Book:Cursed Alpha's Witch Mate Published:2024-5-31

“I…. I’m selling some delicious grilled fish that you and your lady friend are sure to enjoy. You shouldn’t feel obligated to pay me anything for it. Let me explain: to you, from the bottom of my heart. “A bow followed as he finished, and someone else quickly rose up.
“Al… Alpha King, I also have some excellent soup in my shop over there, and I’m so sure you’d like to take a taste of it. ”
Someone else also sprang to their feet:
“I have some great new wine that the Alpha King should try. Have faith in me, Alpha King; this wine is unlike any you’ve ever had before. ”
A second voice then said, “My tavern is just over there, Alpha and I have so many beverages and games you’d want to check out…”
“Yes! You and your lady might engage in some friendly competition. ”
After one marketer spoke, another one did, and soon everyone wanted a chance to weigh in. When Ella realized how everything had ended, she shed a tear. And with a bright grin on her face, she wiped it away. Spenser, too, was taken aback by what he saw. Ready the party drums!!!! A much more resounding voice boomed out from the throng.
“We’re going to make the King’s night a party today!”
Kacy
Having heard what she had, Lady Kacy was unable to settle down in her chamber. She was pacing back and forth, her hands on her waist.
After a time, she flopped into the bed and covered her face with her hands.
“King William…. Why would he want to provoke a war between the Wolves and witches?” And why would he ever consider doing that? Just because he fancied himself a potential successor to the Alpha King? in all seriousness?
She groaned deeply.
she had a responsibility to forewarn the Wolves.
She had to warn them about it, even if it meant betraying him.
To have an outburst like King William was attempting to prevent may have had catastrophic consequences. And she couldn’t stand by and do nothing as she turned her head to look out the window.
It was too late for a message to be sent, since it was already far past sunset. So, she would always start the day by sending a letter to her sister.
For sure, she’d send a letter to her informing her of the news so that she could notify the King. She would behave just like that. She took a long breath, pleased with herself for having devised a constructive strategy. There came an abrupt tap on the door. Her eyes sprang up in alarm, betraying her anxiety and concern. Uh-uh. Could it be that he was trying to get in touch with her? Really, she didn’t feel like seeing him just now?
Although she made efforts to calm herself, King William himself entered the room just as she was beginning to regain composure, causing her heart to race and her eyes to get heavy.
As he stopped at the door and leered at her, she felt a wave of heat wash over her forehead. Oh my… I can’t believe he showed up then.
The truth was, she expected one of his sons to be there… How well would she be able to conceal her anxiety? While undoubtedly analyzing her features, King William kept the door open and just gazed at her for a long time. How serious is the situation?
Finally, he inquired, his tone cunning and menacing, and Kacy, terrified, answered in the negative.
“Are you fine? “William questioned as he approached her on foot.
“Y… Yes. She took a deep breath and looked down as she felt him approach,
“Just a bit dizzy, but I’ll be OK.” William rounded the corner and stood behind her, then put both hands on her shoulders.
“But you are nervous, Why? “As he gently rubbed her shoulders, he said,
“I love you. ”
“Are you certain that you don’t have anything you’d want to tell me? ”
“No; No. “Kacy shook her head firmly.
“I’m quite fine, Your Majesty. “TFor a few more seconds, King William massaged her, but then he raised his hand to her neck and grabbed it firmly.
Kacy drew her hand up to her neck to touch his, but she couldn’t bring herself to release his grip.
“Are you serious about thinking I’m that dim? ”
She heard him snarl in her ear as he continued to choke her.
Kacy didn’t know what to say and didn’t understand what was going on.
“You have no right to eavesdrop on my private communication. ”
Realizing she was running out of breath, she sputtered,
“William, ple… ase.”
But William didn’t stop, at least not right away. Finally, he released his grip on her neck and hurled her to the floor, where she struggled to catch her breath.
He said, “Kacy, listen to me now. I’m determined to see my goals through no matter what stands in my way. Don’t even think about trying to stop me, because if you did, it would be the last thing you ever got to do. I swear to you, Kacy, if anybody finds out about this, I will have a stake driven through your heart as I watch you burn. Do you get it? ”
Her sobs were so loud that he could hear them through the shock on her face as she glanced at him.
As he yelled, she nodded her head sadly. •
King William stormed out of the chamber.
The air was filled with the resounding boom of sticks striking party drums and the joyous clapping and dancing of the villagers.
There was a huge crowd in the market because everyone heard the King was there, and they all wanted to see the “Simple” King. Viscar and the guards were still far away, but near enough to dash into rescue if necessary.
Even though the King and his wife were surrounded by revelers, the villagers were respectful enough to keep their distance and play drums, dance, and celebrate without choking them.
When one of the guys brought Ella to his bar, she beamed from ear to ear. One of her greatest fortunes was that this night had gone as well as it did.
As they made their way to the pub, the villagers continued to drum and dance. However, as they arrived, only a select handful were let inside with him.
