CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO.
Danielle had planned not to back down without teaching the Dominicks a good lesson. After the confirmation she got from Shannelle, she was ready to set her plan in motion.
That afternoon, she was meeting with a man, his name was Henry Damon and he was Adele’s ex-boyfriend. How Danielle met with him remained a mystery, but they both had grudges against Jamal and were looking for an opportunity to get back at him.
Danielle knew that working with a man like Henry would yield fruitful results.
“You are here.” Said Henry as he rose from his seat to greet Danielle. He stretched out his right hand for a handshake which Danielle gladly accepted with a smile.
Once they were done with greetings, they sat down to discuss the purpose of their meeting.
“Henry, you have no idea how excited I am to see you. I can’t wait to set this plan in motion so I can teach those brats a lesson.” Said Danielle.
“Me too, Danielle. Ever since Mr. King humiliated me the way he did, I have been wondering how to get back at him. Now that I see a chance, I can’t miss it.”
“Of course you can’t.”
“So, what do you have in mind?”
“Well…” she said and shifted on her seat. “The first thing you need to know is that both Jamal and Adele are untouchable. Going after them is a huge risk we cannot afford to take.” She calmly explained and Henry was a bit confused.
“So, if we’re not targeting Adele and Jamal, who then is our target?” He asked curious and Danielle let out a sly smile.
“That would be no one else, but his sister, Shannelle.” She announced and Henry looked at her, perplexed.
“But why her?”
“Because she is an easier target.”
“But, what makes you think that hurting Shannelle will bother Jamal in any way? I know the man to be cold and emotionless. I don’t think he gives two shits about anyone around him, not even his sister.”
“And that’s where you are wrong. Jamal might appear cold and emotionless to the public, but he is very compassionate. He loves hard and he cherishes all the women in his family. He might not have the best relationship with his sister, Shannelle, but he loves her to bits and he wants nothing, but the best for her.” Danielle explained with all seriousness.
“Ah…” Exclaimed Henry as he calmly nodded his head. “I see. He’s a twisted person, yeah?”
“Very twisted. If you are not close to him enough, you will never really know what’s going on in his life.”
“That’s nothing but the truth.” Danielle confirmed with a nod.
“So tell me, what’s the plan?” He asked eagerly and Danielle smiled at him.
“Before we move to the plan, I want us both to share our reasons why we want this revenge against Jamal. We only just met and found out that we have been hurt by the same person and would like to get revenge on him, but neither of us knows what Jamal did to the other.” Danielle explained and Henry nodded his head in agreement.
“That’s true.”
“So, I will go first. You see Jamal, even though he denies it all this time, is my childhood friend. I have known him since the moment I learned to talk and walk and reason. Both our mothers were best friends and as we grew up, our families planned that we were going to get married once we came of age. In that light, I grew up loving Jamal, knowing that he was going to be my husband, but Jamal on the other hand had a different plan in mind. He never wanted to be close to me and I thought maybe it was just his style, but I knew things were falling apart for me when accepted to marry the girl his grandmother had arranged for him and that girl was no one else, but Adele, a girl who had been adopted by his grandmother when she was five years old. I thought it was a joke when I heard it from Shannelle, but when his mother confirmed, I got alarmed. Even the fact that I had a hold on him did not make him leave that girl for me.” Danielle explained sadly.
“Have a hold on him? What do you mean by that?” He asked in a state of confusion.
He didn’t see Jamal to be the kind of man who anyone in the world could have a hold on.
“Well, you see… Jamal made some smart moves in the company which got his father scared. So, the old man decided to set traps for him. He made Jamal sign fraudulent document without his knowledge. Documents that could completely damage his reputation and send him to jail if they reached the police. I somehow found out about this and reported to Jamal. I managed to steal the documents from his father, but I didn’t give them to Jamal immediately. I held onto them, hoping I could buy him over with his freedom, but I failed. The smart man managed to get those documents from me and freed himself from his father’s chains and dumped me. Now, he is happily married to his wife and I’m the loser.”
“That’s cruel!”
“I know, right? That’s why I want to teach him a bitter lesson. And I’m going to use his sister to teach him that lesson.”
“It’s sad what you had to go through in his hands, Danielle. You have every right to plot this revenge. He deserves payback for hurting you.” Henry confirmed and Danielle nodded her head as she sipped more wine from her glass.
“Well… over to you.” She smiled at him and Henry bowed his head down and let out a heavy sigh before looking up at her again.
“For me, Jamal seized my girlfriend and humiliated me several years later yet again in her presence.”
“Hmmm… that sounds intense.” She exclaimed and Henry chuckled.
“Adele and I were course mates back in college, but I was her senior. So, I used to help her a lot with homeworks and other school stuff and all of a sudden, feelings started coming in and before we knew it, we were dating. I don’t know how Jamal found out, but he came over to Britain in person and asked me to break up Adele. I refused and he threatened to use his power and influence to make my life miserable when I returned back to the country. I got scared, I mean I was from a poor background, i went to Britain for studies on scholarship and had to return home after the program was over. I didn’t want to come back and lead a miserable life because of a girl, so I told him I would leave her alone. He even offered me a huge amount of money which I took and broke up with Adele. She was heartbroken, but the money and my future were more important, so I left.”
“Good choice there. It feels good to know that bitch has once experienced heartbreak.” Danielle chipped in and Henry just chuckled.
“A few years later, Adele and I met again and this same man humiliated me in public, that’s what I can’t let go of. I have to get back at him for doing that to me.”
“And I have the perfect plan for that.”
“I’d be delighted if you’d be kind enough to share it with me.”
“Of course I will. You see, Jamal cherishes his sister so much and he has big plans for her as long as she doesn’t lose her virginity. She’s my best friend and we have dated guys, but she has never slept with any, because of her brother’s orders. She already has a husband found by her brother and sooner or later, the guy will be coming home to marry her. No one knows who he is, only Jamal. So, what I want is for her to lose that very precious virginity of hers. It’s going to haunt her brother for the rest of his life. His sister getting defied by a random man is the last thing he wants and he will be deeply hurt if that happens.”
“So, you want me to take her virginity?”
“Yes. Jamal hates you, because you dated Adele. Imagine him finding out that the same man he had paid off to leave Adele has defied his sister.”
“Oh boy! He’s going to lose it!”
“Exactly! That’s exactly what I want. For him to lose it, just like I have right now. So, what do you think about the plan?”
“Brilliant! I mean, I get to enjoy myself pretty well and hurt the man I hate the most in the world. That’s like shooting two birds with a single stone. I’m all in!” He confidently agreed and Danielles heart skipped with joy.
She had known Henry was definitely going to agree to the plan.
“So, how are we going to do it? How am I going to meet with her?”
“Leave that to me. She’s actually single right now, so I’m gonna go talk to her about you. I’m going to tell her sex, is the last thing you want in a relationship and she’s going to believe me because she trusts me very much. By tomorrow, you two will meet and the deed will be done!”
“I will be waiting then.”
“Cool” she said and smiled.
She was finally going to get back at Jamal for breaking her heart by choosing Adele over her.
