and I frowned and turned to face him.
‘you sure do know that is unfair, right? I asked him.
“You might not like the question I am about to ask,” he replied.
“Ask the question first and leave it to me to decide that,” I said to him.
If he does not tell me, I could just easily ask his wolf side, isn’t it so easy now?
“Are you going to tell me about all about yourself now? Last night, you were given a fake identity, some wolves might have scented you out that you do not belong to the blue moon’s pack,” he replied and maybe he was right.
I should not have probed him further.
Knowing very well that we were bonded now and that he could hear what I was saying with Cara, I decided to keep mute and try as much not to think about anything.
“How about you go out? Just go to work and when you are back, I would tell you all about it, I promise you I would tell you everything you want to know. Just do give me a few hours so I can gather up the courage to tell you all about.” I replied him, getting up from between his legs.
“Promise me that you would do that?” He requested.
“I promise you,” I replied to him readily.
I just needed a few hours to clear off my head and come up with a way to tell him all about all that my life entailed.
This time I was sure that I was making the right decision by deciding to tell him.
“Okay then, I would go off to work,” he replied and kissed my forehead, my both cheeks and then my lips.
I gave him a wide grin.
“You sure do know that you do not need to put up fake smiled anymore,” he replied to me.
He walked to his closet and grabbed a couple of corporate wears and put them on.
“You know leaving you ain’t appropriate,” he said to me.
“We are not even married yet,” I replied to him with a small smile.
“Isn’t that an indirect way of saying… I so much want you to get married to me?” He asked.
“Of course not. Just leave.”
“Okay, see me out,” he replied and I pouted.
“Never knew he could be this clingy,” I said to Cara.
“You know I heard that?” He asked and I groaned.
“What exactly can’t you hear any more?” He asked.
“Nothing” he replied and wrapped his hands around my waist, leading me out of the room.
We alighted the flight of stairs and Kayden led me to the dining table.
“Good morning ma, good morning sir.” I greeted with a deep bow.
“You do not need to be so formal anymore.” Kayden’s Dad said to me and I smiled happily, it felt quite weird having people care and love you this much.
“Good morning mum, good morning Dad.” Kayden greeted and kissed his mum’s cheek.
“Mum, Dad, I would have to leave for work now” he announced.
“Take a look at this young man, he sucks at taking care of his mate.” his dad shook his head.
“Dad, I very well know how to take care of my own mate, she simply requested for the space.” Kayden replied.
“That’s still what I am trying to tell you. You have no clue about women, when she tells you to leave, she wants you to stay.”
I was about to get into the conversation when I heard the screeching of luggage
“Good morning,” Lauren mumbled a greeting to everyone, she was pulling her luggage after her.
“Thought she said she was never going to leave,” Cara smirked and I held back a chuckle.
“Hello, Miss Lauren.” I greeted her with a very faux smile.
“Lauren, you’re leaving already?” Kayden’s mum asked and she nodded slightly.
“Yes, ma… I… I am sorry for the inconvenience that I have caused, I will just take my leave now.” she replied.
“You know you are always welcome here, right?” Kayden’s mum asked and she nodded, forcing herself to let out a smile.
“I hope there isn’t a really strong hatred between the both of you.” Kayden’s mum added, exchanging glances between me and Lauren.
“Of course not ma’am.” we both chorused.
“Then how about … A hug!” She asked and I put my lips to avoid saying no out loud.
Like how was I supposed to hug Lauren? This very lady sought for nothing but to kill me.
“Mum, I do not think that would be necessary. I am getting sick of her presence already, can she just leave?” Kayden groaned and I badly wished his mum would listen but she did not.
“Just one hug.”
Lauren moved closer to me and the both of us grumpily hugged each other. It was a one-second hug, we pulled back almost immediately.
“Let’s go,” Kayden said to me and we both walked out.
“Bye.” I waved to him as his car revved into motion.
“Bye.” he waved back at me.
“Nice one.” I heard Lauren’s voice behind me immediately Kayden left.
“Sorry Lauren, you are the one who eventually packed your things out, please keep in the pain,” I replied to her.
“I am going but sure enough Samantha, I am going to be back and when I am back Samantha, nothing… You would be able to do nothing. I promise you that.”
