There was a power outage. Loud sighs could be heard below the stage. But none was scared, for they thought it was part of the party.
Five seconds later, the projection screen on the wall turned on.
Liu Dadong didn’t know what had happened, and said to Xu Changchun, “Is it your arrangement?”
“No, it isn’t.”
“Go away quickly. Someone snuck in.” Li Dadong quickly left from the secret passage that had been built previously.
What were played on the projection screen were the video clips of the scandalous scenes of the so-called senior members taking drugs or having sexual intercourse.
All the lights were turned on. Someone saw himself on the screen. The crowd became disturbed and everyone was trying to push towards the gate. In case these videos were spread out, these respected people enjoying great prestige were going to be crestfallen on losing their faces.
“Please, everyone, don’t move about and cooperate with us police in the investigation.”
There were someone crying, others making phone calls or covering their faces. There were still some others who faked nonchalance. In this world, everyone behaved differently. The spot was like a stage and everyone here was an actor or actress.
When Pu Yuanhui hurriedly rushed into the room where Li Dadong was in, they had gone away for a long time. Pu had to do downstairs.
Jiang Youyou saw Bai Zhehan on the scene. He was group leader of PT141 and he still had a notebook in his hand. The nurse beside him was another one, a new round-faced nurse. Bai Zhehan took off his mask and looked at Jiang Youyou and Pu Yuanhui coldly.
“Are you still reminiscing the pleasure you felt at that night?” Bei Zhehan said, “Your new boyfriend is rather good. Does he know you made that call in the past?”
Jiang Youyou squatted on the ground, put her hands over her ears.
Pu Yuanhui rushed over and gave Bei Zhehan a blow. Huang Yu stopped him. “I beg your pardon, but its police time now, and it is not necessary to handle your personal grudges right now.”
Jiang Youyou looked at Huang Yu. Why was she here? Wasn’t she the GM assistant in the company?
Until the three went out could they see people string by string came out from inside, with their heads down. Women covered their heads with their hairs and men with their clothing.
When they arrived at the police station and met with Huang Yu, jiang Youyou suddenly became aware that there were always unexpected things in this world. How could she think of the fact that the GM assistant of the company could actually be an undercover from the police?
So why should this company make such a fuss?
Jiang Youyou told Huang Yu all she knew.
“Do you know anything about the list? That is, the list of Bancegreen customers they had when Pharmaceutical Department of Ozanger Company cooperated with OSY Company six years ago.” Huang Yu asked.
Jiang Youyou recalled, “Actually I did hear someone talking about this. It was said the cooperation stopped because the drug was a violation of the law. And the company really built up its fortune by this deal. As to the client list, I don’t know it clearly. Why should you want this list?”
Huang Yu made no reply, nor she had a reply herself. The reason why she had been lurking in OSY for so long was to get an answer.
Of course Li Dadong and Xu Changchun, who were still in a state of shock, knew the answer. When the three first began to do this, the list belonged to Dai Hui to avoid leaks. But no one had expected that Dai Hui would give up the operation of the business.
Taking it at face value, the list is only a trading list of Bancegreen, but it was in fact involved in another layer of dealings.
Each foreign customer on the list had a contract behind, according to which fifty percent of the profits from the dealings would be distributed to some other people. These other people were Chinese. To be exact, they were the running-away officials from the mainland of China. The money they carried with them were quite limited and it was going to take only a few years for them to fritter away their fortune. The address and whereabouts as well as the bank account number of these running-away official were top secret. When Li Dadong first began to operate the business at that time it really brought him a lot of trouble-how could he ensure the business could make money and provide income to those in need in the western hemisphere as well. He could keep in touch with only one of them, and the name and account number they provided were all foreigners. They had signed the contract which stipulated that each party should share half of the profits, while an extra twenty percent would be returned to Li Dadong, Dai Hui and Xu Changchun after each transaction.
And this arrangement was due to Dai Hui, for one of his relative was on the list, and he was the only person the man trusted. The other two had to work in with him. Li Dadong was in charge of dealing with the relations with upper strata people and Xu Changchun was responsible for financing and auditing the development of the drug. As to the Oriental Angel Club, it could not only attract high-level officials, but also raise funds. The club had been in operation for three years without any mistakes, but now was uprooted, naturally the two had a lingering fear. Now the three were having a discussion for taking countermeasures.
“In my opinion, this is not a place to stay.” Dai Hui advised Li Dadong, “I had got the route of retreat ready. As long as we have chickens, we will certainly have eggs. But if we stay here, I’m afraid we’ll have a lot of bad luck, even to death.” Dai Hui’s wife had already in Canada. He had purchase real estate, and he even had helped Li Dadong to buy a piece. So the two could be neighbors.
Li Dadong slapped the table hard. “As soon as possible if we had to go.”
“It will take three days as soon as possible if we try to leave. I don’t think the police will dig us out, and I’ve already arranged to have someone as a scapegoat for us.”
“And what about your daughter and son-in-law?”
“Xu Nuo will go with me. Don’t mention the son-in-law. How could he be my son-in-law since they haven’t got married? Just get rid of him. And I’ll go to deal with the thing immediately. Don’t go out these days if you don’t have anything important to do. That’ll put you in a high-profile position.”
“Yes, I know that.” Li Dadong nodded.
And then in the police station, Huang Yu saw Jiang Youyou bite her tongue, so she asked, “Is there anything else I can do for you?”
Jiang Youyou looked serious, “GM Asistant Huang, oh, no, I should say ‘Officer Huang’, tonight at that party I saw a man standing next to the man holding the champagne.”
“Do you know him? Tell me where is him quickly. This is a very important clue, why didn’t you say it earlier?”
