{Follow Your Heart}

Nova POV..
“Because, I want to understand how I will feel if he’s not around for a while but he keeps texting. ” I replied and glanced at Crystal staring at me with so much interest.
“You want to understand your feelings for him, without knowing much about him. ” She mumbled and dropped her fork, she wiped her lips and looked at me deeply.
“Spend time with him and try to understand those sudden and strange feelings you feel around him.. ” Sis Cali uttered and took my hand. I look down to it.
“I was planning to reply to his texts tonight and settle things. But-” I paused and looked at sis Cali, then I looked at Crystal.
“I don’t want him to take advantage of my love for him, I fell in love with him at your college graduation but he wasn’t aware. I could remember how he acts normal with me then but now that he realizes I’m in love with him, he acts somehow. ” I paused to inhale and exhale. Crystal and Sis Cali listen to me with kin interest. It’s so good to have someone I can share my words and feelings with. I should probably be sharing this like this with my elder sister but she is occupied with stuff and they are eating her up. Cali is also my sister, she’s been there for me when I needed it the most… Just lucky me.
“On a normal day before I decided to act as if I don’t care, I will be one to beg him to reply my messages, he will read them and still ignore every fucking thing I say to him. Camila decided to come up with a plan to ignore him,,, I should let him be the one doing what I was doing but I didn’t give her words that day a second thought. I just wash it away from my ear and kept begging Landon the egocentric id*ot keep ignoring me. ” I stopped talking when I realized I’m already in tears.
“When and how did you decide to take Camila’s advice?? ” Crystal asked curiously… I chuckled and sniffed in.
“When a waiter saw how I was sending Landon messages seconds after seconds and she asked me “Are you begging a man to love you because you love him???. ” I burst into tears when she said that to me.
She looked at me with disgust… My mind told me, actually my mind picture Landon looking at me with disgust. My head made me understand how Landon looks at me, he looks at me with disgust, ignoring me because I disgust him…
Sis Cali inhales sharply..
“So you think,,, he looks at you with disgust.. ” Crystal stuttered and I nodded.
“I … don’t … know what to say? You know?? ” She stuttered and shrugged.
“What are you going to do now? ” Crystal asked, I released a deep breath and stared at the table.
“I will just talk to him, cool cool.. Tell him to not disturb him again and then I will blast him with words he never had since his stay on earth. ” I mumbled and Sis Cali laughed..
“Teens will always be teens.. She stopped laughing at once and I looked at her. Reply to his message and be cool. Follow your heart Nova, love isn’t by force, Don’t be pressured by what’s happening in your surroundings, don’t take the wrong decision because of some shit. Follow your heart, study him—
“Study him? How?? ” Crystal intruded.
“You understand the study, I mean Nova. ” Cali asked and I nodded.
“Don’t worry, you’re still a kid.. Wait for your time.. ” I whispered to her and she pouted.
“So, I… should… follow… my… heart… ” I stuttered, staring at her and she nodded. The rest of our dinner conversation was just random party talk.
Everyone got their respective rooms, same with me. I lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling and my phone vibrated.
“Follow your heart…. ” Her voice echoed through the walls of my room and I shut my eyes. I opened it at once and touched the screen…
“Pick the call, Red or Green… ”
